So Harrison's comeback is against Cook...

So, Harrison is taking on Nicky Cook to show that he's overcome the whole alcohol abuse and dpression thing. I think it's a good thing for him that he isn't going straight in against Juan Manuel Marquez, because he might be a bit rusty, what with nearly a year out without a fight. We'll at least get to see if Harrison can still do the business, and if he can't and loses the belts...well at least they stay in Britain. Should be a good undercard too...rumour has it that Skelton will fight Audley Harrison, and I'm looking forward to see Matt Marsh too.

I think Cook will come in with a fair chance of the upset, though Harrison will be a big step up in class for him. He's undefeated in 26, and has gathered in European and Commonwealth straps so far, and unless Harrison is on his game, he could get caught out. I also have my doubts about how able to make the weight Harrison is at the moment. I do fancy it could go a bit, and putting money on Cook, especially if you get good odds, would not be a hopeless bet.

In my view, the governing body gave him an extension on that injury (how exactly is alcoholism and injury?) layoff that he had, and until he loses the belt, or get stripped, then he's a champion. To quote my mentor...Gandalf the Grey..."many who deserve life die and many who deserve death are given life, do not be too eager to strip a title from a fallen boxer". Aside from that concern, the fight should be good and Scott IMO has the tools to beat Cook the question is can he bring them together under thesee circimstances? Guess we'll find out....

Harrison's already fought under the influece of alcohol....that's what gave him his court date.....and I doubt Nicky Cook will have four cops at ringside to drag Harrison off him. :p. Ive got a friend who beats me at pool pretty easily when sober but when he drinks it aint even a contest, he seems to get better when hes drinking. ;D

well there was that incident with betablockers some years back. So if you're affected by stress then it could help.

Warren....you must have a much higher alcohol tolerance than I do, cause I always hit my peak at around 1 1/2 pints, and after 3 I'm just starting to go downhill and shots are going awry. And after 7 my grip on the cue is becoming slightly loose.

Warren....you must have a much higher alcohol tolerance than I do, cause I always hit my peak at around 1 1/2 pints, and after 3 I'm just starting to go downhill and shots are going awry. And after 7 my grip on the cue is becoming slightly loose.
