split between.. toney/roy jones..even though both have been on top of the game for years both have recieved
mad amounts of criticism from the press about wieght/ who they fought...
james faded out for a few years and came back to become fighter of the year and hes still up there trying to prove hes the best...
roy lost three times strait, knocked out twice, and is still fighting trying to get back his titles..
Felix trinidad.. i personally feel he has great heart ( much like alot of great puerto rican fighters)
because he always fought hard, fought for the entertainment of his fans, took his first loss at the hands of bhop, and was up at the count of nine but the fight was stopped in the last round..
and he came back to fight mayorga more then anything because he missed the roar of his fans...
i have to put oscar up there too because hes always been among boxings elite and always fought his heart out and taken the comptetition that he should have whilst on top,
he had a long struggle with fans but he kept fighting and won them over...
he took his defeats with grace and hes still doing great things for the sport of boxing..
of course honourable mentions go to ali, frazier, bruno ( the brain might not have been there , but the heart was!)

Theres no arguement , he wasnt all heart... he obviously couldnt have been...
yes he fought the best.. yes he got beaten.. but yes hes a former world champ.. so hes hardly all heart ;)

Dempsey kicked his ass. Didn't mean Willard had heart. It just ment his corner and the ref didn't have one. That fight should of been stopped in the 1st minute.

Yeah, that was uncharacteristic of him, But other than that he showed true heart in other fights.

I think Lacy should have a mention... He showed great heart to keep trying in his last outing, even when it was clear he wasn't gunna win, he showed great heart not to quit, and even TRY and do something - then to fight first fight back against a pretty good fighter tonight... good heart imo

From fights i've actually watched (in no order):
Ali- Eventhough fnr3 giving him 50 out of a possible 100 (what a joke) i think he had a lot. He said no to the government for something he didn't believe in and served an unjust punishment. In Ali-Frazier I round 11, everyone thought he was rocked by the shot frazier hit him with but to me it looked like he was mocking frazier.
Litzau- Completely out on his feet but rallied and won the fight.
I'll say Marciano eventhough it's easy to keep fighting in a fight you're losing when you know all you need is one good shot and its over.
Chuvalo- Greatest chin ever or not you need to have something else to survive Ali, Foreman, and Frazier without being knocked down.
Chuvalo- Come on it can't be all chin can it?
