i say tyson ko 7
lewis wins if he can keep him at end of hes jab if he cant tyson by ko but its hard to say
tyson KO
i have never really liked tyson i think he is way overated u should see people on youtube saying hes best ever not even ali could beat him lol ;)
That first round with Lennox and old Tyson, Lennox looked tight, not relaxed, uncomfortable...
I can understand why some say Lennox wins, with Lennox underratted while Tyson over.
But I'd have to go and choose the bad*ss from Catskill, TYSON.
It would be pretty similar to how they boxed as kids .
Iron Mike comes in quick gets into range , Lewis struggles to keep him off. Mike looks dangerous for a couple of rounds . As it goes on Lewis starts to handle him pretty well . Tyson starts eating jabs , uppercuts , straight rights . As soon as he feels the power he'l start backing off and Lewis knocks him out
Untill Lewis exploded with a few jack-hamemer right uppercuts 8)Quote:

One explosive punch could change the whole fight though.
Prime Tyson would not be a easy to hit even for Lewis. His defence was brilliant plus his head movement and bobbing and weaving would get him inside and BANG lewis is out. Tyson KO.
Prime Tyson takes a prime Lewis out in 8 rounds....Tyson is too active, busy and his movement was exceptional.
Prime Tyson is a handful for any of the greats...
I'll take ring smarts over power house rage anyday.
Lewis by TKO...prime or no prime. Lewis was just too smart & too long for Tyson.
in his prime, tyson beat alot of good boxers, convincingly. Tyrell briggs, a prospect, olypic gold medalist who ITHINK beat lewis in the amatuers. Tyson whooped the guy silly their fight.
if you watch the young tyson fights just for the sake of it then you will miss his great technique. i know the stuff he does in the ring. My trainer has taught me the same style, bobbing and weaving...
anyways, watching him use them defensive moves with so much effectiveness is awe-inspiring. he was a great technician in his prime and not a wild headhunting brawler like he becAme later in his career!
i watch tyson before i fight (amateur) just to refresh my mind on what i have to do (technically). Just watch the fight against briggs and ribalta, the defense, whilst still being aggressive is amazing.
a Young tyson was too good, and he would have easily caught tyson more than a few times in a round....= Tyson KO 3
whilst watchin the prime tyson fights, i noticed he rarely gets caught with more than 1/2 punches. so those of you that think that a PRIME tyson would be eating uppercuts all night, are crazy :o

sure would be a great match-up. But I say Tyson. Too much power and great defensive skill.
I would have loved to see prime tyson vs prime Ali.
lewis beats tyson. tyson had trouble with tony tucker +razor ruddock and was beaten by douglas who wasnt the greatest either i say tyson has hes moments but lewis kos tyson round about 8 or 9 rounds lewis would use hes 6 inches height advantage and much longer reach to keep tyson at bay
Im With Von I WOuld Also Love To See Prime Tyson Vs Prime Ali Ive Always Wanted To See This Cuz When I think Of Boxing or Anyone Says Anything About Boxing Its Usually Ali Or Tyson Me Myself Like Ali Better But it Would Be Ausome To Watch But No They Had to Get Old :'(
that would b sick----ali wins by ud---he would play around with tysons head, and would be able to take anything tyson could dish out--he survived--liston and foreman--plus and old ali could take shavers punches--so awsome tough fight--but ali would win.......not easilyQuote:

IMO. The fight would end in a draw. :P
possibly sooner...the animal under Cus D'mato was unstoppable.....with Rooney and Atlas there as well he couldn't be beat....Quote:

Some guys just have the elements in their game to beat another guy any day of the week
Lewis beats Tyson in primes, in space, on the moon, whether it's sunny or rainy...Lennox Lewis wins!
ESPN just had the Tyson-Douglas fight on - again - last week or so, and I watched this time to compare Douglas and Lewis.
I thought that even though Douglas could be proud of his resiliance and ability to catch Tyson often - what I was looking for in him (someone who was fighting with Lewis' skill and grace) just wasn't there.
He done good but of course folks will be quick to remind us of the Japanese ladies and the partying on Tyson's part.
Obviously a prime and prepared Tyson has excellent chances against absolutely anybody. He had great defense, was not just the swarm-puncher 1st round ko (hey that sounds familiar) artist which he also certainly was.
A wide-awake, mentally and physically prepared Lewis, barring a "lucky" (hard to call it lucky considering it's Tyson but I'll let it ride) punch - Lewis navigates through the first four rounds, then begins to dictate and wears him out, KO late or comfortable UD.
It is the 6th round. The date is March 23, 1990. Lewis is confident he's made it this far. He's starting to establish the jab...tyson looks like he's winded, but in reality he's simple resting until he's final flurry. It happens. Oh my god. Tyson stuns lewis with an uppercut and continues a 5 punch combo knocking lennox back into the ropes. Lewis is out on his feet. Tyson just hit lewis with an uppercut as lewis is about to fall. The punch has pushed lewis's nose bone into his cerebral cortex. Lewis falls lump onto the canvas. Blood is coming out of his eyes. TV cameras cut.
RIP Lennox.
Is this the dream Tyson has while lying unconcsious in the back of an ambulance from the arena to the ER after Lennox KOs him in the 9th?Quote:

Nope. It was the dream Tyson had the night before he fought Lewis. He was too knocked out to have any dreams in the ambulance ;)Quote:

And I think that Tyson only hit about 75% of what he could have been and that was at the age of 19.
Great response!! ;D :coolclick:Quote:

This is the only heavywieght I've seen tailor made to beat even prime Tyson... He is bigger, stronger, smarter than Tyson in the ring, and he is quicker than any other heavyweight even comming close to matching him in size. Lewis wins this by UD ala Jab+cross.
Cus would of gave Rooney the gamplan to beat Lewis and they would of work from there. Tyson is not the smartest fighter their is but he had a great advisor and that makes up for it. Tyson would of went the distance and won a UD. Tyson could not knock out Green or Tillis, so I really doubt he would of knock out Lewis.
O0 EASY.
I hated Mike Tyson. He was the freakin boogie man of boxing.
Prime Tyson unbeatable. (IMO)
Lewis all the way. Tyson came into boxing at a good time where his style was unique, but he also had Don King behind him making his opponents to be cop killers or monsters. Tyson did not face anyone near as dangerous Lewis in any of his fights before he went to jail. Of course a heavyweight boxing match can be decided with one good punch, which both boxers had.
Lewis has said before that when he sparred with a young Tyson he thought "I don't wanna run into this guy in the ring, he's an animal". Tyson did have problems with good boxers even in his prime but at worst he would win on points or stop them in the middle rounds. It'd be hard for Lennox to land regularly on Mike with all the offense and headmovement. Not to mention he would not give Lennox space to get leverage on his shots. I think Mike would eventually overwhelm Lennox and probably stop him around the 7th. But if somehow Lennox could get past the 7th or 8th and keep it in the middle of the ring, he too could win the fight.
This whole "Prime Tyson is unbeatable" stuff is BULLSHIT! Who was there to fight Tyson from '86-'90??? The reason Tyson seemed unbeatable is because there was a lack of talent around his age and everyone who was halfway decent was old as hell.
Now when you compare Tyson to Holyfield, Lewis, and Bowe he just doesn't stack up. All of those guys would just whip his ass if they fought him, prime or not!
A guy who in my opinion would have given him a tough go is RAY MERCER a good boxer, great chin and lots of tenacity...he'd go the distance and the deeper you take Tyson into a fight the better shot you have of winning
