Bad news for Wladimir
Corrie Sanders is back.
There is not much chance that Wlad will be able to beat Sanders in a re-match, and unless he fights he will be scorned.
Sanders went 8 rounds of confrontation with Vitaly while not being fully motivated due to managerial problems. HIs manager scumbag had stolen his purse from the Wladimir fight, no wonder it was hard to focus for him. Still I rate the Sanders fight to be the 2nd hardest fight for Vitaly.
Go to youtube and see Sanders latest wins. AWESOME.

Sanders could beat; Wlad, Toney, Maskaev, Valuev

Re: Bad news for Wladimir
I doubt it...and I also doubt Corrie is able to work his way back up the ladder
Corrie is fighting on the 24th...it's his first fight since 2004.

Re: Bad news for Wladimir
....that fight was in 2004 fellas
So unless he's carrying his own clubs and walking a full 18 holes then I highly doubt he's in shape.
He's going on 40 years old....he won't come back for long

Sanders was overlooked in his fight with Wlad, Wlad will not do it again. Wlad will ko him early in a rematch.

Re: Bad news for Wladimir
but really all it takes to beat a heavyweight is the ability to stand and throw 50 punches per round for 12 rounds. no heavyweight can either do that or withstand that... bunch of fat pussies!
-
Re: Bad news for Wladimir
Have you thrown 50 punches per round over 12 rounds???
I'd say 30 punches a round would be sufficient for heavyweights.
-
Re: Bad news for Wladimir
Sanders didn't throw too much in that fight - the only real shots were the lefts that Wlad kept eating.
If Sanders got a win or two under his belt, a rematch with Klitschko could be good for Wlad (or really, really bad!) Wlad seems to have his head screwed on right at the moment, and I think we'd see a different second fight. It would be really, really interesting to me to see how Wlad would handle a rematch mentally. That fight would also offer probably the first real measure of his recent progress.

Re: Bad news for Wladimir
if sanders got himself back in good shape i pick sanders by ko in rematch with wlad

Wlad did overlook him....a fight fell through with Lennox Lewis because Lewis thought the British Championship or whatever was better so he was going to fight Kirk Johnson and MAYBE then fight Wlad.
Wlad and his crew struggled to find an opponent and they got Sanders....in hindsight it was a HORRIBLE choice. Southpaw with power and a good chin...tough for anyone.
When McCall and Rahman KO'd Lennox....Lennox didn't get up....Wlad did.
This is one of the losses I don't think Wlad can explain away other than the fact he just got beat HOWEVER, I fail to see why this should worry Wlad.
lennox Lewis never fought Corrie Sanders....and if he did he'd have trouble too!

yep lewis may of had trouble but if sanders gets in shape and there is a rematch i still fancy sanders to beat wlad in my opinion anyway

Re: Bad news for Wladimir

Wladimir underestimated him in the first fight, that would not happen again. You are underestimating Wladimir.

nope i think wlads good but he has weak chin and wlad struggled against sanders left hand really early in that fight i see sanders koing wlad again if he gets in good shape that is
-
Re: Bad news for Wladimir
....don't see a rematch happening because Sanders is 40 years old and just starting a comeback.
If they do rematch however, I see Wlad tiring Sanders out with the jab baiting him to throw the left cross so Wlad can throw the right cross as a lead to set up for a left hook

Sanders won't win a 2nd time against Klitschko. Wlad put his chin on a shelf that was easily reached by Sanders' left. Now Steward has him fighting standing straight up and rather than pursuing, Klitschko draws his opponents in while painting them up with the jab. And once the target is painted the bomb of a right hand comes down.
Case in point, Sam Peter would have KO'd the old Klitschko easy. Peter has a hard head and more than likely can't be KO'd. He tasted plenty leather from Klitschko and didn't get wobbled until the 12th.

No Wlads problem with Sanders were deeper than just overlooking him. In fact he is careful in the opening round, but Sanders is very good at neutralizing the jab, and moves away, in fact they look similar same height and size, and then Sanders finds the angle for the left. Also he counter punches awesomely when hit; watch Varakin, the last fight. Now, I LOVE Sanders, and everyone must admit he is exciting and honorable. I think he has good chances against all the champs and major contendors. And imagine having a champ who fights like one. No pussyfooting around; he goes for blowing em' out in the first round. I believe he would have KO'd Brock in the 1st when he had scared leggs. Maskaev would be too slow, Peter too one dimensional, yes I believe in SANDERS! Yay; now we have another FUN man to watch! Great: Wlad is always great fun, MAsakev is fun (in his way), Briggs is fun in his way, Peter is fun in his way, Toney is obviously fun, and the Giant is fun. I like.

Re: Bad news for Wladimir
Teddy Atlas and Sanders; scary pair.
Sanders needs a scary guy like Teddy who will make him run and run and run and be serious. (With a gun to his head.) If I were a billionaire I wouldput them together as my team.
Sanders may be 40 + but he can make up for that by being 20% better shape and more dedicated.

Re: Bad news for Wladimir
According to the poll we had last week it didn't matterif Wladdy fought Corrie and Purity the only one people seemed to OK was Brewster...
So No, thats not bad news for Wladdy... At this moment theres no reason to fight him maybe down the road yes..

Agreed lyle....but Lennox at least revanged his two losses ;)
