Isn't that the same injury that Vitali quit on?
And Jeff got the same injury in the same arm against another Vitali?
The irony :o
Lacy isnt done if he really fought that fight from the 2nd round on with a torn rotator cuff.
I never thought he was done anyway.
I hope everyone at HBO feels like an idiot for bashing him the way they did!
intresting point ;)
yeah agree... shame really for him his world has been pretty torn apart over the last year :(Quote:

Hope he can heal up, and get back on track.
does he still have that hot asss ITALIAN gf tho????Quote:

In shock. Really am. I mean as if he wasn't tried enough by the Calzaghe loss. He's going to have to have some real thick skin and a hell of a work ethic to get back.Quote:

Yet people were fine when they bashed Mayweather for getting the injury against Castillo..., and he still came back not that long after to beat Castillo decisively. I have respect for both Lacy and Mayweather for being able to fight through that which IMO is worse than a broken hand.
Damn bad luck for Jeff, a shame as he's one of the most likeable guys in boxing.
The only positive is that it his poor showing in retrospect was probably due to injury more than anything else.
Lacy is a real fighter and will doubtless come back from this, and I'm sure the vast majority of fight fans will wish him well.
Lacy has an iron heart, so hopefully he can get through this.
I don't think he came into the ring prepared enough.
Not prepared, so more prone to injuries.
He wasn't his usual ripped self that night, he changed trainers, and he had some problems coming into the fight.
Hope he gets better.
Vitali's was knee ligament, but I admire Jeff's heart for carrying on, you can't question his spirit after being completly outclassed by Calzaghe, however I think you can question his ability. He's not lived up to the hype, and fair enough, its not his fault he's not as good as people thought, its not like he hasn't tried. Maybe next time Jeff, although 2 comebacks in as many fights is never a good sign, he'll be 30 before he can fight again.Quote:

Won't be back for some time, I'm sure Kostya Tszyu was out for over 18 months when he did his.
This could finish Lacy for good ;)
As much as that would make your little Wee, Wee rise.... Aint happening Bud....Quote:

Now it makes perfect sense that his left hook was ineffective and kept getting peppered with Tyspko's right hand, Jeff was physically unable to defend against it...
CC, good points....This injury says it all really. Lacy has been slagged unduly over this performance. That he continued and eked out a result says it all. Its just a downer that he will be out so long.....he will be back. My only concern is that he will be 30. Wont be easy to reach the top again. With the right approach he can do it though....Quote:

Fair enough.
It was his left shoulder tho. He still had his powerful right hand at 100% and he could've boxed to a UD.Quote:

I seriously doubt that given his return age,he can claw it back.
Huge setback for him i agree but your asking the near on impossible if you seriously think he can come back and win a world title belt.

I love Teddy Reid. But Lacy surpassed Reid a while back, when he beat top fighters and won a world title. Lacy is far less chinny, and a bit more skilled than Reid. But if Lacy can show the same heart that Reid has, he'll be doing something, and I think he has shown great heart. I wonder what all these Vitali Klit apologizers, and bitches using Clottey's little broken finger as an excuse have to say now?! Lacy fought on with a torn rotator, did not QUIT, and WON THE DAMN FIGHT!!!!!!!Quote:

No wonder he was leading with his right hand so much!
Evander was fighting like that for the last 4 years. hence the poor performances vs. Donald , Toney and so on. It's a hard injury to recover from, and can be career ending , How about some love and appreciation for Evander Holyfield ! O0
Less a mechanics thing more a sheer burning pain in my arm thing.Quote:
