Chaos surrounded the Beverly Hills Hotel in L.A. California as super featherweight superstars Erik Morales (48-4, 34 KOs) and Manny Pacquiao (42-3-2, 33 KOs) met in advance of their third fight on November 18 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Both fighters wasted no time as they arrived around the same time with both looking very fit.

Morales, who looked particularly slim and fit, arrived with his new Velocity training team which included four trainers and a world rennown nutrionist. "I call you to give me an opportunity," said El Terrible. "Today I will tell you to believe in me. Since I was 23 years old, this is the first time that I am going to be training in great shape."

"When I'm not in front of them, they are saying that they're going to knock me out and that they are going to retire me. I will say to them in their face that the only thing I need to worry about is to come in great condition and make weight. Then we will celebrate on November 18!"

Pacquiao who was bombarded with questions about retirement, a rematch with Barrera, and managerial issues, was calm and relaxed as he approached the podium.

"I have nothing to say about Morales," said the Pacman. "I know he's in great shape right now. I know he will make weight on November 18th and I know he will be in 100 percent condition. It's going to be a great fight! I will try my best to give you guys a good fight and bring a victory to my country!"

Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach commented, "This will be a big fight for everyone. I know Morales wants revenge and Manny has his whole country behind him. We are going to work really hard for this fight."

In regard to 'The Grand Finale,' promoter Bob Arum stated "Tickets to date have been absolutely phenomenal! This fight is headed for sellout and we expect there will be 16,000 people!"

Tickets priced at $50, $100, $200, $300 and $500 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The pay-per view telecast has a suggested retail price of $49.95 and will be distributed by HBO Pay-Per-View.

I really want Morales to pull this one off, but at the same time I crave a second bout with Pac and Barrera.

This is going to require something quite special from Morales, but he is looking far less rotund than recent pictures have shown, perhaps he can overcome his conditioning flaws and give us another great showing....perhaps....

If your talking about "conditioning" your dead wrong. Morales' problems never had a rooted in that. HBO thinks so, since they always talk about that and talked about during all his recent fights. When it comes to HBO and Morales.... they can suck my ballzz!!!! heh HBO has been wrong in just about every aspect with Morales... almost every aspect. And when they review a future Hall of Famer with such ignorance, that pisses me off... but even worse, what does that say about HBO? The leader in boxing showcases.

Morales will BE AS GOOD AS HE CAN BE, I'll tell you that straight up. I just don't know if the "fight odometer" has one last classic in store for Pacquiao. I sense so, but sense has nothing to do with it.

Currently no fighter, including Corrales, has taken on grueling champions and has been though 12 long rounds with A+ world class fighters consecutively, repeatedly, and consistently. Nobody on PLANET EARTH! Just go by boxrec and check it out. I'll be the first and ONLY to say this. heheh No disrespect to fighters like Pacquiao, Corrales, and Castillo, because those men take on the best and put Mayweather's current resume to shame.

But conditioning isn't the root of it. Morales will be in his best shape, make no mistake.

Go ahead, go to boxrec and see for yourself, compare Morales with all the other bad*sses of the sport. He, Morales, was just unlucky and took on some mean sunsofbiatchez who just never wanted to go down! THEN be honest with yourself and tell yourself, how in the hell can you be in %100 shape all the time when all your doing is getting hit everywhere, time after time, in battles with the best..... how can you keep fighting at 100 percent! The answer is it isn't possible!
Then you go on HBO and they comlpain about your weight!

Erik El Terrible Morales has possibly the best record of any current,active boxer,look at his resume,he does not get the credit he deserves and look,he lost to Pacman,was stopped but what a warrior,he wants a rematch straight away,I don't remember MAB saying he wanted Pac again,that was 3 years ago.. I believe in him and if he comes in 100%,I KNOW he can beat Pac,I'm sorry but overall,he is by far the better boxer. As a matter of fact, had Erik Morales NEVER existed, Manny Pacquiao would have been my FAVORITE!!! But the little Phillipine just TKO'd my favorite fighter and talked trash afterwards.
That ain't sittin well with me. 8)

Just to clarify, Morales DOES have a weight problem, BUT his real problem is his unforgiving schedule. He just needs to rest! For a couple of years he's been putting his body through the wringer!

Now he rested a couple of months (I hope that was enough) AND he's fixing his eating habits for this training camp.

As mentioned in other posts, i would love Morales to win this one. But on the other hand i would also like Barrera to have another go at Pacman, to right the wrongs of the last affair.

Does anyone think Pac would fight Barrera even if he lost to Morales ?

Making the weight wasnt what I was getting at but I feel that was a difficulty last time out. I feel with this team and the way he is looking now he is bang on target with that. I just worry that the last Pac fight would have had a lasting effect on Erik mentally. He is a proud man and to have been stopped like that must have been tough. And like you say, Erik has been in a lot of tough bouts and here he is marching straight into another one. You dont get much tougher than this.

I like to believe Morales has what it takes but we really dont know how much there is left in him. Its only when Pac really tries to lay it on that we will know if Morales can still let it all hang out and come through. This is the unknown variable I was referring to.

No more doubts, Morales IS going to win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring itttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!! ;D

i think that Morales is still very much game and can beat Pacquiao just like the first fight or worse, he still has the tools to stop him, remember Manny was wobbled a couple times, even in the rematch

Morales has and always will have the size and skill advantage that's why it surpises me alot of people right him off for this fight. It wouldn't suprise me if he wins but it will definitely be near disgrace if he gets stopped again by a smaller framed fighter.

Pacquiao ain't no young buck either! He's been in some tough tussles. The thing about Pac is he's inconsistent, sometimes he shows up UNBEATABLE and the next fight he shows up looking sloppy and tired.

If Morales blazed though Pac. I can seriously see Pac Barrera come though.

People would want Morales Barrera IV, well I should say Mexicans would want part IV. haha But negotiations will probably fall apart from Morales' & Bob Arum's and Barrera & Oscar de la Hoya's hatred toward each other.
And Pac would need a "comeback fight" and Barrera a "redemption fight." People may feel Barrera may have a better chance now that Pac would be a little softened up from Morales and Barrera would be much more prepared.
Hell Pac called for the lighting now he's gotta hear the BOOOOM!!! Talking like he's taking on Mexico, he has to live up to that. haha Pac is so talented that he can actually pull it off too, but Barrera and Morales, even when they lose, if they train right, and are "young enough" they're monsters.

That's what makes Pacquiao greaaaaat, he beat a great, bigger, and longer-armed boxer, a sure hall of famer, who has all the advantage working for him - it seems almost unfair to me that a bigger guy should be picking on a small guy, but a heck with that, the small boy won anyway. The age? c'mon guys they're only 2 years different and besides, I bet defense-hungry Pac has gobbled up as many power shots as Erik has. That's why he's fast becoming number 1 in many P4P lists. But don't get me wrong, if there is anyone who can beat Pac, it's the great Terrible himself, noone else, IMO. So if Pac beats Erik, I think he will be unbeatable for quite a while. But I'll reserve my judgement on Valero coz I haven't seen his fights yet.

I just hope he really is 100% fit. His conditioning was poor for the Raheem fight,he looked lazy and sluggish in my opinion. That was however,an excellent point someone raised,Erik has shaken Manny on a NUMBER of occasions,I just hope he knocks him on his ass this time! All I know for a fact is that their previous two fights are two fight of the year contenders(and personal all time great fights for me!) and I expect this to be no different,2 awesome fighters,doing it 1 more time!

i AGREE pACFAN,IF Manny wins this,he will be unbeaten for a long time. I just don't see how MAB will do it,Guzman is super skilled but can he fight at the pace Pac sets,and if he stays on the ropes against Pac,and tries to roll those short,fast,furious punches,he WILL get KTFO and at this time,Valero is too raw. well i can tell u right now what ill be wearing: a pimp maroon 5 style sport coat with a ALI t shirt under it. my dior shades and my GUCCI cap hahaha. ill visit Mr. Pacquiao and Mr. Roach at WILD CARD gym in october and take alot of pics for you and you can digitally edit yourself in beteen them. ill be sitting ringside in the corner row 7 i believe its pacquiao's corner? but then again theres a 50/50 chance is EM's corner ahahhaa.
