worst boxing movie ever
im curious to see what everybody thinks...........
i forget the name of the one i thought was the worst (maybe gladiator? i could be wrong), but i remember at the end the crooked manager (or promoter) comes out out of the corner to fight and whenever this superfighter tries to hit him, he ducks his head down so the fighter hits the top of his head. to which the crooked manager/promoter says "top of the head, hardest part of the body"
it was absolutely dreadful >:mad

Re: worst boxing movie ever
i have to disagree with u lords :-X i thought its was unrealistic but very entertaining....in australia the title of the movie is actually midnight sting, but every other country calls it diggs town ???
the worst one in my oppinion would have to be streets of gold(olschool wesley snipes..movie sucked a$$)gladiator was just ok and undefeated was good except for the ending, the ending fuked da whole movie ;D

Re: worst boxing movie ever
against the ropes? IMO
starring omar epps and meg ryan
-
Re: worst boxing movie ever
Gladiator was Awesome!!! Don't care what you guys say.
But the worst...... I didn't like "Annapolis."
Could have been so much better. Camera angles, pacing.
They could have shown MANY uknown techniques and information, details, stories. Slip of a punch, combinations.
Numerous counterpunches that shown on an And One mix tape. :)
But they did have one GREAT scene....
"Tyson once said,'Everybrowdy has a plwwan until dey get hit.'
Say what you will about Tyson, but thats the greatest thing anybody has ever said."

Re: worst boxing movie ever
"TOP OF THE HEAD, HARDEST PART OF THE BODY"

Against the ropes was mediocre, the character was nothing like James Toney though.
It's obvious what the all time worst boxing movie is, I cannot believe you guys haven't mentioned it:
MILLION DOLLAR BABY!!!!!!! :-X
Dear God that was a horrible, depressing, unrealistic crap fukin movie! I hate it witih a passion, and it did not deserve an Oscar, it didn't even deserve to be put in theatres. Horrible movie, just total waste of fukin time! >:mad

Re: worst boxing movie ever
the worst EVER boxing flick was this one i saw from the 80's it starred that actor who played BALKI from Perfect Strangers and he fought the actor who played NICK from Family Ties and they were both fighting for the undisputed middleweight champion belt i believe? anyway when the climatic fight actually happened at the end both fighters just danced around each other all 12 round cause they made a pact to intentionally score it a DRAW. i dont want to ruin the outcome and tell u what happens in the end but lets just say i was rather disapointed and pissed off. what a big let down. worst 2hours of my life.

Never heard of it, but based on Balki being a possible middleweight champ... Bad movie to me already.

Re: worst boxing movie ever
I didn’t like Diggstown mainly cause it put boxing in a bad light. Boxing don't need no help in that area , with all the over exaggerations and all. Hell this sport don't need that shit ! JMO

Re: worst boxing movie ever

Who cares man! Independent Cinema, low budget sci-fi effects, makeup artists, costum designs... haha I watched it as a kid and I loved it. :D

Cheap? Undisputed was the true story of how Mike Tyson got his ass kicked in an underground boxing match in prison by a vampire slaying, 170 lb man who cheats on his taxes! ;D

Re: worst boxing movie ever
I liked Against the Ropes.
The worst boxing movie I ever saw. I don't know, I haven't seen really bad ones :(

Rocky 5 and Gladiator which was ok until they put fat Brian Dennehy in some kind of leotard and had him fight at the end.

Re: worst boxing movie ever
millio dollar baby isnt that bad. i thought it was alright. my ex was crying her eyes out at the end though. ha ha.
the calcium kid is good for what it is. just a switch your brain off kinda movie. i'm suprosed its not on the tv this crimbo. the mele on the tele. awesome line.
did any one ever see 'homeboy' staring mickey rourke? its is a pretty painfully shity movie to watch. good idea for a flilm but it is a bit of a spunk film. even christopher walken is crap in it.

Re: worst boxing movie ever
I can't remember the name of the movie but it was with Louis Gossip Jr. The movie got so bad that at the end he had one a match and thought the night was ever but the announcer than addressed the crowd and said that that was not his only opponent and then another boxer came out the back to fight Louis. So he had back to back matches, CC who ever can tell me the title of this terrible movie.

Re: worst boxing movie ever
