Thanks for the read El Gamo. I like that you can get all these cool articles on here. A long time ago when boxing was supreme, couldn't articles like this be found in daily papers everywhere or would that have just been heavywieght bouts? C/

Now, floyd is going to connect with a very high % of punches, but it's gonna be angles and he will be boxing circles around old baldy.

correct again, he is bullying better than the bully (Gatti) and pushes hard enough to get into the mind (Judah) but Mayweather is by far NEITHER of these fighters.....I see an easy UD for Mayweather.

Oscar and Shane are stronger than Mayweather, but it's not like there murderous punchers themselves. 10 oz gloves hurt them more.

It's hard for me to believe that Baldo can get PBF corner adn make him go toe to toe, PBF is too start to let that happen to a slower man.

Yeah... Go toe to toe and he will get beat up... but lets be serious... he is a smart fighter who will stay on the outside and box unless forced to the inside which doesnt happen often. He stays on the outside and Baldi gets Gattified... Gets Michelfied... Gets Judafied

I don't doubt that Floyd will stand in the pocket a fair amount of the time. When was the last time he really used his legs a lot? Castillo 2? He's become a relatively stationary fighter, maybe Baldomir will make him move, I don't know. He is the first real pressure fighter floyd's fought since Castillo so maybe he will move around more. Floyd saying he's gonna go toe to toe with him doesn't mean he's not going to box, his defense inside and at medium range is tremendous.
Baldo's just so predictable, he doesn't really have the greatest punch variety, he mainly comes in, jabs some, throws the right hand, works the body a bit. It shouldn't be hard for Floyd to figure out, should be pretty much a 12 round clinic.

I think Floyd will look a million dollars in this 1 . Im sure there will be times when he does stand toe to toe and get the better of the trade offs but for the most part he'l be making Baldy miss and making him pay . His counters will be sharp and crisp andf he'l use the ring to leave Carlos stuck in the mud . The Argie has already been K.o'd early and out of 58 fights has only 13kos to his name .
I cant see PBF losing here . It will be an impressive dominating display which will add justification to him being a top 3 p4p fighter

hahaha i doubt PBF would go toe to toe thats the only chance baldo would have is if PBF is not himself and does some ish like this. my advice would be to go to baldo's body and take it to the body all night and i see this ending in a body shot much like mitchells fight.

pbf will go toe to toe in the later rounds after 8-9 rounds of breaking baldomir down into a puddle ;)

Not trying to pull knowledge out of my ass...but to my knowledge (& I could be wrong) Floyd has been using tens since his fight with Corrales due to his brittle hands.
Again...I could be wrong...but I don't believe that I am.

It could have been again Chavez or Hernandez also...I can't remember...but I do remember that he or Roger said something about getting used to the bump up in gloves due to Floyd's hands around that time.
Fwock...maybe they were 8's...but it was around 2001 that the issue came up.
I could go through the discs & hunt it...but they were talking about it after the fight with Merchant.

I think he was wearing 8's against Chavez.
Maybe he moved to tens later than I thought...but it was during the end speech that they were talking about the gloves & his hands being a factor...I'm almost sure of it.

I don't know about Mayweather's gloves but I know that 10oz gloves are for 154lbs+. I read here on saddo that some commissions moved the limit down to 135 lbs just recently.

Ah. You are correct, and my apologies, Hairdoo. Although the Nevada Athletic Commission page states at one place that the previous rule required fighters from 147 and up to wear 10 oz. gloves, it explicitly states elsewhere that the 10 oz. requirement actually only applied to fighters of above 147 lbs. So this will indeed be Floyd's (and Baldo's) first fight with the 10 oz. gloves.

I "HIGHLY" doubt he will go toe to toe with Baldomir & INO that is just all talk just to get a spark out of Team Baldomir & his camp! PBF isn't that stupid, he won't throw any fight like that cuz he knows that Baldomir would have a change at hurting him & we all know that Floyd doesn't take chances!
