The only good news I grabbed from that was a possible return by Spad. That I would love to see...but that sentence he served has probably changed him...& not for the better.
I just hope that he stays away from the street life & trouble. Spad was a great fighter.
McPherson said the card would also include former lightweight titlist Paul Spadafora (38-0-1, 15 KOs) in a 10-round junior welterweight bout. Spadafora, of Pittsburgh, was recently paroled after spending seven months in prison followed by a stint in a halfway house for the non-fatal shooting of his then-fiancee in 2003.
However, Spadafora promoter Mike Acri told ESPN.com that Spadafora's appearance was not a done deal.
"It's premature that the fight is going to happen with Spadafora, due to the fact that we had been expecting to fight in November instead of October," Acri said, adding that Spadafora would not attend the news conference even though he was listed on the announcement release.
Acri said he wasn't sure if Spadafora, who hasn't fought since July 2004, could be ready in time. Acri said Spadafora has only sparred three times since being released from the halfway house.

I have always liked Tyson and feel he's gotten somewhat of a bad rap, but to say I despise fighting and then still have to do it. Just sucks.
Honestly I think a Mike Tyson - Don King fight would break any and all PPV records as well as attendance records where ever and whenever it was held!

I would like to see Mike in a good old street fight. Maybe against Kimbo slice, Mike would be devastating in a street fight, he might kill a couple of people. He would make a shit load of money.

That's how it should be for Tyson.
Tyson didnt have the people around him like SRL had. The people Tyson trusted were vultures and just took advantage of him without any regard to him as a person. It is so much more important in boxing than other sports to surround yourself with people that can and will look after you. At least with most other sports there is some type of union that helps the athletes out.
