Winky Wright: "I'm The Uncrowned Champion"
I think Winky is the uncrowned champion. I also belive that he is the best pound 4 pound boxer in the world today. now this fight with bazooka would have been a lot better had it taken place a few years back. They both have very similar styles but I just don't think that Ike can compete at the level in which he once did. Since his come back I have not been impressed by Quartey and even though I belive he beat Forrest he was far from the Quartey who gave Oscar hell nearly seven years ago. If you ask me I think that Winky should win this one pretty easy.
I don't think Ike Quartey was ever quite as good as Winky ... Sure he had a better jab, but his chin nor his defense were ever as solid as WInky's also his timing wasn't as good... I think WInky wins this fight.
Quartey will beat Wright.
i dont think Ike has any chance at all
Winky is p4p #1. Period
You have reasoning to back that or Fanboyism?Quote:

and waste energy by throwing strong combinations back. By the 12th Jermain was spent.
that was the best middle weight fight i had seen in a long time. the fight will probably get him the largest payday right now.
Wright is fuckin made for Quartey. He's bigger than Ike but he's not that much stronger. In fact I wouldn't consider him the stronger hitter. It's going to come down to a jabbing contest and Wright jab, while good is not better than Quartey's. Quartey on points. And I'll take any bet on it.
If Winky can deal with Taylors jab, size and strength than what is a smaller man like Quartey going to do? he might have the better jab... but Winky has been over matched before and won on his superior defence.
Which is exactly why he will beat Quartey.
Before Taylor I would have love to see Winky vs B-Hop and then Taylor.
Now I will like to see Winky - Oscar but Oscar is a smart guy he sign him in to not fight him.
Winky needed to take the rematch with Taylor to put any doubts to rest, I had him winning the fight but niether guy really did a lot to win. I also wanted Hopkins to fight Wright 1st before Taylor I think that would have been a great match up. After Quartey I hope Wright tries to make the Taylor rematch or moves up to Calzaghe
Thats right . Barrera and Juarez rematched and we gota conclusive winner next time . Winky shuda done the sameQuote:

(((*For English please press one....GAME)))
(((*For Spanish please press two....El Gamo)))
*1) Game,
I think that was truely a grueling fight for the disciplined Winky, even though I had him winning.
He wants none of that anymore and he hated the decision, he's a boxer so he doesn't know it was close, heheh.
*2) El Gamo,
I think Jermain has a warrior's attitude and a student's determination outside of the ring. But
inside the ring, he has yet to prove he can use skills and defense, rather than depend on athleticism.
Hahaha,I like that Gyro,CC and true,he depends on his athelticism too much but remember,he is not the finished article and once he starts learning more etc,he will be a force in my opinion and whether we think he has won his fights with B Hop and WInky or not,he has been competetive in them all and all have been close.
I hope you're right, my... friend?Quote:

now jermains gonna have some serious skills :o
Jermaine will always only train with Manny 6 weeks. Same with Wlad Klitschko. Manny says they come in shape and that 6 weeks is more than enough. Taylor does not train at the Kronk(it is closed for the moment) year round. He comes in for gameplanning and fine tuning. Same with Wlad. But I agree, Taylor will improve on the first time ( I had it a draw). Manny also said that anytime he trained Tommy Hearsn more than 6 weeks , he lost . Six weeks is just right.
I'm going to quote you on that in the future, because I think your telling the truth. :) ccQuote:

Manny is such a good guy though, 6 weeks with him must be an experience.
Quote away. What I was relaying is from the interview I did with him regarding the Kronk for Doghouse.. Manny loves talking Boxing and spoke on a variety of subjects when we spoke.
The Hearns thing might be a sales pitch. I agree with that possibility.
What he does in that six weeks is enough or at least it sounded that way when he explained it. It sounds pretty intense. The comraderie and competetion level among his fighters is fierce.
Oh, how I want VD to be correct.Quote:

Don't trip, homie. I will be right. Like Quartey, Wright is not a natural Middleweight. And Quartey does not fight scared like Jermain Taylor does. Quartey wins this fightQuote:
