Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
By Marc Abrams
High ranking executives from The Hilton, of Atlantic City have informed 15rounds.com that negotiations are very far along in bringing a proposed welterweight fight between Zab Judah and Hector Camacho Jr. to Boardwalk Hall sometime in November..
The Hilton would be the host casino for the fight but with a venue not big enough to host the fight on it's property, The Hilton, would stage the bout at the venue that has housed many of the biggest fights in boxing.
Judah, 34-4 with 25 knockouts is coming off a twelve round unanimous decision to Floyd Mayweather in April in a bout for which he was suspended by the Nevada state commission Larry Hazzard of the New Jersey commission does not have to honor the suspension because it's a disciplinary suspension and not a medical suspension.
Camacho Jr. 41-2-1, 23 knockouts is coming off a eighth round stoppage to Andrey Tsurkan on June 10 in Atlantic City.

Re: Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
Is there a way both fighters can loose? :-\ that would probably be the best result we could get.

cc for the update
having said that, this fight is a joke thats only happening because judah needs a devistating knockout to gain back some of the confidence and momentum that hes lost in his last couple outings.
judah by knockout inside of 4 ;)

Re: Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
This couldn 't possibly be competitive... The best thing you can say about Camacho Jr is that he fights a little like Zab, but he isn't on the same level in any way, he just doesn't have enough to bring out Judah's weaknesses.

Re: Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
That would be AWESOME if Camacho Jr won....I really want to see someone good whip his ass!

Oh!!! now Camachos style is a good one, but a few months back when the rumors going around about Camacho vs. Margarito you ran your mouth about Camacho being shet!!! that Margarito was a punk if the fight happend.
Now all of a sudden 'Done Deal' Zab Judah (cuz as far as his career goes, it's a done deal ;) ) is probably set to fight him and now Camacho Jr. is good enough his style vs. Zabs could make for a good fight ???
Starr I'm gonna start calling you 'Covergirl'
cuz you need to 'make up' your mind. ;D

And I still think that ;) And even though camacho jr won me over in his last fight. Did I say he had a "good style" or did I say that him and Judah's styles would make a good fight?
And as I expected to find somewhere in your post you going to Margarito ::**

Re: Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
Judah via KO,good fight from him to get his confidence back. Yeah Starr,I remember that too,you basically dissed Margarito for that fight even being mentioned and you dissed Camacho too but now Judah is fighting him,it's become more acceptable, heck it may be exciting? ??? Double standards tut tut ;D
-
Re: Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
I think this fight is a good match, . both fighters are ego driven and both are at about at the same level... nice fight.

Zab's plenty good...I just don't like him so let me rephrase that
"I want Camacho Jr. to win and then I would like a good fighter who I am a fan of to beat the ugly off of Camacho Jr.!"

Well you said 'Their styles could make for a good fight' wadda 'ya mean then? That they both have shitty styles and it still makes for a good fight ??? Makes no sense, in order for 'their' styles to make for a good fight then 'their' styles would have to be good. Now you didn't say it word for word but how you phrased sure did.
About Tony, it just so happens that the fact about you dissin' Camacho Jr. was in thread that involved Tony.

'Panchito' Bojado had a lot of promise but never accomplished much except a WBC Youth belt and thats about it. But Starr by any means do not think that by you thrashing Bojado your getting back at me for the dissapointments your Zab has caused you that I point out. I bought into the hype of Bojado but I never claimed him to be something he wasn't. Unlike someone calling himself, king, undisputed, #1 etc. etc. when he got the belts, from the guy who beat, the guy who beat, the guy......
I'm past Bojado hes forgotten about he tried and failed but I didnt and dont loose sleep over it.
Happy now?
But your Zab his career is a done deal and when he looses his next fight, lets see if his opponent has a pulse first cause you and I both know thats even to big of a risk for Zab right now. So once he looses again I will be here to remind you that I told you his career was a done deal.
You still contredicted yourself about Camacho and thats that..

2 division Champ. 3 time Champ. 1 time Undisputed Welterweight Champ. Only lost to Tszyu(One of the greatest 140 pounders in the last 20 years hall of fame lock), Mayweather(Hall of fame lock already) and Baldomir(proving his worth to have that kind of career). I have no shame in Zab's career, sure he could have done more. I can admit he doesn't commit like he should to the sport. But it took him all those accompishments to do so. It took Bojado what..7 fights ???

Re: Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
Young fighters fail to make it all the time, it's a lot more turbulent for a fighter on the rise then it is for a fighter at the top. People with talent like Bojado fail every day on the way up. It's just one of the rigors of the boxing business. Once your at the top, a fighter with the talent of Judah should have never of fallen off like he did. He's had wake up call after wake up call and it hasn't come together for him. Tszyu, Chop Chop, Pineda, Spinks and Baldomir yet he never was sucessful in cashing in on his talent. Sad really.

True. But I'm happy with what he's accomplished. He could have just dissapeared after the Tszyu fight. I was suprised he even got as far as he did after that. Sure he's fallen now, but I'm still happy with what he did with his talent, at least it was a part of something that could have been and will always be in question, I'm happy with that more then if he had just stayed gone after Tszyu.

YOU warn me, who are you the local law enforcement? I say as I please and I must have hit a nerve if I drove you to those lengths of finding a picture of him copying something I types, opening the program, inserting the phrase, coming back here, clicking on CutMeMick, going to my last post, Shit wait a minute you got a lot of extra time on your hands there.....
2 div. Champ thats great most fighters today avg. belts in at least 2 div. OK soooo?
3 time Champ. that just means hes lost twice but managed to win a belt again.
1 time Undisputed Welterwight Champ. Ehhhh!!! Error! it was DISPUTED cuz there was still a guy who was ranked #2 at that time Tony whom Zab said nah!! I'll still call myself undisputed regardless of me not fighting the #2 ranked Welter at that time who also owned the WBO belt.
Starr heres a few examples of undisputed Champs. in a division:
Lennox was Undisputed
Tszyu was Undisputed
and my fav. example of undisputed
RJJ
WBC Light Heavyweight Title
IBF Light Heavyweight Title
WBA Light Heavyweight Title
IBO Light Heavyweight Title
WBF Light Heavyweight Title
IBA Light Heavyweight Title
NBA Light Heavyweight Title
Can anyone dispute him as the REAL champ at that time? Nope.
Starr all you did is name 3 fighters, one great the other good fighters whom he lost to not sure what you were aiming for there but all you did was support my comment about him dissapointing you. ???
And again whats with Bojado? Here let me help you, HE AINT SHET!! HE NEVER DID SHET!!
OK... Now what if I repeat this thread is on Zab vs. Camacho Jr. and the FACT that you contredicted yourself.

Totally disagree, considering the amount of oppertunities he has been given at the big time and not just that but, every time he has a big fight, not only does he lose but what is alarming is the manner in which he loses in&then he has the nerve to proclaim he is the best etc. I think he is vastly over rated, and has been given too many things on a platter&yet he still fails to take advantage of it.

Re: Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
They fight almost exactly alike exept Camacho has zero power. Therefore Zab has the edge

About Tony, it just so happens that the fact about you dissin' Camacho Jr. was in thread that involved Tony.
Yeah I don't think much of Toney ;) And Camacho Jr and Judah's styles are very good for each other ;) Don't make me do this..

After opening that page.
And thats that Bojado never even made it that far ::** I don't hype Judah to be up to anything he's nto either I aint sayin p4p number 1 am I? At LEAST to u.. zab had a career you coulr RIP..Bojado...never made it that far.. and THAT is that!!

If bringing up Bojado makes you feel better about the disspointments Zabs had then so be it.
But WTF does Bojado have to do in a thread about Camacho vs. Zab (Welterweight Div.) ???
Think I need to go re-read the entire thread again, I think I missed something. Be right back. :P

You;re full of it you know that? All those Undisputeds you mention didn't need the WBO belt did they :lickish: Margarito aint shat! Margarito was too busy ducking Spinks by the time Judah was going to fight him :lickish: Again all you do is try to justify Margarito. Facts is facts and Judah was the Undisputed Champ. Example, Baldomir is the Undisputed Champ right now, why? because he beat Zab Judah ::** Mayweather is fighting for the Undisputed Championship against him so shut it! ;)
And I named two greats(Mayweather and Tszyu) and one who is on his way to having that kind of career(Baldomir) So no, Zab hasn't dissapointed me ;)
CMM you're making this too easy :lickish:

I don't think it would be that simple. Remember what Golata and Bowe turned into even Rahman vs Maskaev turned out to be a great fight. I don't think both of their styles need to be great in order for it to be a great fight. If it was that simple then Trinidad vs DLH would have been fight of the century. just my 2 cents though.

Re: Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
Oh!!! I get that majesty the thing is SHE said their styles would make for a good fight. Bowe had talent, Golota had talent. In this case I cant see how their styles would make for a good fight. I just can't. :(

There's always plenty of space on the Margarito badnwagon bro! As for Clottey,he is a MUCH MUCH MUCH tougher fight than Zab and I am quite nervous about that fight. IF Tony wins,it'll be on points,Clottey is tough, uses rough house tactics and is fairl skilled, decent handspeed and power and very good at countering.

How the hell do you know Clottey is a MUCH MUCH MUCH tougher fight then Zab... Look at his record he's never beat anyone, period.. And he's been pro since 1995... He and Margarito deserve each other, and it's still a pick em fight just because he looked good in his LOSS to Baldomir.

Re: Judah - Camacho Jr. ticketed for Atlantic City?
Regardless which one of these snapperheads wins, i am looking forward to seeing both corners/families going for it after the final bell! There is not even close to being 1 brain amongst all of them, cant wait. Bring it on! :banghead: :stonedsmilie:

So that if Margarito wins he can hype and build him up
