I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
The guy truly sucks. I applaud his shrewd business sense and savvy, but in terms of boxing, ODLH is garbage. He hasn't really ever beat anyone. I don't know what goes on in this guys head, does he really think he is an all-time great? He is talking about enhancing his legacy by fight Trinidad again? WTF!!! Sure beating Mayorga was cool, but I don't think anyone really cared afterwards. If he truly is talking about fighting the best for his retirement then he should only be fighting either Floyd Mayweather or Winky Wright. I'm tired of people confusing ODLH's mass fan appeal with his actual boxing prowess. I think even he is a little delusional. This guy has the nerve to say that he didn't think that the entire PBF card was worth the money. Well, I paid for the fight and while I thought the last half of the PBF-Baldy fight was uneventful, I thought the fight was worth the money. Isn't ODLH the same guy that made a fight with Yory Boy Campas a pay-per-view. He's a fucking hypocrite. Now he's saying that he doesn't want the PBF fight anymore. What the fuck is that? He's afraid of getting thrown in the garbage like Baldomir did. If he doesn't wanna to get embarrassed in his swan song, that's fine, but he shouldn't patronize the public by telling us all that he wants to fight the best. Yeah right, ODLH isn't the best, and he has proven throughout his career that when it's time to step up his game, he fails. He lost against Sugar Shane twice, he lost against Trinidad because he ran like a baby (he even said he regrets it), he got put out by B-Hop, he got a gift decision against Sturm, Quartey, and Whitaker, and he beat a Trinidad-shot Vargas, and a washed up JCC. Who has this guy ever beat? I'm sorry if this seemed like an unfocused rant, but it was, I just had to say something about this fag.

Stopped reading it seriously after the bold
I agree he's gotten gift decisions but the fact he did enough to even get those fights even if he didn't deserve them was impressive to me.

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
This is really going to add to your sad clicks
He beat the fuck out of Vargas, Chavez, Mayorga, Campas, Gatti, Carr,....he's fucking great
He seriously lost two (Mosley I, Hopkins) times and he got 2 maybe 3 (Sturm, Whittaker, Quartey) decisions he didn't deserve.
VS Mosley in the rematch he got jobbed, vs Trinidad he got jobbed but it was his fault for staying on the bike in the later rounds instead of going for the stoppage.
If Oscar sucks, Mayweather is lower than Whale shit!
-
Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
And to answer your question "Who has he beat?" I answer it with "whoever his era spit out for him to beat"
How about I ask you this question.  In his prime and his hay day.  Who could he have fought that he didn't?  If you can name me a great fighter in Oscar's hay day that he DIDN'T fight then I'll say he didnt fight anybody.  until then, credit Oscar with his era and wins rather then discredit it because the era didnt spit out 10 leonards for him to fight.

I'm not worried about sad clicks. How does Mayweather suck? The guy is a true boxer and the best fighter in the world. Nobody could ever say that about De La Hoya. De La Hoya was never the best boxer of his time. You even said that he ran like a wuss in the Trinidad fight. Come on, I don't think anyone took Vargas seriously after he got owned by Trinidad. And Mayorga is third on your list? HAHAHAHAHA!!! You've got to be kidding. Let's be honest, De La Hoya shouldn't be in the same sentence as PBF, because PBF is just in a much better league. De La Hoya used his overwhelming size advantage in the earlier stages of his career, but as he moved up, he becamse ordinary. PBF is two weight classes out of his natural weight class and he's still dominating. U can't be serious.

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
This is what I mean, we all like watching the drama that ODLH brings when he fights, but let's keep his legacy in perspective, he was always a step under expectations. When he moved up to a weight where his advantages were taken away, he was ordinary.

You didn't answer my question though. You said keep his legacy in perspective. So do that by answering the question ;)

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
You can say Oscar fought the best of his era just as Majesty posted......you can't say that about Floyd because he hasn't come close to fighting Oscar, Shane, or Tszyu.
You can't name 1 GREAT of Mayweather's record....you can name a lot on Oscar's
JC Chavez, Hopkins, Mosley, Trinidad, Whittaker, Camacho
and you can name even more guys on Oscar's record are better than ANYONE Floyd fought
Key is Oscar took risks, Floyd hasn't
-
Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
Say all you want about Oscar but he stepped in the ring with fighters when they were still somebody.
PBF is fighting nothing but old bums and beatable fighters with no power or faulty chins.
Oscar does not need PBF.
PBF needs Oscar and is begging for the fight. Mayweather Sr. is laughing his azz off and is the one who is whispering into ODLH's ear.
PBF needs to fight Hatton, Margarito or Chiny, chin Cotto.
If PBF had the balls to step in the ring with any of these fighters I just mentioned, I would give PBF some kudos/accolades.
Win, lose or draw, Oscar has stepped in the ring with better opposition than PBF has.
Oscar is made of GOLD and PBF is made of BRONZE. (OLYMPICS BABY)

Wait let me get this straight, Floyd didn't take risks?!?! I'd say fighting an undefeated Corrales, JLC twice, and Jesus Chavez were pretty big risks at the time. Plus, Floyd won all but one very convincingly. I never said that Oscar hasn't fought anyone, I said that Oscar hasn't really beat anyone. Plus, Floyd takes guys that are physically bigger than him and makes them look ordinary. Aside from Trinidad, ODLH was the biggest welterweight/light middleweight of his era, and he looked ordinary. And when he moved up to fight bigger guys at 160, we all saw what happened. For god sakes, the guy was outhustled by a much smaller Mosley, ran from Trinidad, showed up out of shape against Hopkins and got knocked out, got dominated all night by Sturm but got the decision because no one wanted to ruin Hopkins fight plans. He did beat Vargas, but come on, who ever took Vargas seriously again after Tito pounded him into submission. He was SOOOOOOO much bigger than a 33 year old Whitaker at the time and he basically got a gift-wrapped decision. De La Hoya has never impressed me.

I too say that Oscar faught like a biatch against Tito.
He faught just like PBF fights. Hit and run.
Oscar should of got the nod for that fight. Oscar boxed and ran just like PBF does.
I was glad they gave the fight to Tito. I was very disapointed in Oscar even though he outboxed Tito, Oscar was still running a la PBF biatch style.

Why don't you give PBF credit for fighting a much bigger and undefeated Corrales, and JLC twice, and Chavez. When ODLH beats Gatti then Gatti is a great fighter, but when Floyd beats a naturally bigger Gatti who was on a three year winning streak and had revamped his style with the help of great trainer Buddy McGirt, then it's "Oh, Gatti was garbage, PBF shouldn't get credit for that." BTW, ODLH don't want the Mayweather fight, we all know why. PBF might need it because it's the biggest money fight in boxing for Mayweather and the most money PBF will ever see, but let's get this straight, ODLH DON'T WANT THAT FIGHT!!! That would basically be ODLH paying out of his own pocket for an asswhooping. ODLH uses his PPV appeal and popularity to mask the fact that in the ring he's ordinary.

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
I can pretty much sum up ODLH like this:
On the biggest non heavyweight PPV grossing fight ever and biggest stage of his career, ODLH ran!!! That's the truth. I'm sorry.

Oscar was running from one of thee best fighters Tito Trinidad.
PBF was running from an old man (Barney Rubble look a-like) soft hitting, slow as a turtle Baldomir.
You can not compare Baldomir to The Great Tito Trinidad.
GET REAL!

Oscar started at 135 pound and he is argueably the best at 154 today do the math mate ::**
From what you have seen of Mayweather at 140 (Corely, Brussles, Gatti) and 147 (Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir) you honestly think Mayweather could of beat Chavez, Whitaker, Quartey, Trinidad and Mosley all at 147 pound?
Get off the grass man ;D

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
Here we go again. Can't you see?! Floyd is trying to be like Oscar. A respected, wealthy, and POPULAR fighter. But he is no where near that level. So while you try and hate on Delahoya and try and make Floyd way bigger than he really is...Oscar is enjoying popularity as a fighter and huge success as a business man. You say he doesn't impress you...well guess what...Floyd beating slow footed, slow punching fighters doesn't impress me either.

Ummm, I think you were too busy sad clicking me to read what I was writing. I don't think anyone will agree with you here. ODLH was a MASSIVE 135 and 140, when he moved up to 147 and above, where he didn't have as much physical advantages, he was ordinary. PBF doesn't belong at 147 and is barely a true 140 pounder and he has dominated every fighter he's face from both weight classes. You can talk about Judah, but let's not forget Judah was the undisputed unified Welterweight champion at the beginning of this year and viciously knocked out a boxing master who fights at 154 (Spinks) to get those belts. And didn't ODLH fight Gatti too? Does that fight not count for ODLH?

Yeah because it's not like he wasn't boxing Tito Trinidad's ears off.
PLUS Trinidad had DANGEROUS power....who has Floyd fought that had that sort of power??? Castillo, Corrales??? BAH, Trinidad ENDED CAREERS!!!!
And fighting an undefeated Corrales was "risky"???? HA!
Moving up to middleweight and fighting Bernard Hopkins was RISKY!!!!

What are you even saying? Didn't I say at the beginning of this post that I respected ODLH's business sense? All boxers would like to be like ODLH outside of the ring, I SAID THAT!!! Read before writing. But a lot of ODLH popularity came from things outside of the ring like his charisma and his Mexican heritage. Hopkins was one of the best fighters of his era and it took him retiring for him to be accepted by mainstream public. This is EXACTLY WHAT I'M SAYING!!! Some of you are equating ODLH's popularity to his boxing ability and that is not accurate. And who the fuck said that I'm impressed by PBF's win over Baldomir, I started a post called Boring!!! saying how I thought the second half of the Baldy fight was boring and a post saying what a big mismatch this fight was before the fight. What are you talking about? You're confusing ODLH business success with his ring success. PBF will never be a PPV draw because he's not really a charasmatic person, he's not a heavyweight, he doesn't have a brawler's style and he doesn't have the huge Mexican following that the Mexican fighters have. You need to learn about the boxing business before you start talking.

OMG!!!! So you're saying that Corrales isn't a P4P puncher at lightweight. If you're saying that then you're just biased. You're talking about arguably the best lightweight of the past 4 years and just because Floyd demolished him, now you're saying Corrales is garbage. Yeah, you're a smart guy. A real genius. BTW, moving up to fight B-Hop actually winning would have been risky. But he lost. Also, ODLH showed up for that fight looking out of shape and flabby, this is Floyd's life, he prepares for fights like it's his last, that's his committment. So say what you want, but Floyd is the best fighter of this era, was ODLH that best fighter of his?

VS Mosley in the rematch he got jobbed, vs Trinidad he got jobbed but it was his fault for staying on the bike in the later rounds instead of going for the stoppage.
If Oscar sucks, Mayweather is lower than Whale S***!
Oscar started at 135 pound and he is argueably the best at 154 today do the math mate ::**
From what you have seen of Mayweather at 140 (Corely, Brussles, Gatti) and 147 (Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir) you honestly think Mayweather could of beat Chavez, Whitaker, Quartey, Trinidad and Mosley all at
147 pound?
Get off the grass man ;D
Ummm, I think you were too busy sad clicking me to read what I was writing. I don't think anyone will agree with you here. ODLH was a MASSIVE 135 and 140, when he moved up to 147 and above, where he didn't have as much physical advantages, he was ordinary. PBF doesn't belong at 147 and is barely a true 140 pounder and he has dominated every fighter he's face from both weight classes. You can talk about Judah,
but let's not forget Judah was the undisputed unified Welterweight champion at the beginning of this year and viciously knocked out a boxing master who fights at 154 (Spinks) to get those belts. And didn't ODLH fight Gatti too? Does that fight not count for ODLH?
I don't click period. Whether someone is big for their weight or not is irrelevent. Fact is ODH has belts at 6 weights PBF has belts at 4 plain and simple. Lets also not forget that Judah was nearly stopped by the feather fisted Baldomir right before he fought PBF and didn't deserve the fight anyway!!
Mayweather hasn't fought anyone listed on a p4p list since Featherweight, Oscar has fought half a dozen. At least we know how good Oscar is, you are just ASSUMING Floyd is as good as you say!! there simply is not enough proof.
It was Oscar that destroyed a 29 year old Gatti!! go and get yourself a tape of Gatti v Robinson and tell me it was the same Gatti Floyd fought?
It is easy to look good when you aren't fighting the best. ;)

He's a F****** hypocrite. Now he's saying that he doesn't want the PBF fight anymore. What the F*** is that? I'm sorry if this seemed like an unfocused rant, but it was, I just had to say something about this fag.
get the F*** outta here
Great analysis you dumbass.

A 29 year old Gatti was an unfocused brawler who thought he could outslug a physically much bigger fighter in ODLH. Lol, you said 29 year old Gatti like that's supposed to mean something.

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
Ask yourself this: who is Floyd's toughest opponent to date?
answer: Baldomir?
at 147 Oscar would of destroyed the slow light punch Baldomir, all Floyd did was pot shot and break his hand.

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
don't try and come at PBF

How can you tell me to get the fuck outta here after me just stating my opinion? Usually, when you disagree with an opinion you have a counter opinion, that's how a debate works. Or you could just not saying anything at all if you don't have anything useful to add, that works too.

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
I just think he should take more risks, that's all. People talk the same shit about RJJ but the difference is RJJ fought greats like: Hopkins and Toney and he tested himself going UP to heavyweight winning a title, going down to light heavyweight and winning AGAIN.
Floyd has to do somethign special, we all know he's a special fighter, I just want him to do something special

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
here's the question I keep asking you but get no answer to
In his prime and his hay day.

Oscar is a naturally bigger man than Mayweather. 147 to Mayweather is probably equivilent to 154 for Oscar.
People seem to forget Floyd is only a little guy, a natural lightweight probably.
It annoys me when people say Suger Ray Leonard would have beaten him as well, again Leonard was a much bigger man.
By the way at 135 or 140 Floyd does beat both De La Hoya and Leonard.

Winky Wright, I told you earlier.

Re: I'm sorry but ODLH is garbage!!!
oscar IMO is a great fighter. whether or not you think he deserve to win the fights you mention is irrelevant because he won. he gave all those guys a great fight.
