For people doing the Killersheep Sports Book *please read*
I am already thinking ahead to next season ;D
What I would like to do is add a fantasy boxing element to the sports book.
There would be a draft, where people would get to pick fighters, then if
they fight, win, win by KO you would win money just for having them. The
fighters you pick will be tradable, buyable, sellable etc......and you can keep them
from season to season. You will not lose money by having them under any circumstance.
1) Each fighter can be picked only once.
2) You have to have $1000 in your bank at the end of the season for each fighter to transfer them
to the next season.
3) Any trade must be made publically on the Sports Book thread with both parties and myself acknowledging the
trade.
4) The available fighters will be The Ring Magazines top 10 for each division (including the champ) on the day(s) of the draft.
5) I'm thinking about having 3 rounds for the draft pick the next season and 2 rounds thereafter.
6) The draft order will be the order that people sign-up.
So what do you guys think?
Payouts would be
Fights (loses or draws) $1000
Wins $2000
Wins by KO $3000

Terrific idea, it'll be a heck of a lot of work to run, but it would be really fun to take part in. Maybe a sweepstake could be ran, $20 a piece through paypal, top 5 share the money :P ???

I'd love to do that, however since the handicapped gambling is involved, unfortunately it's a class5 felony where I live.

I suppose now is a good time to explain how this is going to work.
This is kinda how it will look--------sorta-------------maybe---------
There will be a whole post that will have your stable.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wallace
1) John Ruiz - heavyweight - paid out $2000 11/5/69 - paid out $1000 4/25/07
2) Audley Harrison - doesn't matterweight
3) Butterbean -overweight
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
superheavyrhun
1) Ricardo Mayorga - Light Middleweight - paid out $1000 12/4/06
etc. etc.
There will furthermore be a final post that has available fighters and how much they cost.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
====================
Heavyweights
====================
Wladimir Klitschko $8,840.00
Nicolay Valuev $6,840.00
James Toney $6,170.00
====================
Cruiserweights
====================
O'neil Bell $10,980.00
Johnny Nelson $7,880.00
Jean Marc Mormeck $6,310.00
etc. etc.
you can buy from the pool at these prices at any time you have money.
you can sell back to the pool and I will make you an offer, usually half of the value and you
can choose to accept or not.
you can buy and sell to other players at an agreed upon price.
you can trade fighters with other players, but not with the pool.
You can transfer your fighters from season to season by paying a $1000 fee per fighter at the end of the season.

Well, this is an add-on to the regular sports book. Read the rules to that here:
http://www.saddoboxing.com/boxing_fo...c,34716.0.html
On top of that next season you will have boxers that you can draft into your stable.
And they can be held onto as kind of stock thing, they pay-out each time they fight.
After you read the rules, reply to this and let me know any specific questions.

Re: For people doing the Killersheep Sports Book *please read*
I week left until the sign-up and first round draft!!
-
Re: For people doing the Killersheep Sports Book *please read*
OK, heads up
This is how it's going to work.
When you sign-up you will make your first round draft pick.
First Round 9/11 - 9/17
After that you will pick in the order you got in.
Second Round 9/18 - 9/24
Third Round 9/25 - 9/29
If you sign up after a round is over you miss that round.
For example
If you sign-up on 9/20 you will get 2nd and 3rd rounds only
If you sign-up on 9/27 you will get 3rd round only.
PLEASE ask your questions now before the draft starts.
