Lennox Lewis vs Shannon Briggs

I just watched this fight again. I forgot how good it was.

Bringgs hurt Lewis badly in the 1st round, and then it went on to be a slugfest until Briggs was stopped in the 5th.

Lennox Lewis did some what of a Roy Jones too, he had his hands down to bate briggs in, and when briggs punched Lewis dropped him with a 1,2.


Probably Lewis' second most exciting fight behind his scrap with Bruno.

what about his scrap with mercer ;)

Mercer beat(on my score cards) a prime or near prime Lennox Lewis.

Then in his very next fight, Holyfield beats Mercer and even puts him on the canvas.


Its funny how styles make fights.

I actually had Mercer winning (by a point) as well. But the fight was close and I never had a problem with the decsion.

Holyfield fought Mercer before Lewis did

Mercer also said after he fought both that he thought Lewis would beat Evander if they met

Watched it again yesterday and thought the decision was just about right 96-94 Lewis.

i had it even mate but very close some of the rounds were too close to call and why was it 10 rounds and not 12 rounds ??

Wasn't a championship fight ;)

would of been good to see 12 rounds to see who won championship rounds and big h did u enjoy fight mate ??

I had hopes for Briggs when he was an up and comer...thought by now he would have already been champ
