Re: Tyson sparring video..quite sad really
I'm sure though that he's getting good money for it though. Certainly nothing compared to his boxing days, but far better than the average man nonetheless (and for doing next to nothing).
Re: Tyson sparring video..quite sad really
Yup, still probably packing a bit of power, but he doesn't have the speed or ferocity that he had in his younger days....but as he won't get too far on the dinner party circuit, then I suppose he's got to pay the bills somehow :p
Re: Tyson sparring video..quite sad really
Man You look at athletes like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Oscar Delahoya etc..Who have a good head on there shoulders and are able to make good business desicions and utilize good fianacial advice so they can live quite comfortably and have a good fortune to lean on....
Imagine if Iron Mike Utilized the same principle as thes other athletes and kept a strong support team around him he would be one of the wealthiest people now.... All the money he had made over the years and wasted over the years is astounding...
I would have to venture a guess that Mike Tyson is probably one of the highest if not the highest earning Prizefighter ever!!!!!!
Re: Tyson sparring video..quite sad really
He looks real slow and methodical. Havent seen him without a shirt in a long time but does he look bloated? I have a feeling this will turn out worse than the McBride embaressment
Re: Tyson sparring video..quite sad really
That was sad. Not cuz of the sparring, but cuz he's forced to do something he don't want.
Re: Tyson sparring video..quite sad really
yes indeed it is sad, but im sure he's making more doing that slide show freak show than the average saddo poster makes in a year. imma keep it REAL by saying i'll probably stop by ALADDIN casino when im over there for the GRAND FINALE weekend just to take a pic and get an autograph of the once legendary IRON MIKE.
Re: Tyson sparring video..quite sad really
I feel bad for mike...it's what's happened his whole life people want to exploit him. For some reason I'm reminded of a tiger in a zoo.
Still he's getting a boat load of $ for it and hope he knows that some of those people who come out kind of look up to him and dont see him as a spectacle. If I lived around there I'd have my ass out there snapping pics and trying to get his autograph too.
Re: Tyson sparring video..quite sad really
Aww come on folks don't feel too bad for him. I'd take his lifestlye over mine and any of yours EVERY day of the week! :P
Re: Tyson sparring video..quite sad really
Yeah I mean Im sure he still has a pretty high standard of living, but I feel bad he's always so down on himself. He doesnt even rate himself one of the top 10 best hw's ever. He knows he made a lot of mistakes in the past but unlike most people all of them were caught on camera and the media was vicious on everything he did. Gotta be tough for him to come out there with his tail between his legs and feel like he's being treated like a spectacle. I mean..he's gotta make money and he's Iron freakin Mike Tyson...he's not going to work at a McDonalds.

Yeah but it's hardly a disappointment in life to not consider yourself one of the top ten greatest people at whatever it is you do is it?
The thing with Tyson, and he's one of my all time favourite boxers, is that everything that happened to him was entirely his own doing. I'm not saying that he is without excuse because we all know of his hard upbringing and the fact that his transformation from man into monster was basically encouraged by those around him, but nonetheless he still is 100% responsible for what has happened in his life.
For me personally if I could fill a venue of 20 people paying a fiver each to watch me spar I would consider that an amazing success!
I know Tyson had a far greater lifestyle before but still he's got a potentially great life ahead of him and loads to be happy about.
When you consider that some insensatives on this board consider it no big deal when somebody dies a la Steve Irwin then I find it even more baffling when people lament it as a great tragedy that Tyson is probably now only earning $1,000,000 per year as opposed to $50,000,000.
There are a lot of people in this world to feel sorry for, but Mike Tyson isn't one of them ;)

Now there is a sport that I would like to see wither and die.
Either way I'm not buying anymore Tyson fights.

Seriously if I was Tyson I would go into porn. He'd make a fortune plus get to shag loads of beautiful girls and be as deviant as he possibly wanted to be.
Come on admit it, who wouldn't love to watch Tyson in a Donkey Punch porn vid?

You forgot what the IRS is taking from him.
