frank bruno vs mike tyson 1st fight how bad did bruno stun tyson

ive seen it and it looked like bruno hurt him quite bad what do u guys think ??

this is what i just uploaded bruno vs tyson 1st fight 1st round good action and plus tyson gets stunned watch this round and tell me what u think

It was a good hook that Bruno stunned him with, but credit to Tyson, he didn't let it faze him & he kept coming.

I think he was more hurt by Bonclutcher Smith in the dying seconds of their clutchathon in 1987. :cwm14: :clap: :bomb: :boxing2:

This was when Tyson was Legit....He had a decent chin and the come and attack at all cost attitude......The later Tyson who never trained and tried to get everyone out with one shot may have folded.....Other than admitting Lewis hurt him from the start The only guy I actually remember Tyson saying that his punches really hurt was Ruddock after the first fight he compared his shots to mule kicks...Then again it was a prime Razor who had potential

He caught him with a good shot. That's about it. Tyson took it and when about his task of kicking Bruno's ass

that was a good hook. but wasnt enough to stop tyson

it was hard too see it cause steeles fat head was in the way,but ive got that fight on dvd and bruno did conect but couldnt capitaize on it all he did that whole fight was hold and hit,he was very intimidated!!

sorry i did see it i was thinking the punch were tyson turns into the ropes!but it was a good hook!but that was about it for bruno

HE...He hits like a f*cking mule kick!!!! Classic....:) Tyson was a stud....

For us Brits at the time, it was huge! 'He's rocked tyson, go on Frank', screamed Harry!
But that was as good as it gets! Frank got bucket loads of sympathy to cover his lack of talent.

Tyson wasnt legit then, he'd already stopped jabbing

yea he was i didnt see him jab much against tony tucker either in 1987 and that was when he was in his *prime* bruno hurt him bad if he had that real killer instinct like tyson he could of caused real trouble for him when he staggered him but oh well but that first round was loads of action in that 1 st round good round of heavyweight action

Bruno was the real deal with power but i think Brit kid has it spot on about him...

he said his chin was good but didnt know how to cover up when hurt and just get rocked to fuck and KO'd

I can't argue with you about that.

Smith was appalling that night.

He showed he had the power, with the ONE decent punch he landed.

He should have tried harder.

man, the only thing i saw in that round was how bad Frank bruno needed a point taken away for holding behind the head, and punching. AT LEAST 1 Point.... that was rediculous.

BLODDY HELL how many times did Frank hit and hold at the beginning of that fight!

u could say this fight showed mike was more than just a puncher.
he could take a big punch, and then come back and punch some more, and as in this case, go on to flatten the other guy.

apart from stunning tyson in round 1 momentarily it was all one way traffic. tyson was slightly stunned but continued fighting back.i remember tucker stunning tyson with an uppercut too in 87.

watching that fight with the sound off I don't see Tyson get stunned.

But Tyson didn't look like he used to to me, I've seen his old fights but right there he looks one dimensional just winging hooks and big shots looking for the KO and Tyson in his quote unquote prime. Would set traps, was defensively sound, would set you up for combinations and not just one big shot winging away like he is against Bruno.

It's not surprising that there was such a hoopla about that punch.

Circa 1989, Tyson was considered to be unbeatable & invincible.

He was being talked of as the greatest HW ever.

He would have been odds on favourite against the whole United States Army simultaneously had they arranged the contest, so it's no surprise that Bruno got a lot of mileage out of it.

There was a lot of turmoil in Tyson's life before the Bruno fight. It was originally scheduled for England but he had marriage problems, suicide attempts, street fights ect. Tyson looked poor for the first time as a champion in the fight and were the signs that his lifestyle was going to cost him his greatness, legacy, fame and fortune.
