Kessler Beyer is just over a week away...
And Royal is no where in site... if Kessler wins he will be though. I really want Calzaghe to fight the winnger.

Good!!!! I look forward to it a little International flavor here in the US.
Re: Kessler Beyer is just over a week away...
Hopefully Eurosport will get it here in the UK.
I know a bit about Kessler and not all that much about Beyer. Seen a few of Kess' Early fights and him sparring recently... I know it was just light sparring but skill wise I wasn't too impressed.
Solid fighter, it would be bad of me to call him 1d... but he's hardly 3D in terms of skill... a 2D fighter then. ;)
Re: Kessler Beyer is just over a week away...
I see Kessler dominating Beyer. Which would hopefully set up Kessler-Calzaghe

Would that be the Soliman sparring ahead of the Mundine fight? If so, you're right. He didn't look good in that clip.
- Good reasons for that though. Kessler's preps ahead of the Mundine fight were completely shot to pieces by his back-injury (that also postponed the fight).
Re: Kessler Beyer is just over a week away...
Kessler's too good for Beyer...honestly I don't want to see him lose cause I like him a little, not a huge fan but I like him, and he's a much more entertaining fighter than Beyer but its one of those fights where I could deal with a loss just cause I could chuckle at Royal's
depression ;D

HBO has bought the rights to this bout but they havent made an official announcement or for that matter any type of announcement that they will televise the bout.
But I mean if thet acquired the rights to it why wouldnt they televise it?
I don't see it announced on the HBO site anywhere ???
A bit confussing if one may add....
Re: Kessler Beyer is just over a week away...
If Beyer wins then technically he can ban Royal ;D

I think perhaps HBO is just using Kessler-Beyer as a kind of "buffer" depending on the duration of Calzaghe-Bika. Meaning if Calzaghe doesn't hurry up and finish his job fast, there'll be very little shown from the Kessler-Beyer fight. That could be the reason they aren't building it up..
Considering Kessler-Beyer is a unification fight it ought to be the other way around if you ask me.
Re: Kessler Beyer is just over a week away...
More importantly than all your HBO debates (at least to me)....is this one going to be televised in Britain? Hopefully it won't be on at the same time as Calzaghe's bout, but does anyone know if it is on at all?
Cc to the first person to tell me where it can be seen ;)
Re: Kessler Beyer is just over a week away...
What's odd is that HBO has been trying to sign Kess...or atleast that is what I had heard...& now all of a sudden...they signed Calzaghe.
Why second shelf one of the up & coming stars of 168lbs for the star of 168 that says he only has 2-3 more fights left?
Doesn't make much sense to me.

Again...that's just my opinion...may make sense to others...but that don't set right with ole' Wacko. ;D
Re: Kessler Beyer is just over a week away...
S'pose It depends Wack...
Who else is signed to HBO between 168 and 175?
P.s, just so i know... Between the two (Kessler & Beyer) Is Kessler the better fighter?
Cheers ;)

Don't know, but seriously doubt it will be shown in the UK. Haven't heard of much UK interest in the fight, where all eyes will be on Calzaghe, and where Kessler is far from being the prefered future opponent for Calzaghe (as far as i'm able to tell).
If ARD has got the rights to broadcast it in Germany/mainland europe, i doubt very much Eurosport or other european networks will pick it up.
From what i know Eurosport have never shown any of Kessler's fights so far.
And simply not enough interest for purely british networks to bother.

Agreed, Kessler-Beyer is way more important and should be a much better fight than this joke Calzaghe-What's-his-name fight. Hopefully Joe does what he's supposed to do and finishes it within 5 or so.

Im not to sure about that, firstly Bika was looking good in the Beyer fight last time out before the cut ended the fight, also Beyer is like watching paint dry at the best of times, what i seen of this Bika he comes to fight,i know which one ill be tuning into if i had the choice of both, Cazlaghe is on another level to all three.
