Pacquiao finally lands a big mother BIG TIME endorsement: NIKE!!!!!!!!!
The international appeal of Manny Pacquiao continues
Filipino boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao has just signed a deal to endorse sports-related products for the Fortune 500 giant Nike.
Pacquiao flew to Manila last weekend, according to Manila Bulletin Online, to do the first in a series of photo shoots with the Oregon-based multinational, before he headed to General Santos City.
When Pac-Man gets it on with Erik “El Terrible” Morales in their long anticipated rubber match at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Nov. 18, his robe, trunks and boxing shoes will be adorned with the familiar Nike swoosh.
The precise amount Manny is to receive from Nike has not yet been divulged, but, said a member of Pacquiao’s inner circle, “Everybody happy.”
In the old days, Manny wore Pony shoes, but when he faced Oscar Larios at the Araneta Coliseum in July, he was wearing the Japanese label Mizuno.
But those also-ran brands no longer made the grade following Pac’s tenth round KO over Morales in January, when his supremacy in boxing was finally universally recognized.
In addition to his new contract with Nike, the 27-year-old Pacquiao still has ongoing deals with McDonald’s, Motolite, San Miguel Company, Alaxan, Datu Puti and Extreme Magic Sing.
For those fight fans who defied the odds and have thus far remained swoosh-less, all that is liable to change.

I dont think missy meant that to be hateful, more of like a social commentary. How Nike will pay people millions for endorsments, yet give those people who actually make their products next to nothing all in the name of "profit". How a company that is so big and has so much money has the lack of morals to pay many of its workers any kind of real wage. At least thats my interpretation of what missy said!

How Nike will pay people millions for endorsments, yet give those people who actually make their products next to nothing all in the name of "profit". How a company that is so big and has so much money has the lack of morals to pay many of its workers any kind of real wage. At least thats my interpretation of what missy said!

well i take personal offence to when API's or any other poverty stricken nation being forced into sweat shop conditions. i personally also have a friend who's mother died recently cuz she worked her whole life in the sweat shop and inhaled so much sh*t through her nose/mouth that it led to her death. its truly a sad thing folks. the way the comment was made sounded to me it was directed towards pacquiao's philipino background more so than NIKE being corrupt.
i'd rather not say which hotels/casino i co-own, but it aint nothing glamorous by far these are the biggest properties that i own and im only 27. to get to WYNN status shiiiiiit that would take a whole life time if one were to even be so lucky. but we did have our annual corporate conference at the WYNN this past year and im in talks with franchise corporate in buying another well known hotel chain that starts with: "W" wink wink. but my point is i dont floss. not even to chicks. most chicks i date think i do real estate, which is the truth cuz that is the larger industry that my businesses fall under. i would never tell girls in the club that i own hotels/casino thats how golddiggers target yo assss. i talk alot of shiiiiit on this site i know, but its usually to prove a significant point and to inspire others if i can make it so can you. i came from shady, sh*tty, ghetto CHICAGO, been thru hell and back. sexually harassed at the work place, racism etc etc. but all that BS fueled me and made me rock even harder.

You see people that have been spoon-fed everything they whole lives and they are lacking on what's on the inside. ahahah dasaaaaaam i CC'd u too many times guess i gotta wait 48hrs to CC click you again. yeah man its a lit deeper than you mention tho cause the system like corporate america and most institutions including colleges etc are all shady and political and u got racism etc etc there too. so one really has to dig deeeeeeep in order to strive and come out on top. i totally agree with you on why i love boxing. i often use boxing as a metaphor to my employees and staff, associates, partners, etc. like you know training, conditioning, preparing, mental strength, heart, even going 12 rounds etc etc so many good metaphors when you talk about boxing. and yes so many cinderella stories and such where peeps came from dirt poor poverty and hard times to end up making millions for 36minutes and hopefully not the full 36minutes aahhaha. i can go on and on. but yeah i promised myself that i would never treat others as how i was treated(racism, sexual harassment etc) so i make sure my staff, employees, associates are given the utmost respect and that recipacates.

No it's a fact, Nike employs tons of asians in sweatshops and pays them pennies then charges westerners big bucks for shit that costs next to nothing. If anything Pac is screwing over his people. If he had anything about him he should have told the unethical Nike to shove it. Dirty money. But of course some people only care about the money....like you.
