I doubt all four main belts will go to one man by then but maybe one or 2 guys will hold two each.
I thought they were going to be unified by 06?! It's been a messy year, with titles changing every fight! I expect Klitschko to have at least 2 of the belts by 07.
I expect Wlad to beat Maskaev or Brigg easily enough. I'm hoping Valuev can hold onto his belt long enough for a big unification showdown with Wlad.
Also it's not out of the question that the winner of Peter Toney will get another title shot this year probably against Maskaev, but you'd fancy both of them to beat Maksaev or Briggs if they fought.
I've got a feeling 2008 will start with Wlad and Valuev holding belts, along with either Peter or Toney.
to be honest id like to see some new fresh talent that are hungry and will train to the best of there abilitys but i dont see that happening for a while saldy >:mad
I agree. yeah wlads the best around but i think a few good fighters would make it interesting again.Quote:

Yeah Klit will grab either Maskaev's (WBC) or Briggs's (WBO) beltsQuote:

I'm not sure if Wlad will be able to "unify" without being stripped of one belt by the stupid sanctioning bodys, and I don't think he will be able to beat the 3 current paper champs within this year. I do think, at some point, he will be be the recognize, undisputed champ, even if the the WBMorons or IBFwookers manage to make the situation difficult. I think by spring of 2008, he will be the only real champ.
He's the only real champ now.
I think by the end of 07 Klit will be the IBF and WBC HWC and Valuev will be then WBA and WBO HWC with a total unification sometime in 08, to many belts, to many mandatories for someone to totally unify in 07 IMO + like someone said, to many new champions who wanna make a few bucks with a few easy defenses rather than growing a pair and trying to unify
Sure, in the based on his skill and recent performances, but he needs to clean up the division to be the unified, undisputed champ. He's not quite there yet. I'm guessing he does it by 2008.
All these mandatories are a joke. There really needs to be just one international boxing group.
hahaha :end:Quote:

Valuev is just a joke, I think that by the end of 07 people start excluding him from the group of 4 just because he doesn't fight anybody.
I agree with some of you guys,I would like to see some new blood here, someone fresh and young with alot of power and skill! Someone who just goes on a wreck, destroys all the champs in the division 1 by 1. Although we have some decent HW's,none of them are brilliant are they? For boxings most popular division, you need 1 true stand out fighter, and I don't see that right now.
08 is the year for new blood imo.
Povetkin, Witherspoon, Chambers (from what I hear), Greenberg (Israeli heavweight, good amatuer and is undefeated in the pros) all will make a splash in 08 imo.
I sooo hope you are right bro! Who looks best out of those guys in your opinion?Quote:

Good power in both hands, throws crisp punches, doesn't waste much, has real good punch selection. Only seen a few fights but he's definitely good. Only 10 fights and he's probably going to be sheltered in Europe for a while but he's good. If you can watch the Richard Bango fight, Bango was a silver medalist himself and fought Vaulev 2 fights before Povetkin and Povetkin completely overwhelmed him and ended up knocking him out cold.Quote:

I'm guessing by your recommendation of Greenberg that you havn't actually seen him fight? He looks awful, fat and out of shape, always struggling against bums and relying on his power to put them away.Quote:

here ya go Alexander Dimintrenko http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=79357Quote:

Hi last fight was against a 39 year part timer who was winning the fight until he got caught after 3 rounds. Before that he fought a guy who the commentators said Greenberg needed to look really good against in order for his career not to become stuck. Again he struggled for several rounds until his superior power came through.
For all the talk about his hand speed and boxing skills he looks really ordinary. Easy to hit, one dimensional, and recently he hasn't looked in the best condition.
Seeing as he fights out of the UK and represents Israel, who to my knowledge don't have any boxers, makes me want to see him do well but honestly he hasn't improved at all in 2 years.
Hopefully all these prospects actually turn out good then we might have the best heavy division in a while.
lol spot on! :coolclick: Greg.Quote:

I've got a fiver on Sprott beating Harrison, then taking the A-force's momentum and scoring a fight with Valuev. He seems to be the kind of opponent Valuev values.Quote:

keep an eye on ruslan chagaev, he just won a wba eliminator against ruiz and i think he has a good chance of knocking off valuev. he's a hard hitting southpaw that could give any of the champs problems.
I would say no.. maybe Wlad could do it? possibly Peter ??...but its going to take more then a year ! the thing is you got to have "sweepers"( good skilled fighters) . and then they need to be
" keepers" ... this generation of HW aint got no sweepers , and danm sure aint no keepers.. ;)
I think old Holyfield has a good chance at capturing a crown..I am hearing David Tua is finally getting serious now with the diet and work ethic. who knows it might get interesting? not because of this current crop however!
Down the road I like this kid " Chazz Witherspoon" ! He busy and lets them hands go.. and keeps that offense going/, now that’s what is needed at HW . 6"4 230 , skilled , conditioned athletes ! Hell that 33 year old Michael Alexander 6"2 208 lbs showed alot of heart when these 2 fought back when ! lots of punches in that fight ! good sustained offense. that’s whats needed ... I say put these kids on T.V and scrap those Tall slow , hugging , robotic giants.. they boring as all fuck, and are killing the HW division !
I'm not too big on Chazz Witherspoon. He's got very little power, and despite what others have said, IMO, is boring to watch. Seems like a nice guy. But no world beater.
What’s boring about him?? the guy throws tons of punches every round and don't clinch...as for power he sitting on his punches better now they working on that right now.. .. he need more T.V exposure ! the kid reminds me of a young Riddick Bowe. he fights well on the inside for a tall fighter , and good from the outside.. has a nice array of punches .. good arsenal... future champion Chazz Witherspoon ;)Quote:

He still learning no doubt, but he is getting better, and wants to fight... no clinching just constant punching.. that’s what’s it all about ! let them hands go.. he working on his power he have good speed ! everything is coming together nicely I think ! Witherspoon in the Maroon Trunks ! enjoy O0

If they united the heavyweight division then I would rank the fighters as such:
Champ - W. Klitschko
1. S. Peter
2. O. Maskaev
3. N. Valuev
4. James Toney
5. Lamon Brewster
