Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
floyd is full of shit. there is no way he's retiring after one more fight because he loves the $dollar$ sign too much. and fuck him, there is no way he can walk away from the welter and light welter divisions after one more fight and say that he beat all the best out there. bull shit. wanker.

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
Just goes to show how impressed Floyd is with himself. Still dont think he is that great, he hasnt had a fight since the first JLC fight that really pushed him. Talent wise he has always been on a different level compared to his opponent. Not sure if that shows how good he actually is or if it was the selection of his opponents that made him that way. He will go down as an A.T.G. but there will always be that question of how great he really was because of his competition.

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
I remember when a massive amount of people used to critisize Oscar for hand picking his opponents and then he shut them all up in one fight with Bernard Hopkins.
I wonder if Floyd will figure that one out too. The only way to define your greatness is to raise the bar, it don't matter if you don't win against the best but you at least have to share the ring with them. ;) He needs Mosley, Oscar and Hatton on his resume'. I feel that Cotto is another Fernando Vargas his chin will get damaged at 147.
-
Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
Well Oscar also fought: Trinidad, Whittaker, Mosley, Vargas, and Chavez.....he's never been accused of ducking anyone......unless you ask those gay ass Kostya Tszyu fans

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
WTF? Is PBF taking hormone pills?
I knew he had a little biatch in him but this is just insane.
He is running/ducking my dynamic dou.
I hope he does retire.
Here is the song for him!

Margarito ducks everyone and only fights people who cant box ;)
-
Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
But now he has his WBO strap and has fought one top 10 fighter he will continue to try and talk his way to a shot at the top.
Gotta love Bomb Arum... ;)

I guess i need to point out the obvious to my simple little friend lyle eh? Hand picking opponents when they are damaged goods or past their used by date is different to ducking opponents mate.
and as a Kostya fan I'd like to also p[oint out that if Kostya wasn't beat by Vince the fight against Oscar would of happened ;)

I agree Lyle, nothing like a bit of family guy whatever the time. However, can you explain to this idiot limey how it is relevant? Cheers mate. Peanut butter jelly?

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
:nopity: Poor Floyd ;D
He has made enough money and wants to stop. See, he really does want to be a legend. FOOL!!
-
Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
He's a little crazy isn't he, like he has a split personality or 3. Undoubted talent, dedication, skill and resolve, but he's cocky, arrogant, rude, greedy, disrespectful and by the looks of it, pretty emotionally unstable.

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
If he is to retire then fight Hatton as a curtain raiser....Hatton can beat him....

Maybe if Hatton chryogenically freezes himself and Floyd calls him out in 20 years.. Otherwise I couldn't honestly see it. Hatton just doesn't have the talent to beat Floyd, and at welter I wouldn't even give him one advantage.

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
"nothing more to prove"
Ricky Hatton or Cotto or Margarito...
i think PBF can beat all 3 ...but is it not more to prove ???
-
Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
Maybe he is letting out nervous energy?!? Funny bloke isnt he? Might be one of them blokes you could hit as hard as you can and not make cry, but very little things set them off crying. Bloody good boxer though, cant take that away from him. ;)
-
Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
Floyd ain't retiring simple as that! Boxing and vanity are in his blood at only 29 years old he couldn't walk away from it even if he wanted to.
-
Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
People thought Roy Jones was invincible and after his first loss he just started to look bad. I somehow think that when Floyd losses against Oscar, Mosley, Hatton, or whoever, he will start looking bad in his fights.

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
Why? Had Hatton disposed of Collazo then YES he would be in line but he had trouble and looked as though he had no power at 147.
I'd say De la Hoya and Mosley are at the top of his list because those guys are already established as greats and Floyd needs them more than he needs Hatton and Cotto
-
Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
I agree with that Lyle..
Hatton did himself no favours by failing to convincingly beat Collazo.
-
Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
Everyone says "in the heat of the moment shit" after a win.
He aint gonna retire...on the subject of Hatton...he RAN back to 140. He knows where his skill level belongs.
Kiss the Hatton fight goodbye.
If Floyd does anything...I wouldn't be shocked if he fought one time @ 154 & then retired.

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
Truth is that PBF is just setting up a fight with ODH... ODH will also say it's his last fight...
and there you go... instant hype.

Thanks mate, I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out whether it was an euphemism for something else, but thankfully, it just is peanut butter jelly. You know I'll never get the time I spent trying to figure it out back...I jjust have to write it off as wasted time, when I could have been doing something with my life. Sadly I now need an excuse for the other 23 hours and 40 minutes of that day that was spent not doing anything constructive. :P

“I am a legend and I am the best there is,” he said. “I will go out on top unlike anybody else. I fought everybody they put in front of me and I beat them all. I never ducked anybody in my life and I fought the best of the best. I am a champion in four different weight classes and I will go out on top. Oscar don't have it in him to go out on top like me.”
he has a total of 3 fights at welter, Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah, and now Carlos Baldomir
and a total of 3 fights at jr. welter, Henry Brusseles, Demarcus Corley, and Arturo Gatti
out of all those which name is an actual ELITE fighter, i don't see any Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, on there, my early prediction is that Oscar De La Hoya will be too big, too strong, too fast, too skilled and just show too much heart for the Pretty Boy to overcome, so yea let him retire after his next fight, because if it's against DLH he'll retire with a big 1 on there

hatton can't box and has missed the Floyd boat... Floyd isn't going to come back down to 147 to fight him and Floyd was already at 147 when Hatton fought a good enough fighter even call him out.
As for Margatiro? Elite?
Elite!? don't make me laugh... he is a 147 version of Hatton who has fought even less names... he can shout out as much as he wants but that doesn't mean he deserves a shot at PBF or has the skills to beat him.
I would liked to see him fight Cotto but again, Floyd isn't going to come back down to 140... Cotto might fight him at 147 because he is meant to be moving up or so I hear...

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
elterriblemorales your spot on there mate. i just wonder whether mayweather goes home and thinks about what he has just said and realises what a load of bollocks it was? or does he genually beleive the shit that he comes out with? but from what i've seen he's not exactly surronded by people that are gonna keep his feet on the ground and tell him like it is. they're much more likely to keep telling him that he's the man, and that no one can touch him and blah blah blah bullshit.

Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
Floyd could have very well just have taken on Hatton instead of Gatti at 140, why didn't he? because it would have been a tougher fight, i know this and so does everyone else, and i'm not even a Hatton fan, Mayweather has basically avoided fighting the best in the division since moving up from Lightweight
-
Re: Floyd in tears announces retirement after one more fight(pic of pbf crying)
theres no way he's retiring after one more fight . theres a good competition out there . he aint finished. he wont of really of proved anything if he has one more fight

Yea ok ::** Shows how much you know...Ricky and his camp said no to a fight TWICE....They said Hatton wasn't ready than they priced themselves out of the other...SO its not Floyd that dosent want to fight it was Hatton that said NO......

I dont know about that. Floyd's beaten everyone there is up to welterweight where he has pretty much just arrived. But look at the fact that he is coming up to the point where he is having difficulty dominating his opponents physically, more he is using his speed and amazing reflexes to run and outpoint them, which is going to get him criticized and also shows that really he probably should think twice before moving up any more weight. Is he really cut out for Jr Middle and middleweight? I doubt it...he would probably end up fuckin up his record and his legacy. Now probably is a good time for Mayweather to call it a day. He's unquestionably the best pound for pound fighter out there. I dont think DelaHoya can take him. Who and what is really left for him to prove and do in boxing? He's making the smart move here. Sure he will probably unretire someday...they all seem to. But for now, he should do what he feels he wants to do. He has earned that right. And if he hasnt fought any elite level opponents, who are those opponents exactly that you consider to be the "elite" ones?

fine with that, but then why did Floyd run around blind, deaf, and mute, when Margarito basically offered to fight him also for free
