Lets jus say floyd goes back on his word about retirement, and carries on for another few yrs, who does he have to beat? and how many wins undefeated does he need to be considered a G.O.A.T?
I personally dnt believe he has to be in great fights cuz he always gets the job done, but he does need 5 or 6 big name fights and a belt at another weight class. discuss ;D

those are the first things that come to mind. I'm sure there are more, but to even be considered as part of this category he has a good 5 years worth of fights left, and it's not looking like that's gonna happen. I like floyd as a boxer, and I think he has the potential for it, but personally I don't have him in the top 50 for GOAT yet.

Oh he sure did as did RJJ but in hindsight they just didn't take the right fights.
PBF - Mosley and ODH and to a lesser extent Hatton and Cotto
RJJ - Hopkins 2, Toney 2, Benn, Eubank, Calzaghe, Michalzweski, Jirov, Holyfield (IMO a great fight that never happened), Tyson
Those guys just got caught up in the hype...for the TRUE greats what they did was NEVER good enough

I totally agree with Lyle,those guys he mentioned fought the best to prove they are the best first and second,let's not get confused,Floyd IS the most talented fighter bar none but Erik MorLES,Oscar De La Hoya and Tito Trinidad all fough far far better level of opposition. Look at the depth of 147 and how man dangerous fighters there are,and you can't be an all time great beating guys like Mitchell,Brusseles etc etc. Like I said,supremely talented but NO WAY top GOAT!!! NO WAY!
IMO I dont care how many weight classes he has been champion in
1) I would like to see him unify a division and then dominate it till he retires.
2) Take them all on. If they have the nerve to call him out then get them in the ring and prove why they dont belong. Dont tell me they dont, prove it to me!!!!
