De La Hoya: "Mayweather First, Wright Next"
i just gained a whole lotta respect back for OSCAR if this is true and comes off! almost as much as i loved him prior to TITO
Shet!!
Not sure if ODLH can pull that off PBF, then Winky.... ???
Thats on gutsy move by ODLH, more power to him if he can pull this off.....
Man that would be siiiiiiiiiiick if he knocked both PBF, and Winky out and retired. We'd all have to
hmmmm i dont know RAWBERT why dont you turn ya head to the left and ask Oscar since he's standing next to you ahhaaQuote:

You just gotta take your hat of to this guy. He wants to fight anyone worth fighting, shame more fighters aint like him.
If this is true, I would love ODLH even more. i just hope that he would put up a very good fight with both of them. losing is okay, ODLH has all the excuses in this world. ;D But showing a terrible one sided loses to both of the great fighters mentioned in the latter would be very sad not just for ODLH career but also for us, boxing fans. ;)
If this is true,HUGE respecxt to Oscar although if he loses to Floyd, will he still fight Winky? I think Winky beats him but hey,1 step at a time, take on Floyd first.
Yeah I still see him retiring after Mayweather likely beats him.
this is amazing. mayweather then wright. that is totally cool
B-E-A-YOU-tiful!
It's great to see Oscar saying that he wants to take on the best, but I don't see this happening. Odds are that Mayweather will win the fight in May. At that point, the fight that everyone should be clamoring to see is Mayweather-Winky.
Winky moved up to 160 strictly for financial reasons, it wasn't anything physical, so he should have no problems getting back down to 154.
Also, Winky was never a big puncher, so Mayweather shouldn't have any worries about facing a naturally bigger man. That would be the true PFP championship and a fight that I would love to see.
I can't believe you guy's are falling for this guy's bull. After Mayarga he said he really wanted PBF on Nov 5, then he decided his body was not ready for that date. Then he said he would fight PBF on May 5th, then he changed his mind to try and fight Tito one more time, after contracts fell through he decided that he did not want to fight Tito so it was back to PBF. After the Baldo fight he decided that he had no interest in fighting PBF and started to reconsider Tito again, out of nowhere he signed the PBF fight. Don't be surprised if he changes his mind again and want's to fight Tito last instead of Winky, or what if some miracle Quartey beats Wright then Oscar will want to fight him. He is all over the place, but I will give him respect for finally taking the PBF fight.Quote:

Agreed, that would be a helluva way to see out 2007.Quote:

Its a nice scenario, but I dont see ODLH getting past Floyd. I think Oscar is flying a little bit to high after a win over Mayorga.
At this stage of his career, he got outboxed by Felix Sturm. I doubt he can lay a hand on Floyd.
Yeah i agree. If he wins both fights (even if both fights happen), it'd be huge. Not only huge for him and his career but it'd give boxing a huge step forward in 07. This accompanied by a heavyweight unification would give boxing some life back.Quote:

Sturm is alot bigger man than Mayweather! and he was holding his own against Hopkins until the 9th you think Floyd could hang with BHop? or at least last till the 9th?Quote:

True, Sturm is bigger, but Sturm was beating him to the punch, and I wouldnt classify Sturms jab as lightning fast.Quote:

Oscar did ok with Bernard, but was on his way to a late round beatdown.
For Oscars sake I hope he specified a Phone booth sized ring for his fight with Floyd. ;D
agree with both points! lets see Floyd in the pocket against Oscars arsenal ;DQuote:
