Would love to see this ko, apparently it's really brutal and led to Butler being banned from boxing.
I hear he's now in jail for killing Max Kellermans brother, sounds like a nice guy :-\

There was a program about boxing on last night on Bravo (UK/Ireland channel) and it showed the punch... brutal isn't the word. Grant was convulsing on the ground and spitting up loads of blood after it! Butler had a sadistic smirk on his face right before he let loose... what makes it worse was the fact that Grant was going over to say no hard feelings when Butler threw it... friggin animal.
Yeah sounds horrific, I wanna see ;DQuote:

Here you go...
I remember that card very well. I remember seeing Jermain Taylor for the first time on that card. It was supposed to be the prospect versus the game journeyman in Grant but Butler just didn't show up. He was fighting dirty and Grant was retaliating and it really got ugly but they kept touching gloves after the dirty moves so...well everything was ok. Butler put on a performance similar to that of Judah against Baldomir. He looked good at times and looked like he could get it done but he never did and let WAY to many rounds slip. He just didn't put it together and I guess that was frustration afterwards. But one of the worst things I've ever seen in a boxing ring.
I have that fight on video tape somewhere around here.

You might of seen that before, but how cheap is that. That was a HUGE right, right on the botton when Grant wasn't expecting it WITH wraps on.
Butler is in jail now for murdering Max Kellerman's brother
i remember that being on KOTV a few years back. i think james butler's ban was just coming to an end and he was ready to make a comeback. so he's in jail now then is he? that sounds about right.

For the find, not a lot of people have seen this.....
And this matter has been brought up a lot of what James did on this night, really fwocked up!!! >:mad
Hes just a fwocken nut job....
Grant, this is the same guy that just fought Librado Andrade about 2 weeks ago....
never seen that mate heard of it cc for the find
Didn't the other guy suffer serious injuries from that punch?
What a lowlife. I heard about this, but never saw it.
That punk is a bottom feeder if there ever was one. I'm sitting here thinking of more abuse I can dish at the guy, but it would be just too cruel, even for a cave dwelling thug like Butler.
thats just harsh. what a assholeQuote:

What a disgrace to the sport of boxing and to humanity in general.
Wouldnt you love to chuck him in the ring with Klitshko(by 2), Lennox, Tyson(prime), Tua and Mercer all at the same time. That is a death i would LOVE to see. ;D
Yep, Some people are just better off in prison.
how about the ultimate: Tua fighting him in prison....wasn't Tua in prison for something??? Tua bare knucked would literally rip his entire jaw off.
I googled this Butler scum, and I found out he beat Kellermans brother to death with a hammer.
Kellerman's brother gave this trash a place to stay, till he could get back on his feet. Nice way to return a favor.
The fact we pay taxes to give this cretin 3 squares and a bed, says it all.
I remember he was on cold pizza while planning his comeback with Richard Grant and he brought him there to publically apologize to him and they embraced and went out to eat afterwards. I didnt see him braggingQuote:

I mean usually boxers are down on themselves when that happens but he's a whole nother type of animal.
He got 29 years for the Kellerman murder.
It was probably Grant's biggest win up to that point. Heavy underdog going in, all the talk was about Butler and that fight got Grant a title shot. I think he faced Echols or someone like that (maybe it was Montel Griffin) and has been fighting prospects ever since.

Seriously dude, if i remember correctly he was wearing a black polo neck sweater (def not prison clothes) and he was sat by a window (with a nice view) kinda like he was on the 10th floor of a high rise somewhere?Quote:
