Brock's chances

Not very good at all IMO

From watching some of his fights he looks pretty open for a right hand, and that's not a good thing against Wlad.

If he was gonna win he'd have to jab his way in, throw a right hand from the outside on the way in, and then work on the inside. But its not even like he's a real good infighter, and even so when he gets in Wlad will just tie him up.

I just see him taking too many right hands and not making past 7 or 8 rounds. Wlad's not iron chinned so he's gotta chance, but its not like he's a huge puncher, he could hurt Wlad no doubt, but I have Wlad as a big favorite, somewhat shaky chin or not.

Anybody favoring him?

Brock is going down. I hope he is being paid well.

Agreed.

I hate to not give a man any chance whatsoever...but this is the most ignorant choice that Brock could have taken right now.

I honestly wish that he had faced Tua instead...big mistake on Brock's trainers & match makers, IWO.

I just wonder how much of a gore fest this will be. Close to Byrd 2 I would guess.

Hmm can guys not remember a fighters career longer ago than two fights? Wlad is a skilled fighter but he's chinny as fuck. Brock seems to have a good chin, all he needs to do is to hang in there long enough to catch the Klit and it's bye bye Wladimr.

Of all the big fights coming up I'd say this is the one most ripe for an upset.

If you ask me who is most likely to win I'd of course agree that Wladimir is, but if Brock's odds for a knockout are good I'll definitely consider putting some money on him.

He has at least 4 times as likely of beating Wlad than Baldomir is of beating Mayweather.

Consider, Mayweather has no known weaknesses, Baldomir has no real strengths. Baldomirs one asset is his size which is likey to matter about as much as Ruiz's size advantage of Jones Jr helped him.

Wlad has the skills and the size but a very weak chin and suspect stamina. He also tends not to cope well under pressure.

Brock is a big, solid heavyweight, one of the better boxers, a sound chin and a big punch.

And yet Wacko you rate Baldy's chances but dismiss Brock's, sometimes your logic baffles me :P

9 times out of 10 Baldy would get spanked by Mayweather, Brock has at least a 30% chance of sparking Wladimir 8)

Brock doesn't have the power to KO Klitschko. He's knocked out either 21 or 22 people & none of those men that he stopped are worth putting in the same sentence as Wlad.

Wlad's a lot more skilled & he's got a much better chin than you give him credit for having.

Wlad was knocked out by only one man IWO & that was Sanders. Wlad took all of Brewster's hits & pretty much dropped from loss of energy. The very same thing that cost him the fight against Purity. Anyone who has seen those fights & can be objective knows that.

You need to brush up on your knowledge of the Klit. Heh heh heh.

Brock's level of skill & depth is pretty limited. I see this one going about like the last Byrd fight with Wlad...& Byrd is deep in comparison on the punch stats. This should be a cake walk for Wlad...unless he just takes the fight lightly.

Again...totally disagree.

Baldo has two advantages over Mayweather that Brock does not have over Wlad.

#1: Size & ability.
#2: Confidence.

I seriously doubt that Brock get's up as easily from Wlad's shots as he did from McCline's.

Stamina is...or was an issue. No weak chin.

Sanders was one of the heaviest punchers in the game & even though dropped...Wlad kept getting up.

Brock is no where near what Sanders was & I seriously doubt that Brock can push or pressure Wlad.

He's not one of the better boxers either. In the end...as much as I like Brock...& I really do...he's going to come across as a limited fighter when thrown in with Wlad.

Again...disagree here also.

The only person out there that I thought would wreck Wlad...lost to him. That man was Sam Peter. I know that if Wlad can handle the pressure & power of Peter that he can do so against Brock. Brock hits hard & all that...but he aint a power puncher. I've been ringside for Brock & know that he can crack...but his wins seem to come through more of accumulation & wearing a man down.

He won't be able to get through Wlad's jab. He had a lot of trouble with Bostice's shots...I doubt that he'll with stand Wlad's all night.

While I don't believe it'll come in the 4th...I'll agree on the outcome with 1st RoundKO & I'll be sticking with the herd..Brock's getting blasted out.

I agree that Brock may have a better chance than Baldo, cause I wouldn't be shocked if Brock caught Wlad with something big and stopped him. I would be shocked if it happened to Floyd.

But still Brock to me is just kinda solid, what does he really do well? He's not slow, but he's not fast, he's not Chris Byrd, but he doesn't hit that hard, he's a pretty good boxer but he's not that hard to hit. He needs to rough Wlad up but he's not that great on the inside and Wlad will just hold.

It could happen, I wouldn't be that shocked but I heavily favor Wlad.

I would be completely shocked. I dont think Brock has a prayer. What game plan can he use? He's to short to keep Wlad off with his jab. He dosent have enough power to really make Wlad fear him. Stanima? I dont know. Wlad in 4.

Hey guys :coolclick: to you all especially you Wacko for breaking it down piece by piece.

My favourite part of the fight buildup is the disagreements and debates about who's going to do what to whom when they get in the ring.

I still reckon Brock has a decent chance, I'd say better than Peter and Bryd because he's more skilful than Peter and bigger than Bryd.

Plus if you are going to risk your money who would you rather invest in than a boxing banker?

Although if he loses me cash I'll be changing that B in Banker to a W! ;D

Brock vs. Tua = the end result would be the same only a few rounds later. Tua brings that power late, Tua wins 9th R KO , Brock can't hurt Tua, David would just walk his man down and eventually knock Brock into sandmanland. Tua is high risk because of his inactivity, Brock would slide far on this loss. and make less money

Wlad will beat Brock in the 3rd. .. just my opinion .

Prime Tua vs. Brock I'd definitely agree but he's seemed so far gone lately that I think Brock would outwork him and win a decision. Tua couldn't even stop Cisse Salif, and took ten rounds to KO Talmadge Griffis who, no offense, is a bad bad fighter. Tua's just way past it IMO.
