as a fan of tyson i wouldnt want him to fight no more cos he is just going to get hurt, if he couldnt beat mcbride, he wont beat these two guys either.

To compare boxing to MMA an vise versa is like comapring apples to oranges because they are two different sports, hence it would be a waste of people's time. I'm not a particularly huge boxing fan but I don't trash the sport. People like dasamm are ignorant and should watch MMA before making any stupid comments. First and foremost, the terminology you hear on MMA broadcasts have been around longer that a lot of us have been (look it up man). Apparently you did not know that because you're not a fan. It's too bad. MMA is a legitimate sport with a legitimate skill set. If you didn't know that, that's because you don't watch. Secondly, in the early 19th or 20th century boxing was considered as MMA is now, an up and coming sport which people considered as "not a sport at all" and rather barbaric. So I urge boxing fans who don't intend to try to find any interest in MMA to not trash the MMA. We were in the same place as you were not so long ago. There are a lot of MMA fans out there that continue to support the sport, such as boxing fans did when it was "barbaric". That's how boxing became so big and how MMA will become bigger in the future. Don't hate on what you don't know.. it doesn't make you smarter or a better person.. just a bigger idiot. You're right. This is a boxing thread and people should not talk about MMA in it but since it is what it is, it becomes relevant for either MMA boards and boxing boards, so step off dude. Don't be changing the topic and keep your opinions to yourself nobody wanted to hear it.

Mike Tyson now is nothing compared to the mike tyson 20 years ago i'm a huge Boxing and MMA fan and i think you put Tyson in a ring and take away all the rules that boxing had i think he still has some fight in him.

If tyson learnt the basics in thai and a few takedowns i think he could earn a few $$$ in pride,well UFC or cage rage etc now pride is just a memory, and i think he could put on a decent show, after all when he quit with mcbride it was after 6 rounds, and i think he could put on a good show for 3 rounds, (yes i know there 5 mins)


i dont think he would get anywere ranking wise but it would draw a few more ppv buys if he fought someone like tank abbott with a decent build up with a "who really is the baddest man on the planet"

The bottom line is the man does not like to fight. Boxing, UFC, Pride are all 80-90% Mental so he cant suceed as a fighter anymore.
