Things got heated during a SHOWTIME teleconference call with Diego Corrales and Joel Casamayor:
"He talks a lot of garbage about me personally and that I'm not a good person, this and that," said Casamayor. "He doesn't even know me, so on October 7th I'm going to come in and break his head.....put the mouth piece through his mouth again like we did in Mandalay Bay. He's lost every October he's ever fought, and he's going to lose another one....on October 7th I'm going to talk all this sh*t to him in the ring. If he wants to fight on the street, we can do that too."

Corrales countered, "That's what you don't want to do. I'm going to say it like this. If I'm going to say something about somebody, I'm going to say it to his face....I said he's not a good person. I don't like him. Me and Joel don't have a good relationship. Never have. But I don't talk no crap about anybody. You guys can pump this kid's head with lies and I will deflate them on October 7th."

Corrales said he's ready to go "one, two or twelve rounds" while Casamayor stated he's looking for a stoppage win to keep it out of the hands of the judges. SHOWTIME will televise the much anticipated rubber match on October 7 during a FREE weekend, meaning anyone in the U.S. with cable TV can see it, whether they subscribe to SHOWTIME or not.
Haha, I think Corrales should have taken on another fighter but this is looking good, plus I get to see it for free!!! People just aren't talking about this fight, and it is VERY competitive. Casamayor still plunches very hard and should still have his legs, despite his age, if anything Casa has veteran skills. I think Diego should have had a "hurrah lap run" then go on a Big or Superfight matchup. OR at least had his Superfight NOW. heheh Instead of fighting Casa, who's on a downhill known status.

Corrales is very talkative about what he's going to do to someone when he's not fighting Castillo ;)

I like this fight, and the fact that it's happening... People are seeming to think Casamayor is the one who is sliding or past it.. I think Corrales may very well be seriously damaged goods.. He is coming off a gruesome brutal war, then a few months later a brutal KO loss, and hasn't fought in a year since then. Total pick em, I give Casamayor a slight edge, I think he performed better overall in their 2 fights so far and he knows how to get to Corrales.

See! I'm not the only one who thinks this is a dangerous fight for Corrales!

Of course he could lose, and to be honest, I don't think either of them will be the future of the division.. I would pick Juan Diaz over either one, I think Guzman or Barrios would have a great shot moving up as well.

Diego isn't the future, which is why he should be cashing in on
Mo Money Mo Money MO MONEY!!!!! (Instead of a Casa fight no one is talking about.)

This is quite an exciting fight . Does anyone know if Sky are showing it ?
Its the decider and weve seen they both have the power to drop the other so im expecting fireworks again , unless Chico chooses to box like he did last time. I hope not and he goes in all guns blazing cuz he is the bigger hitter and can shut Casamayor up

COOL CLICK,nice read. I cannot wait for this fight,it wil be very close,both fighters could be shot,or,in my opinion,neither is shot. I think Corrales will win though,that rest must have done him good.
Out of interest,who do you think won Casamayor Castillo and Joel and Freitas? I had Casamayor losing to JLC by 1 and am watching the Freitas fight now,Joel sure does get into close fights!

Yes he's really a very fundamentally sound boxer, just doesn't have any amazing physical gifts.. He can be quite a dirty fighter too, often fighters are reluctant to bull inside because of this imo.. I think the Castillo fight could have gone absolutely either way, it's a perfect example of such a fight, totally depends what you prefer. I thought Casamayor beat both of those two, but I can see a case for Castillo getting the decision. Not Freitas though, thought that one was bunk. Kid Diamond also definetly lost to him.

I would if it was Lacy, Mayweather, Holyfield, Toney, Tyson ....I am a Coralles fan but not enough to up the anty and mess with a sig bet I would rank Coralles as maybe in the top 5 of my favorites ;)
