Awesome vid, CC #8
I like Kelly Pavlik, I hope he dominates 168 in the coming years. He's Big, young, has a lot of power...he may need to get a new trainer to hone his fundamentals but he looks damn good right now
I'd like to see him and Duddy fight.Quote:

I think he destroys Duddy. He looks a lot more bigger.Quote:

I'll third that, Duddy's just nothing more than average IMO.Quote:

Duddy has been fighting equal or lower quality fighters and having trouble. Pavlik, other than a few rounds, has looked pretty solid lately. Neither has gotten hit with much power, but I see Pavlik getting past Duddy's defense early and hurting him badly.
Pavlik vs Duddy. Who wants it?
I think Pavlik would win. I still want them to fight.
Don't sleep on Duddy...let me remind you that Duddy fought Leonard Pierre too and he only needed 1 round to knock him out.
Pavlik is good but I think he needs to fight Manfredo or Green.
Kelly loves Jack and vice versa, Jacks a Very good trainer and if they ever get any outside help it will be kelly and jack together...whats Neat about kelly is that he can naturaly box VERY slickly thats why they started calling him the ghost during the cleveland golden gloves cause he was very hard to hit ,when he turned pro the KO power just came naturally ...kelly can move like ali all night if he wants too ;) youll see ..he would beat the f**k out of taylor or jeff lacy or edison miranda (pantera :lickish: ),mark my words lolQuote:

I would much rather see Pavlik vs. Manfredo Jr. 8) then Pavlik vs. Duddy.
Means, I know you and Huntin are Pavlik's biggest fans on here (I think you guys workout in the gym with him?). But let's get realistic... Pavlik may one day prove what you say above (I have my doubts), but how can you make such a bold statement when the guy hasn't fought anyone that should have given him trouble? He is dangerous, and there is no way Taylor or Wright would fight. The money isn't there and there is always a risk. He is gonna have to step it up and fight an eliminator to force a mandatory. Even than it guarentees nothing, but at least of Taylor retires the belt, he will be in line to fight for it.Quote:

Cool fight clips. Of course, I think that fighting Miranda would be the best way to go to truly solidify Pavlik's name in the division, but it's a very
risky fight. I just think that it's a bit too close to call. I'd love to see the fight happen, though.
Additionally, I don't think Duddy has a chance in hell of going 5 rounds with Pavlik or Miranda. He's just another Irish-Ornament in the game of boxing.
He has skills, but he isn't a legitimate contender.
i agree ,taylor wouldnt risk it and nobody else wants to fight kelly...he really is pretty much come to terms with the fact taht hes having to wait untill a title holder is forced to defend there belt from him (but ranked where he is thats not so bad)..i would honestly like to see a fight between Miranda and him too...anyway i just like taking a hypothetical jab at you and Miranda when i can lol so no hard feelings my man :)Quote:

hey did u by any chance get to see the Zuniga- pavlik fight? it would be a good fight for miranda to watch cause i think Zuniga and Edison have similiar styles
Pantera and Zuniga are friends. They used to spar together in Colombia. From what his old manager told me, Miranda is in a whole different class. They were similar, but Miranda has gotten much better training the past year and has learned a great deal. And yes, I saw the fight. What a bloodbath! Pavlik looked good, no quesion, but I don't think Zuniga is all that good.
lol thats cool they used to spar together i thought i noticed some certain similiarties!Quote:

I forgot to thank and cool click you for this. Better late than never. This was a great vid. I enjoyed seeing Brewer get knocked the puck out, Loved the way they emphasized it.
....and your opinions on Andy Lee (Irish born prodigy of Manny Steward)Quote:

I like Pavlik because he has power in both hands, fights with composure, is not one dimensional, he can box, and is humble. His foot work is not perfect and his defense, which was his strength in the amateurs, needs to be worked on.
I agree with you that Zuniga is not the greatest fighter, but he has beat some decent fighters. The one thing is for sure he has a huge heart and can take some serious punches, just watch Kelly's fight with him.
I think Kelly has the tools to win not only the Middleweight Championship, but to step up and win titles in other divisions as well.
I also agree that the only way he gets a title fight, like Miranda did, is by a mandatory. Both he and Miranda are too dangerous for the likes of Taylor or Wright. They may have to fight each other and this is a shame because whichever would win, my money is on Kelly, will cause them even more trouble in getting a big money fight with any of the top guys.
I have a good source that tells me Taylor is going to move up for big money against Calzaghe after he beats the Jr Middleweight Ouma, thus leaving some belts available. Kelly is #2 in the WBC which would give Kelly a mandatory for the WBC belt, but his opponent is what will be interesting. Wright will stay at #1 if he beats #4 Quartey, but will not take the fight with Kelly, too risky for any future big paydays because he all of a sudden is about the money, both #3 (ouma) and #4 (quartey) will have dropped leaving #5 ranked Miranda as the opponent which I am positive he will take the fight. Of course if Quartey beats Winky he will move up and he would definitely take a title fight with Kelly, even though he backed out of a fight with Kelly last year to fight Verno Phillips.
Just my 2 cents.
