He is lone man standing. Having knocked out Barrera and Pacquiao, there are no other boxers in the horizon who can beat this Filipino sensation. What do you think? In his next fight, he will send Eric to retirement house. ;D

I think Mayweather would beat him..... ??? He is probably a solid 3rd or 4th for sure... But there is no way on earth he is pound for pound better than Floyd or Winky, imo.
pac is the true p4p king
floyd ain't fought nobody top p4p
heres the facts;
pac against top p4p
2-1-1
knock out both em and mab
draw but should of won against jmm
lost once to em...lots of behind the scene bs though...
maywhether has fought nobody top p4p...costillo and corrales wasn't on the top p4p list when he beat them...
winky has fought only jermain taylor...and had a draw with him...
mosley and trinidad wasn't top p4p when he beat them...
list should be;
p4p king #1 pac
#2winky
#3floyd
If all you had to do was read Boxrec to understand how the ratings work, maybe your right.. But some people like to base a bit of it on what they see when actually watching them fight.Quote:

yes
maybe
i think so
hope so
Ok, Pac's opponents in the last few years have been better then Floyds, considerably. but he has also lost one and drew in these fights.. He only actually has two great wins.. And there has certainly been better opponents at his weight.. But that's not even the issue.. p4p who is the best, boils down to who would win if they were equal in size with nothing negated.. And that's Floyd all day, if you disagree, learn your boxing.Quote:

notes; floyd got beat for the first 6 rounds by zab untill zab ran out of gas then floyd look good...floyd is a quick opportunist watch the corrales and gatti fight...and floyd did have problems with quick powerfull southpaws zab judah and no one out there a better quick powerfull southpaw then pacman not to mention pac wont ran out of gas like zab did...
He knocked himself out ?! That was a stupid idea on his part . He cuda got Torrencampo to do that for him ;DQuote:

I like him over winky, but under floyd
1. PBF
2. Pacman
3. Wright
PBF is gonna reaffirm his #1 spot when he beats baldomir in impressive fashion, but pac is going to have a tough time with morales. I still choose pac to win, but it's going to be close.
They were good wins, I can't get too excited over him considering the wear and tear on MAB and Morales though...
mab had no wear and tear(maybe outside problems),EM is not as faded as most say ALThOUGH he is not at his best(but Manny stopped him >:mad).(hopefully will be fitter for the next fight) Manny was also dominant at 122 beating some very very tough fighters. Facts are facts,Larios,EM times 3,MAB,JMM and the tough Velazquez in his last fights(with a record so far of 3 wins,1 draw and 1 loss) ,beat the champ at 122(name slips me at the moment) is VERY VERY impressive. Jermain Taylor is alos close along with Winky and Floyd but I can't give it to Floyd, compare the resumes,do the math.Quote:

You have to go by a little more than just resumes, man.. He didn't exactly look unstoppable in the rematch with MOrales either, he was getting caught with all kinds of punches before Morales got tired. And if you are going to mention Velasquez then I may as well say Floyd beat Brusseles as an arguement for him. Pac's fought 3 great fighters in his career, and he's 1,1, and 1.Quote:

I know, you are right,it's not just about resumes but that is one of the most important factors. It's no shame losing to the great Erik Morales,a fooking legend and it shows even better on Pac to lose like he did(I'm sorry Pacfans,EM beat his ass first time around)and to bounce back.

I agree besides pac man has been stopped and ko'd by nobody's 8)Quote:

Pac Man is in no way the best P4P in the world. He's top 5, like number 5, barely. Bernard Hopkins shoul be ranked #1 no doubt about it right now. But he's pissed a lot of folks off, so Ring are bein bitches and putting him at #5, below Taylor which is nonsense. Bernard beating Antonio Tarver, dominating and knocking him down no less is better than PBF beating Judah who was coming off a loss, and beating him by a close decision.
pound for poundQuote:

on the p4p list... if they got excited and were impressed,
whether thats a win or lose, they will put you on the rankings for sure
its about dominating a division
then going up in weight to face quality opposition
then KOing not just the 'qualifieds' but the elites
thats what made pac no.1
(at 122 he's unbeatable, then steam rolled up to 130. hes
more than willing to fight the best c0nsidering his size..
he may have loss to morales but that fight just made him
the real star then he avenge the loss astoundingly - i hope you
get the idea of many folks on why they rate pac as p4p...)
i heard bhop will fight as a heavyweight
if nard dominates the div
like pac did to super feath
then i'll try to argue with you dude
that's not a fact, actually. corrales was top 5 p4p and favored to win when mayweather beat him. it's also irrelevant. castillo became more appreciated (not because he got any better) afterward, just like floyd.Quote:

Let's not forget, its also about how you win. Being a recreational boxer myself, the type of gloves you use.......DO MATTER. So i believe Pacquiao would hav knocked down Morales their first match, and that cut on Pac was from a headbut which gave the impression that morales was hurting Pac more than he did. Pacquiao's lionheart stamina, and fierce punching power is unmatched by Anybody in the lower weight classes. Due to faulty scoring he also deserved the win against JMM rather than a draw. It actually seems that JMM is scared to fight Pac again but we can only speculate. But the thing that seperates him from Mayweather is that Pac gets hit way too often. Personally i rank him a very close 2nd after Mayweather . Also on wrinky wright, he doesn't really hurt anybody. He has superb technical prowess but to be P4P, your opponents must suffer. Eeking out wins on points on every big fight isn't going to cut it. Its about How YOU Win.
you already did by replying.Quote:

Just asking.
He's the number 1 P4P right now, but he wasn't over two years ago when you made this thread.
I love how a person with 20-some posts felt the need to come back to come back here almost three years since his last post just to bump this thread. That my friends is douchebagery on an epic scale.
But the fact that Pac is generally considered to be the P4P number one today does not change the fact that he was not considered to hold that position when you originally posted this. The primary reason he climbed to the #1 spot on most lists was because Mayweather retired.
