If it was Wvlad that night instead of Vitali I reckon Lewis will have still tried to slug out out cuz he wasnt in condition to box .
If he was in the same shape he was for Rahman 2 then Lewis would have snapped out his left hand and ended it with a right pretty early in the fight .
The Lewis Vitali fought though was older and slower and Wvlad would have done better than his bro by boxing more , getting involved less and use his left hand from a distance . Inevitably Lennox would have caught up with him and those shots he began landing on Vitali would have dropped and stopped Wvlad . Igave Vitali 1 more round beofre getting stopped legitimatley by Lewis if it wasnt for the cuts . Id give Wvlad even less considering his stamina and chin problems

Again Wlad dosent have it in him to War with someone...That Fight Lewis had with Vitali was a Classic Heavyweight battle that saw Lewis landing some clean solid punches on Vitali that rocked him a few times especially the uppercut, but Vitali kept his composure and stayed on his feet and kept pressing on bravely.....
if It was Wlad he would of been gassed out from the constant action and would of been dropped and KO'd...NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.....

That would not have been a good fight for Wlad at the time but if it was todays Wlad, it's pretty tough to call. Wlad has a much faster and stiffer jab than Vitali and we all saw how Vitali was tatooing Lewis. His chin could come into play though cause Lewis is not one of these little guys so it's definitely a tough call.

I said Wlad could have made Lewis more cautious OR Lewis COULD HAVE done the same thing he did to Michael Grant
And by that I mean that there were 2 outcomes Lewis-Briggs-esque or Lewis-Grant-esque and if the Briggs type of fight played out Wlad would have had a better chance than Shannon to finish Lennox if he got them hurt.

Lewis won fair and square, I wish there had of been a rematch because it was
an entertaining fight, but if Lewis came into the fight in good condition he'd make
life alot easier 4 himself

Lewis "finished stronger" because he had to try to take advantage of that cut...he shot his load and if the fight continued for 1 more round it would have been Vitali on top again because Lewis was dead fucking tired and all he could say was "look at the state of his face"
I have no hate for Lewis but give Vitali his props, he wasn't going to get "KNOCKED OUT" in the literal since of the term he had already taken Lewis' best shots and didn't go down.
Vitali was jipped out of a chance to win by a cut and it was an accidental cut...it sucks

Accidental cut :-\ nah Lewis cut him with a right hand . It was clearly shown in replay . Lewis beat him fairly and there cant be any disputing that. Vitali acted with little class at the end . Far from a dignity in defeat he was a sore loser . Didnt deserve a rematch . Yeah he put up a decent effort but if a champ wnats to retire why cant he

Vitali took one of the most ruthless upercuts that I've ever seen and kept coming. That would have dropped Wladimir like a bag of soiled laundry.
Vitali looked like he could have gone on in the fight while Lewis was totally exhausted.
It was a great championship fight! Very ballsy performance by both sides. If the fight wasn't stopped, the result would be idle speculation at this point.
We should just thank Lewis and Klitschko for a very entertaining war and leave it at that.

It wasn't Lewis' intention to cut him, he didn't do anything dirty, but it was an accident.
Wladimir would have made Lewis be a little hesitant IMO, but hey you never know, I won't disagree with Lewis winning it at that time

no there not lewis has been in some tough fights when he hasnt got dropped mercer fight was slugfest briggs one was bruno one he had to take right hands and he comeback and of course vitali brawl vitali was only 2 rounds ahead i think people overrate this performance id love to of seen prime lewis fight that night

Yes Lewis took the fight on short notice as well but the champion is supposed to be in shape anyways.
That being said I thought Lewis' toughness really showed in that fight as opposed to his previous fights

Lennox would have stopped him..probably. Vlad just doesn't have the chin and lewis is too accurate, hard hitting and a great boxer. The shots Vitali soaked up would have had Vlad in La La land.

He refused it cause he was gettin too old to be fighting and didnt want to end up damaged goods. Look at it like this: a past-his-prime Lennox Lewis went in there with a prime Vitali Klitschko on a fight he took on 2 weeks notice (he had been supposedly training for kirk johnson and taking it very lightly from the fatty spare tire he carried into the ring). What fight were you watching? Yeah VK gave him some trouble for four or five rounds but if anyone was gettin KOed it was Vitali. At the end of the round right before it was stopped Lewis was landing punches almost at will. The uppercut he hit Klitschko with that round was ridiculous...I thought his head was gonna come right off! I give VK props for having a good chin but there aint no way he was takin more of that shit especially since he couldnt see cuz his face was gettin turned into hamburger. That shot would not have just KOed Wladimir, it probably would have ended his career and maybe his life. Lennox Lewis would have mangled both of them in his prime and did a pretty fair job of mangling VK's face when he had the chance. I really wanted to see him fight VK again too, but he DID stop him and if Lewis felt he had nothing more to prove then he had nothing more to prove. He knew he couldnt beat Vitali? Dude, he DID beat him! He made his face look like Arnold's in T2!

is it me, or is everyone forgetting that Lewis didn't really have the best chin in HW history either, all of his Knockout losses came from just one punch, and also that a few others had him pretty much out but weren't able to capitalize, Bruno being one that comes to mind quick
