you still boxing? kidding ya. ;) left hook high, right body/upper. or go over under like irish mickey.
Left hook body, left hook head, right cross head
Keep it varied... it's harder to dodge shots on the inside, especially if you are taller... so it comes down to blocking and parrying.
Mix it up, head and body... don't just flow left right left right...
I like to throw hard to the head to bring the guard up because my body shots are the hardest ;)
Left hook to the nose, straight right to the nose, double upper cut
to the nose, right cross to--------the nose, that shoud do it.
Ha haa, I like my nose to --- just joshin.
Don't really know the best inside combos, some of the ealier listed
ones sound like winners.
;D
hmmm..i usually block alot of the shots and try and time them, then hit them as they're about to punch as their bodies open
a good one tho is jus to throw left hook, right hook to the body as fast as i can moving up to their head and movin out of the way
Hands up sit down ,your knee under his bollocks from there you can by moving your feet have a feild day
If you're tight in the clinche it's not all that important about the combinations as much as it is about finding the windows. There's a beautiful little button on every person.....under the rib cage...right side of the body. push and see what happens. Make that liver quiver.

Left hook to body (hit them slightly low on the hip), right uppercut .......... fantastic, especially if he has turned his head to look at the ref or complain.
As always, correct me if I'm wrong guys. Take my advice with a grain of salt, as I just started this boxing stuff. Just learned this one tonight though, so I figured I'd throw it out there.
When clinched in tight, look for the opening to throw the right uppercut. Follow up quickly with the left hook and right cross. Spent some of my time sparring tonight trying to work on this combo, and I can see how it would work well.
Kinda off topic, but I didnt want to start a new thread.
What are some good outside fighter combos?
And,
Being an outside fighter, should you keep your ground, or give it up when it gets sticky?
Thanks
outside combos are easy
jab jab right
jab right jab right
jab right to the face and jab right to the body
basically long punches
Didnt think anyone was gonna say it. But I love the right uppercut, left hook combo. Gotta throw em real close together. If you can manage it, what THEORETICALLY happens if the uppercut will hit, lifting his head up for your left hook to catch square on the jaw. Follow up with a right cross as needed. Doesn't work often (its boxing....he's trying to not get hit and hit you as hard as you are trying), but when it does, it usually leads to an early night.
Other than that, I'm a big fan of a short jab, cross, followed by the left hook to the body for the liver shot. Hopefully you can keep his hands up there long enough to catch it.
Lesse....one that worked well recently was actually throwing a lot of left uppercuts to his body (3 or 4 in a row), then going with the good ole uppercut to the chin. Once again, something most people won't fall for (and I've always felt a bit awkward throwing "uppercuts" to the body), but its something worth trying every now and then hoping to catch him anticipating the body shot.
let those hand go. change it up... if you in tight and he is leaning in, shoot that upper cut .. a good uppercut will cash many checks ! ;) its the most under thrown punch , but one of the most effective when thrown correctly and thrown at the right time. it can short out the system of your opponent rather nicely , just don't shoot it from a long distance or you might end up looking up at the lights. ;) O0
it doesnt matter really if you pick open spots just pick your spotsand punch but perferbily throw hooks and upprecuts
i love it on the inside. i go in mixing up the hooks and upercuts, head and body. but i just smash anywhere really, arms, shoulders (sometimes low ooops), i'll get through with a few if i just let rip. but everyone always winges cos i could break my hands or fuck my wrists blah blah.
My favorite combonation is short left hook to the body, left hook to the head, and depending on my range a right uppercut or a short right.
A number of things i like about in fighting is trying to counter punches on the inside..
Punch lean away and come back with another..
Things like a short jab ..standing on the ball of your right foot..step right back and back in with a short left hook ..Then perhaps down to the body with another..
Love to counter.. i like punching while im safe.. slip and punch. lean away back in and punch.. Parry and over the top.. parry left hook body head.. Lovely stuff..
There's no set routine to what best combo's to throw.. it all depends on where the opponents head is positioned, how low of high their guard is. If they have a high guard I always bring it down with hooks to the body bringing the ribcage up, then land hooks to the head and if they have a fairly open guard a good upcut through their defence will always work. Make it hard and fast however to make the best use of the small amount of time between punches so they don't have chance to suck in air after that body shot ;)
If I was an Inside Fighter, I would not focus so much on what punches to throw in a set combination, as I would just trying to mix it up.
I would start off attacking the body with hooks to get the hands to drop down. Then I'd shoot a right uppercut as soon as he drops his hands down to protect the body. Then you can go off with Left Hooks and Crosses to the head.
I think if you lay your foundation with body punching, you'll have a good base to work off of, the head might move, but the body doesn't, and a good body puncher can really slow down a Outside Fighter with body punches.
Also look into shovel hooks, particularly the Left Body Shovel Hook. It hits the right side of an opponent's body, where the liver is located. The liver is protected by the ribs, but a good shovel hook hurts like hell and can go fighters.
