I don't hate any of them. Today I have nothing but love to offer.
Not that I particularly hate him as per the survey, but as per the title of the thread, I think he's the most disliked in recent months.
him being Toney. If you took this poll a couple months ago, he'd have overwhelmed the 'most hated' list. Now he's out of the limelight ...
Poor Ruiz. He does get his share, too. And to think early on, when he was just coming up, I was rooting for him - the quiet man, first latino HW champ-to-be ... ended up not being so exciting. What are his stats in the ring, now ... something like he spends 11% of the time setting up for a clench, 30% of the time actually in the clench, and 9% of the time very slowly disengaging when the ref orders a break. Of the 50% left ... well, in the end, there's precious little time left for boxing.
I think its gotta be Ruiz by a country mile
i picked floyd as most hated (but i dont hate him)
John Ruiz seems to be the butt of a lot of jokes on the bored, and is always referred to as a really boring fighter. I think a lot of people also dislike Calvin Brock, though if he wins a belt for America, then that will redeem him in many people's eyes. Personally I don't like James Toney, but more people hate on Ruiz, so that's who I think gets the nod.
Most posters know that Kessler is top 5 P4P but still must guys is still thinking that Lacy is okay....even he was KOed with one shot by Evans....

i know john ruiz hasnt done that much good.... but i dont know if he has done anything bad for fans to hate him... every boxer has their own style... and john ruiz became succesful with his own style... if he didnt fought the way he usually is then we may not be even talking of him right now

I picked Ruiz...not so much because of his boring style...Fact is thats what works for him and he has multi world HW titles to prove it... So who am I to say it doesn't work....I do have a problem with a guy who complains like a baby about his losses no excuses just complaints...The fact he sues over his losses makes me sick.....I will say one thing IMO he won the Valuev fight...
Next would be Floyd...Is he good yes IMO #2 P4P in the world (Sorry but Winke Wright is my #1) I don't like how he shows no respect to past champions as Ali and Robinson....His resume is one Ray complied in 6 months when it comes to quality of opp....Check boxrec don't take my word on it..( 6 months may be exagerating but you get the idea).....

Judah - I have heard a few people mention that they hate him.
Toney - Same with him.
Mayweather - I see both haters and lovers, but I think for the most part people just want to see him show off what he really has instead of padding his record.
Ruiz - Wow do people ever hate this guy. I am not a big fan either, but here is a guy that will step in the ring with anyone. (Probably because he has to, because people hate him so much.)
Lennox, ODLH, RJJ, Hatton are in the same boat as Mayweather... Alot of people hate and love these guys.
You got to put Chris Byrd in here as well, who ever got excited about Chris Byrd fighting on a card? He is like Ruiz in the excitement department. Ruiz holds on to avoid confrontation.,. and Byrd runs to avoid Confrontation. ;D
I forgot to add Tarver. From what I have seen the second most hated boxer.
I guess that Toney made himself unpopular with his racist comments about white HWs.
The difference might be that nobody cares if Chris Byrd is dead or alive and most people want to see Ruiz beaten to death.Quote:

For mine it would be Tarver. When is he ever going to fight someone who is in their prime? Delahoya fans hate PBF and Trinidad.
RJJ fans hate Tarver.
PBF fans hate Cotto, Margarito, Delahoya, Mosely and Hatton.
Trinidad fans hate Delahoya.
Most Americans hate Hatton and Lennox.
Most people from the UK hate PBF.
Cotto fans hate PBF.
Margarito fans hate PBF
Hatton fans hate PBF.
Tyson fans hate Lennox and Holyfield.
Bowe fans hate Lennox.
Lennox fans hate Bowe.
Most big boxing fans would still watch most of the above on any given night.
All of the above hate Ruiz and would not watch him on any given night.

Its a long story but its basically because of all the unnecessary hype he gets over here. Everybody who doesnt know a thing about boxing thinks that Kahn is the champion of the world, where as the real story is he has a long way to go and wouldnt stand a chance at the top of his weight yet.Quote:
