Who do you think Floyd should fight next? For what could be the last fight of his career?
Fingers crossed for ODLH @ 147!
I'm going with Cory Spinks for the following reason's
1) I honestly don't think ODLH with fight him.
2) Spinks doesn't have much power for the 154 weight class.
3) It would be a 5th weight class for him to get a title in.
If you look in terms of what he calls "legacy" you notice it's not so much the people he's fighting,
but the fact that he's trying to get titles in as many divisions as possible.
Can ODLH make 147 now??Quote:

I agree 100% I think he is going after the 5th title, it is something no one has ever done before reaching 30 years old so it gives him a some what dubious claim to being the greatest ever :P and some great bargaining power with Oscar ;)Quote:

hatton,.... acid test was collazo. hatton wouldnt have lasted 30 seconds longer than the final bell.... he was out on his feet.
spinks,..... no power as somebody else said earlier,... and his running match away from roman k . just to survive was pitiful.
i bet pbf goes for another 5/1 fighter.
sugar shane mosley at 154 would be very intresting.......i would like to see it
happy 600th post on floyd :o :( >:mad
Is this poll like realistically who we think he will fight or who we want to see him fight?
Of course we all want to see him take on ODLH. More realistically, he will go with Spinks because he can win yet another title in another weight class with minimal effort compared to if he were gonna call out Wright, Mosley, DLH, or Margarito. Personally I want to see him go out kicking ass on a really good opponent that presents a big challenge to him. If its really his last fight, im sure deep down he wants that too.
I don't think he'd be willing to. I'm also not sure why that option's there, but there's no Shane 147 option, given that Shane has said repeatedly that he's coming back down to 147 and not sticking around for another fight at 154.Quote:

I think Shane's speed would give him the most trouble of any fighter listed there.
And that's the meal ticket if you want any chance against him.
Although the Oscar fight will bring in that fat fat paycheck, Floyd beating Shane in his last fight would answer more questions to me personally.
And then he'll come out of "retirement" for that big comeback fight against Oscar! Pretty clever marketing to sell himself after a less than fan pleasing destruction of Baldomir!
As for Hatton? Out of the question now. Floyd should've wiped him out a long time ago when the prospect of that fight was still juicy.
CC, my thoughts exactly. I think Mosely is the only real challenge from 154 on down right now. But I don't think he's got it in him any more at his age (in real and ring years)--he looked great in the second Vargas fight, but Vargas looked worse than Baldomir in that fight. In the first Vargas fight, I thought Shane looked good but by no means as good as he used to look, and I thought he looked downright mediocre in his previous fight (against Cruz, maybe?). (This will of course be the PBF haters' refrain if the fight happens and PBF wins.) Still a better fight than anything else out there though.Quote:

no fight at 154.
If Floyd fought and beat Margarito, the same people clamoring for the fight would just come on here and say "who has Margarito beat at 147?" and "Floyd should have beat Tony anyway. Who cares?"Quote:

The problem is the guys like Augustus, Mitchell, Bruseles, ....they just weren't worth shit
Tony is also pretty big....seeing Floyd dominate, humiliate, and punish him would be GREAT.....what was the last GREAT thing Floyd did?
i hate when people put brussles down when brussles lasted longer with PBF than gatti.
margarito just isn't a threat to me
....but he lasted that long because Floyd toyed with him and with Gatti he was serious
If Floyd beats Margarito the same way he beats everyone else then people are gonna say "Yeah he won but he was scared to trade and fight" ::**
Well he's got to do something flashy in there....people just think "If he's so good why can't he hurt this guy or make him look like a fool"???
Willie Pep didn't have the most power in fact he didn't have much of anything at all in the power department....he still looked REALLY good when he beat someone though
Wow, so let me get this straight, Castillo is nothing???Quote:

Corrales is arguably the best lightweight of the past four years and is a P4P puncher. Is he now garbage because Floyd murdered him?
Judah is very talented and was recently undisputed welterweight champion. Did the title just fall into Judah's lap or did he go out and beat a champion for the belts?
I mean you people say these people don't stand a chance against Floyd, well that's true. But these are still P4P fighters.
PBF should take his last fight vs. oncoming traffic. Who cares anymore?? He may be a great skilled boxer....but to me it is talent wasted on someone undeserving. I'm not hating his skill. I am hating him as a very poor person who is a loser in many peoples eyes. He doesn't care about the sport. He doesn't care about those who have made this sport great before him. he just wants to manipulate people. and yes he beat Castillo once... who is a lb4lb great.
No I said Castillo was a THREAT to Floyd....if you're going to read it read it rightQuote:

Ya know what im not surprised ya went for Spinks. Reason being he is the easiest opponent on your list, and once again another cherry picked fight for Floyd to win another title. If and it's a big If he has the balls, he should go for either Oscar or Mosely. Or even stick around at welter and take on the likes of Margarito, Cotto, Hatton all at 147. ;)Quote:

At 154 i think Oscar wipes the floor with floyd, i think he beats him at 147 too - depending how he does with the weight.
I thought mosley said after his last fight he was looking to go back down to 147? Mosley wa slooking better in his last fight, but he is alot older, and floyd beating him at 147 now would gain as much credit as he would of beating him in his prime, and rightly so...
I think in terms of legecy, mosley would be a good fight for him, and depending on the outcome of the hatton v Castillo match of it comes off, hatton would be his next best fight.
You're right I should have picked Juan Urango.Quote:

Hatton is definitely the easiest opponent on that list. Spinks is bigger and faster (not that I'd pay to see that fight either). Mosely would prove the most out of any of these fights.Quote:
