I thought Warren was promising a mega career defining fight in February?? Im sorry but Johnson is an honest enough fighter who will be a tough fight, but this aint a meggar fight, a mega fight would be against a guy who is actully in the top 20 p4p, a Wright, Taylor or Hopkins is a mega fight not Johnson, i would definlty intrested but its not a fight i would countdown from the day it was made. I think the Wright fight would be quite easy to make, Wright is an honest boxer who fights anyone for a good fee, i mean if Warren could pay Tsyzu $5 million im sure with more Us intrest in a Calzaghe v Wright fight rather than Hatton v Tzysu, $5 Million could be made for Wright's purse, im sure he would take that all day.Quote:

I have seen Winky call out Calzaghe on at least 10 occasions since the Lacey fight, Winky is to small? I dont think theres that much difference, Calzaghe will be physically stronger but Winky is far the better boxer, he just beat IMO Taylor who is naturally bigger than Calzaghe, the guy has just turned 27 hes young and can make the weight but i think he will finsih his career at 175 and is naturally bigger than Calzaghe, and Winky dealt with the weight no problem, this is an easy fight to make imo, like i say Johnson would be a decent fight, but Warren is building it up as if its going to be the best two boxers in the world going at it when its far from it, Johnson was comfortably beaton by Tarver in his last big fight, so like i say he is nowhere near the elite, so this megafight shit is pissing me off, but Warren is business man and knows fighting Johnson will be cheaper than any of the mentioned, which in turn will make him more money.Quote:

Dont talk utter bollocks mate, the Lacy fight was being talked about on nearly every n this forum and every other one, Lacy was an undefeated World Champ who was being billed as the next World Superstar ( tyson -deal hoya esc) Mate this fight was being talked about more than any other fight on here this year, please someone tell me different, its good to say that after the result and perfromance is in, but go scroll back to say January - the fight in March, this was a huge fight, Johnson is not half as big fight and half as diffucult as Lacy was supposed to be.Quote:

For me Lacy still has to prove himself. And I challenge you to find anything posted by me claiming otherwise.Quote:

killersheep, now your talking sh1t. every1 was excited about the fight with lacy. Not many ppl expected lacy to lose that fight, how could you say you wasnt so impressed with him taking on lacy. Every motherf***er on this forum was talking about the fight. Im sorry but just go kill yourself!
Show me where at any point I mentioned being excited about the Lacy fight, and what are you like 10? "Go kill yourself?" c'mon now. It's not like the Lacy fight wasn't a big deal, read what I said.....I am more impressed with Glen Johnson, why? because he is a proven boxer, Lacy still has a little work to do. I've never jumped on the "He's gonna rule the world" bandwagon with any fighter that has had that little experience, except for Paul Williams.Quote:

I can see :
1) the bum bika KO7
2) Wright UD
3) Taylor
Taylor will have no other option than fighting the man who defeated Winky....it would be an awesome retirment plan ^^
I don't care what he looked like, he was 6 pounds lighter on fight night... :PQuote:

Doesn't matter how much more Calzaghe weights than Wright cause Wright beats Calzaghe every day of the week!!!Quote:

Hitting him, a lot... you don't need to be god to beat Glen Johnson at this stage in his career... I have a feeling Woods is going to do just that.
Hope this helps.
And no Winky wouldn't beat Calzaghe no matter what, not only do we have weight divisions for a reason but winky's style is actually very good for Calzaghe...
If Winky was a natural 168 pounder I might feel differently, but he is fighting some one that in my opinion is closer to being a natural 200 pounder and he is a natural 154 pounder.
Woods ain't winning sh*t, Johnson's gonna beat him like he did before. Should be 2-0 against Wood's if not for that BS draw!Quote:

Sorry but if your defence is based on blocking then you are not going to get a lot of good counter opportunitys against some one who throws flurries.
stay out of big boys way ?? i think wright better stay out of calzaghes way otherwise its going be bad beatdown for wright ;)

Winky and Johnson could take Calzaghe.
Don't get me wrong, I think that they would both be brilliant fights.
Winky isn't just defense you have to take into consideration his jab
which in my opinion would keep Joe away all night long.
Johnson, (who is naturally bigger) would keep Joe off-balance and unable
to get anything off, because if it's one thing Glen can do, it's hit from any angle.
And to counter the argument Calzaghe has never beat anyone with Winky's defense.
Either fight the result is the same Calzaghe loses by 1-2 rounds on all judges scorecards.
Just my opinion.
I agree with you Killer, Calzaghe's never fought no one like Wright. Sure Joe throws a lot of punchers but with Wright jab will nutralize Calzaghe & frustrating him. Then theres also Wrights defense. IMO Wright wins by decision.Quote:
