Pacquiao v Valero - I'll stick my neck out on this one and ....

I'll stick my neck out on this one, but before I do I just thought I would start this topic as I’m sure this will be well discussed.

Sometimes in boxing, and sport in general, we have upsets, the unexpected, and of course the predictable happens. I’m not being big headed but when Barrera fought Prince Naz Hamed I predicted that Barrera would win, when Hatton fought Tzsyu again I predicted that Hatton would win.

So that leads me to this prediction, first of all I’m a big fan of Pacquiao, Morales, Barrera and Marquez although I feel Marquez hasn’t achieved the heights of the other three. You may recall a while ago I started a topic called Fabulous Four Part 2 as I was extremely confident that these fighters would mix it up with each other and be good for boxing.

I also predicted that Pacquiao would be one of the best in boxing, as I’ve been following him since he had his long hair and big moushtache, but anyway here goes..

I’ll stick my neck out and predict that Valero can beat Pacquiao, it’s no way near a sure bet and yes you will say “who has Valero fought? Nobody” but all boxers have to fight somebody first and beat them, and I feel this would be Valero’s chance, I’m not saying that Valero’s better than Pacquiao, all I’m saying is in there first meeting we will have a lot more respect for Valero and of course if Valero wins there will be second fight which Pacquiao will win.

I’ll leave it at that for now as I have to get back to work, but I will come back and give the reason for my prediction.

I was expecting a bit more of a response, as I say I feel Valero wins on points first time round, can anybody else build a case for Valero to win or are most going with Pacquiao?

Reasons for your answers please.

valero really has no chance against pac...pac is to fast too skilled too strong...valero don't really have anything to offer pac right now...valero can't k.o. pac em mab jmm couldn't even drop him no way valero can pacs chin and body is so improve its just amazing he walks through and keeps attacking against ems mabs jmms punches...pac may just box valero or just finish him quick...plus pac is a huge step up you got to be a legend or future hall of famer already to compete with the pacman of today...valero has no experience against a storm like pac...and pac takes no one lightly he`ll dominate you he loves his people too much to be foolish so yea valeros only chance if he has any is if pac underestimates him but pac is no fool left or right pac will take valero out...

valero is a fish out of water inside a ring against pac...like I said before anyone can say anything now but once inside with pac all plans and talk are flying over your head by then pac is already all over you so yea poor valero is another corpse to get pounded...

yea valero has consecutive k.o in the first round but those are true bums...valero may look good now to some people because of those k.o`s but against pac he himself is gonna look like the bum like the guys he k.oed...you can say he looks good in sparring or those first round k.o`s but pac a huge huge step up and valeros chin is no morales or jmm nor mab...pac will probably k.o valero in the first and after that everyones gonna say ahh valero is a bum he won't look so good after pac whoops him...

Pac must be careful and take valero seriously. Valero may upset Pac but talentwise, skillwise, power, speedwise, experiencewise... Pac has a great advantage. But Pac has everything to lose, and Valero will sure train hard. So,as I said Pac must take him seriously.

Bro I'm not saying PAC hasnt improved it's just Valero has incredible raw power/talent like PAC which can be honed that's why he is a threat IMO more than JMM and MAB put together. They said Mosquera was more than just a decent fighter and Valero stopped him I guess that's proof that he is for real.
Anyways I always hope and pray that PAC retires within 2 years if he beats JMM, MAB, Guzman and Valero.

Pacquiao vs Valero is a mismatch right now. Valero was almost knocked out by Mosquera, Pac would brutalise him.

Valero needs at least another couple years before he can think about challenging the worlds best.

the question is if valero can stand pac's offense
and theres no way in hell he can get up if hes decked once
pac has taken the best blows of EM, marquez, barrera....

guys you know what this is not a fight that either of these fighters need at this time because first of all, they still have a lot of things to prove. pac needs to be a champion first and get at least any of those belts and valero should not be an option because he has nothing to gain if he beats valero. And on valero's case, he is not ready for pacquiao yet. he may be exposed and his talent would be wasted because there is a very big possibility he would be destroyed and humiliated by manny. and i agree with mr.bilbo and mr.the_answer that he is one talented kid but he is just raw and inexperienced and he hasnt fought in the US at all. This is where the competition really happens. the big stage and against the big stars, valero hasnt taste any of it. And i also doubt if he can take pacquiao's brutal blows. again he hasnt prove anything but his power

I have watched the fights of valero and I think he won't be able to knock out Pacquaio. Valero's style is the same as Pacquaio's style 7 years ago when the Pacman was still fighting in Blow by Blow.

However, Pacquaio can't be too confident. Valero has power in his punches. Valero can deliver a lucky punch and this may ultimately change the tide for Pacquaio.

He can knock manny out if he lands a big punch especially if manny is caught off-balance and more if its a counterpunch. But the question to me is if valero can do that before he himself gets hit. Can he take manny's punches? we dont know. who knows. But as far as who attacks first and who hits the first big punch, I'll go with pacquiao.

Have you seen the video of valero owning Morales in sparring? What you have to look at is the size of valero. He's much bigger than Morales and Marquez. I actually think Guzman would be a much tougher fight for valero. I think Guzman is too big for Pacman and he pretty much owned Barrios. Most fighters fightin today have only KO'd bums to be honest but you don't have to be a bum to get KO'd.

If i were Valero i would duck Pacquiao till he is old enough to retire,then challenge Pacquiao to a big fight.This is the only way for Valero to win against the Pac.Not at this time when Manny is still at his prime.

Sorry for not agreeing but Larios shook pacman to his boots and i think valero is more than capable of KO'ing him. Just my opinion tho. Be very exciting anyway.

After reading the article "monstrous Valero" what do you think?

People saying Valero would get ko'd because he was dropped by Mosquera should look at Larios,
Larios was tko'd rd 3 in a lower weight but stepped up and went the distance with Pac in his next fight, plus Valero has huge power, imo more than EM MAB and JMM, maybe Pac ko's him but Valero would
have a huge chance of ko'ing him as well, he was very close to stopping Mosquera in the first round, he starts so fast!!
I'd say if the 2 met the first round alone could be one of the best we'll ever see, real Hagler Hearns shit ;D
