Just to counter the other "who loves the sport" thread, who boxes and truly seems to dislike what they do.
I'll go ahead and throw out two obvious ones, Andrew Golota and the now retired Mike Tyson.

I would have to say that this is a love hate relationship.
How can anyone love this crooked azz sport, except those who are getting rich in the process?
EUBANK most famously, ofcourse, always said he hated boxing
"mugs game"
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
All he does is run.

Mike Tyson hates boxing...hell...Mike hates everything.

when you shut out the linear welterweight champ (who probably could easily be fighting at 154-160) and the guy lands like 12% of his punches and all you get is criticism in return, it may sour him on the sport that hes devoted his ENTIRE life to and mastered
like when he fought gatti.........
so many people were talking about gattis power, chin, heart, etc. etc. before the fight, and floyd made him look so bad that the same people who were taking gatti in the fight turned around and said "well thats just gatti, he was never very good"
its gotta be infuriating
Agreed again...100%.Quote:

who is better?
the guy who has a batting average of .365 and hits 29 homeruns a year?
or the guy who hits .268 and knocks out 40 homeruns a year?
tyson doesn't hate boxing
True. Fans love boxing but they love to see brawl. ;)Quote:

Floyd.
being a great fighter + taking half the fight off = no heart
I wouldn't say he hates boxing because of this...Quote:

I would have said Oliver McCall if he retired after the Lewis fight, because there's no crying in boxing.
unless you winQuote:

Slugfests are fun but a great boxer beats a great slugger.
And someone who truly hated boxing Roy Jones Jr and Sugar Ray Robinson.
riddick bowe i know he prolly didnt hate boxing but he hated preparing to be great and defend his title like true champ and for me someone who doesnt train 100 percent in a gym to try and be best ever doesnt love boxing that much because they havent really got there heart in the game
I dont think any boxers truly hate or hated boxing. If so they wouldnt have gotten into it in the first place or stick around.
Eubank said he hated it but in reality it was his way of showing himself off to the world. He loved it, no matter he may have said.
My problem with Floyd is that when I think of a defensive specialist I think of someone that is able to stay in range and not get hit. Floyd pot shots then runs to the other side of the ring. It seems to me that with the likes of Bhop and Winky they were/are able to stay in range and not get hit. I think that frustrates a fighter faster, when a guy is right there all night but you still cant touch him. Neither fighter ran off to the other side of the ring. Floyd has argueably the best defense in the sport right now, so nothing against him just dont like the way he uses his skills, I feel like he wastes it more than he uses it.Quote:

Well, Sugar Ray Robisnon did.
I'd say Audley Harrison hates boxing.
yea thats what he says in his book, you have summed it up wellQuote:

George Foreman hates boxing and has complete disdain for the sport in general...George saw it as an escape when he was young and saw it purely as a money making vehicle to save his youth center when he got older...Ask the heavy's he fought and they will all tell you he was a fake...Is George a bad guy, NO he's a good guy that dislikes the sport and what it represents but George is a business man with other loves rather than boxing...
Audley Harrison!
Totally spineless!
Why be a boxer if you are terrified of being hit?
Corrie Sanders!!!!!!!!!!!! On a golf tournament when call on to KO Klitschko, then stands trading w Viatly for 8 rounds without even bothering to prepare, and now says he needs the money and so he starts by beating Australian champ and next year hell probably reluctantly have to knock some russian out and get some money and a title - he explains his style as; I just want it to end before I get hit. Very funny.Quote:
