Golden Boy Promotions offers 50/50 split for MAB-Pacquaio on HBO PPV March 17

check the link, 50/50 purse split. Says they think they have promotional rights over Pac, and that if Pac doesn't accept this they'd insist on 75/25 for Barrera, as the champion, if it went to a purse bid. We'll see what happens I guess.

Manny Pacquiao, coming off his best year yet. Sounds right. Manny Pacquiao, the universally recognized champion at 130. Sounds great. Manny Pacquiao only getting 50/50 to fight a guy he already blasted away once??? Doesn't sound good at all. Manny should get 60/40 or 65/35 for that fight. No questions asked. Manny doesn't need MAB's belt and btw, MAB hasn't done shit as of late anyways except almost losing to Juarez in the first fight and boring the hell out of the crowd and PPV audience in the second fight. I told yall GBP is just a last ditch effort for MAB, Mosley, ODLH, and Barrera to make some big paychecks. What the fuck??? Manny should get the lionshare of any fight from 135 down. That's it. I don't care if it's still a big payday, it's a respect factor.

pac played boxing two biggest promotion...some people say he doesn't know how to handle thing outside the ring...but who else had two promotions after one fighter this much...it doesn't even matter wheather pac goes to top rank or goldenboy...he made top rank give him 1 million just for signing bonus after goldenboy gave up 500k...he gave that back but got double that...haha its so funny pac is just putting more $$$$ in his pocket because hbo is loving pac so either goldenboy or top rank has to make him fights...who ever pac wants his basically gonna get because hbo is gonna say so...
about mab getting 50/50 pac will not take that he has to atleast get 60/40 he already whoop mab and that abc title pac is not that interested in...I guess goldenboy is pissed about pac going to top rank that's why they offer 50/50...

I agree, if anybody deserves the majority share, its Pac, but I don't see him getting anymore than 60/40.

not exactly in this case, but its common in all things entertainment wise and sports wise, the Asians get the shaft son. jackie chan making 15million to chris tuckers 20million for rush hour. yao ming being the franchise yet he gets millions less(plus he has to share his paper with the country of China.) inchiro the only reason to even watch the mariners getting millions less. etc etc. none of the asian fighters even get love in the sport of boxing unless you a hard core educated fan. man thats why i was so Fin pissed when In Jin got injured and blew his HBO debut. :'(

yeah a part of me would actually want MAB vs JMM and the winner gets Pac. then another part of me wants Pac to fight MAB and then JMM in that order. hmmmmmmmm :-\
But........ Pac does already have a devistating win over MAB so it would make more sense to rematch JMM since that fight was ruled a draw.
But...... we all know Pac vs MAB would make way more cheddar than JMM.

When Manny's that high on the P4P list, the most exciting fighter in the world, and is the RING recognized champion at 130, nobody gives a shit about MAB holding a little trinket at 130. Plus, Manny already beat Barrera and it wasn't like Jermain and Winky were it was a draw so Winky wanting to get 50/50 for the second fight is conceivable, it was a fucking wipeout. MAB doesn't have any bargaining power IMO. If MAB wants to make one last big paycheck and truly get a rematch, he should go to Oscar and say he will accept a 60/40 split in Pac's favor and let's get this thing on.

Pacs last challenge for a world title was when he got skooled by Marquez . Since then he hasnt fought at world level . Instead he fought Mexicans coming off losses . Everytime Pac met Erik he was coming off a loss . He even lost 1 of those fights . So what if he's retired the old warhorse . Now its time to step up again and if he wants to start challenging for titles again then he has to be realistic and accept that Barrera is the man . Pac is the challenger and 50-50 is more than reasonable . If he wants more then he can look elsewhere or carry on fighting guys like Larios and Velasquez . Barrera can retire happy knowing Pac avoided him by pricing himself out

Dude, nobody gives a shit about the ABC's anymore. People who put too much emphasis on these ABC titles are killing boxing, there should be only one championship. Whoever the RING magazine says is champion is usually who deserves it because they sit down look at a fighter's record, the other contenders in the division, and they deliberate. Pac is the draw, PAC ALREADY BEAT MAB ONCE, PAC should get the lionshare. MAB hasn't done shit on PPV fighting Peden and Juarez. You're a fucking idiot if you ever think Pac is avoiding MAB.
