Valero Ready to face Pac

Edwin Valero disses Manny Pacquiao

Edwin Valero's popularity keeps rising in sensational fashion that could soon easily over take the spotlight on Manny Pacquiao. Also known as "Doug Fischer's Son," Valero's impressive record involving first round knock out victories is not something to take lightly.
Many insiders not only believe strongly that Valero would easily defeat Pacquiao, but Pacquiao is making excuses not to fight Valero because he is in fear of the extremly popular and heavy hitting Valero. Case in point,
earlier this week in Tokyo, Valero took only 72 seconds in scoring another impressive first-round knockout win. After his quick win, Valero took aim at Pacquiao and challenged him to a fight.
Valero made his intentions loud and clear, and dissed Pacquiao for being a cab driver type: "I want Manny next. I hope Arum is listening. I don't want to hear Manny a lot of excuses to fight me this time. If our fight will happen, he will realize that he too is a cab driver."
Valero, made the cab driver remark in reacting to an earlier comment made by Pacquiao. Pacquaio called Valero's opponents tricycle drivers and then went on to avoid Valero's past challenge.
Looks like Valero's Team changed their mind that they needed 3 more fight before facing Pacquio. They want the Macau fight after all. as long as Arum doesnt mess this up, Pac has a dance partner now. Somes getting Knockedout, i think who ever lands the clean shot 1st wins.

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
but seems like PAC doesnt want a piece of Valero. Honestly I'm a little disappointed with PAC right now :-\
I honestly would like to see PAC fight Valero and Guzman may be JMM and MAB for toppings then retire, but looks like PAC is going to the wrong direction.

Valero is not ready for PAC, it would be an entertaining fight, but one at this point he can't win IMO, PAC will smack him silly to a mid round KO. He has only fought 31 rounds and is now in his 5th year, most guys have that many rounds under their belt in 2-3 years.

i would say he needs it for guys like guzman, Mab or JMM but i dont really think he needs alot more experience against pac. Valero seems content to just go for the easy KO and with Pac his ganna get his chances.

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
you guys think his ready? well see for yourself
valero vs mosquera
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MPNmAg7_5E
the valero lozada fight was too short go to youtube if you want to watch it.
valero has not faced a man like pac, hes gonna eat punches from pac thats for sure. and pac faced a lot of thai boxers with the same style as valero.pac will just dodge a couple of punches then pound on valeros arse!

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
Here's the thing...it's painfully obvious that I aint a Pac-Fan...so I think that I can unbiased offer up a fairly decent arguement here.
#1: Valero does not yet deserve a shot at Pac.
#2: Pacquiao deserves a break. He's fought Larios & Morales back to back...& honestly...let him fight someone of lesser caliber.
There's no one out there worth really fighting other than Harrison, JMM, Barrera, & I guess Guzman...another one on who I aint 100% sold.
Pac's doing fine.

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
At first I taught Valero was not ready for Pac, but after watching a couple of his fights (not much to look at) I think Valero chances against Pac are pretty good. Mainly cuz he looks a lot bigger than Pac. Valero has been at 130 is whole career. Pac has only been there for 5 fights. 3 were against the same fighter (Morales) and 1 against a fighter who moved up two weight classes to face him (Larios). Pac has a lot more championship experience than Valero. But I doubt that will bother Valero. Valero did go into Panama and beat Vincente Mosquera in front of a very hostile crowd. Both fighter love to come forward. So it should be bombs away from the start. Can Pac take the shots from the bigger Valero? That's the one big question that will decide the outcome of this fight. He took Morales and Marquez punches. But those guys are not natural 130 fighters. Valero is. I haven't decided on a outcome yet. But Valero's chances are not as bad as I originally taught.
-
Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
It's obviously to soon to sing the high praises of Valero...he hasn't fought enough and more importantly he hasn't fought game opponents. However, there is no denying he has KO power. The only reason i wouldn't completely dismiss him against Pac, is because Pac's style allows him to get hit...and i'm not sure if Pac could take huge punch from a naturally bigger guy with big power. But most likely, Pac's speed and experience would easily prevail.

Good assessment, I completely agree, But I really think Valero would knock him out.

Valero is not ready for Pac and there are bigger fish to fry for him...I don't think Pac fears anyone...Though ( and this is some inside limited info) I understand Pac turned down an offer of 5 million to fight Cassamor and Cassamayor offered to move down to Pac's weight?....Never know

That was a smart move. Casamayor would destroy Pac

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
It is better for Pac to fight Valero now while he is still sort of green
-
Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
I'm one of the biggest Valero fans here but no way should he fight Manny now. His stamina is questionable,he does not box like he can and it would be a HUGE jump in class...but
He is the biggest fighter Pac's faced,V nom is MASSIVE for a 130 pounder,he hits much harder than anyone Pac has faced and is young and hungry. If Valero waits, gains more experoence, may be fights someone like Juarez, see how he goes, thenI think he will be ready. Not yet though,NO WAY! He would be dangerous for 3-4 rounds, would wait to get his wind back and Manny would KTFO Valero in the middle/later rounds. However,Morales,JMM have shaken Pac to his boots,Valero hits much much harder than them both.

Yeah for some reason Joel does not like him?...While I weas interviewing him before the Corrales fight all he kept talking about is Pac?....He would answer a question the go into some remarks about Diego the wander off to Calling Pacquiao every name in the book and then some....None I could put in print though ::**

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
daxxkahn, you interviewed casamayor? that's kool mann, I think its because casamayor always wanted the style of career pac has now that's why.
but about valero vs pac, after k.oing another unknown fighter I am surely not sold on valero. so his calling out pacman now huh think his mister big shot, I`m not impress at all because what valero has done to the very weak oppenents he has I bet pac will do the same if not worst.
valero being a naturally bigger fighter I think will look good for pac after pac ends his hype, I have been saying valero should wait but since his talking shyt I hope pac grants him his wish and punish him soon, but I think its better for valeros career to wait til next year atleast because it`ll be a better fight then now.
valero may end up like vargas all the hype but once in with the elite hype over.
wow that article is sure making it seems pac is actually afraid of valero. I think once the philippines media starts looking at valero, pacman will tune in to valeros challenge and valero needs to be carefull with what he wish for.

Vincent Mosquera was is not a weak fighter. He was a very underrated fighter. That fact that Valero beat him in his own backyard was impressive. Your focusing to much on Valero's opponents. You need to look at his size and power. As well as Pac's tendency to get hit.

If Klassen is being given a chance then why not Valero, I do think that with Valero's record alone proves that he is more worthy plus he's a WBO champ. I do think that Valero is not that green either I remember when PAC fought Barrera he was 24 years old.

right on the button bro. PAC is highly hittable + VALERO is knockout king = :-X
Sad to say but If PAC doesnt fight this guy this is what most people will be thinking.

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
Valero has a talent to improve. Has a great power but seem slow for Pac yet. Valero can sure be an impact boxer in future. But now, IMO theres no way he can beat Pac.

:coolclick: Humble.
Fair enough. Maybe he does deserve a shot. Maybe I'm just being a bit too harsh.
I really really want Valero to do a bit more building of his image...I suppose if someone like Velazquez or that Fahsan 3K Battery cat got their chance...Valero has the right.

Thanks Wacko cc you back!!! Honestly I'm also scared of Valero getting more time to improve :-[ He is already a threat imagine what a few more years can do :'( PAC is in grave danger if he let's this monster peak.

I think we do have to look at his oppenent. since people has been saying how he has been k.oing guys. we have to look at how commited and good the oppenents were.
Vincent Mosquera is valeros one and only decent oppenent. and vincent drop valero and took valero to ten rounds. people are saying pac is hittable and will just get k.o... valero is hittable too and hasn't prove he can take a big punch and pac has proven to take huge punches and keeps coming.
I hope to see valero get some better oppenent atleast someone we heard of already. maybe he really has power but how much power really? If his power is being overrated he will be in deep trouble for any elite. bums aren't as condition aren't as committed and they`re chins and legs fold much easier. I want to see valero demostrate his power against a very condition committed fighter for sure it will last more then 1 round just like vincent fight valero himself can get vulnerable to getting k.oed in the championship rounds.
a fight with pac can totally bring valero to the top or it can bring him to the bottom of death valley. is it wiser to just after 21 fights step up to the very best in the division and rely on his power and hope to k.o pac but is risking himself to get k.oed too...or valero can perfect his game allow the other contender weaken pac then dethrone him. I think he should take the wiser road, because right now pac will ruin him if he steps up.
but to be a selfish fan haha I would love to see this fight right now! but I think its wiser for valero to take his time perfecting his game then just risk it all and rely on a k.o that may turn on him.

What you not understanding is that Pac's token shot from guys his size or smaller. This guy is naturally bigger. His power looks to be real. Taking shots from this guy will be a lot different. And normally it wouldn't be wise for some one with only 21 fights to fight someone on Pac's level. But this is a little different. For two reasons. First of all Valero going into Mosquera's backyard in front of a hostile crowd is huge. Look at the fight. That was a rowdy ass crowd. Valero won't be over-whelmed in a pro Pac environment. And second of all Pac ain't no boxer. He's a puncher. No matter what he says his main purpose is looking for the knock out. And that is what gives Valero his chance. His only chance. Let's be realistic here. Valero is as ready as he's going to get. He's not going to learn anything else. His game is power and that's it. He ain't going to learn how to box and he ain't going to become no defensive wizard. He's one-dimensional and he's going to stay that way. Fighting better fighters than he already has ain't going to do much but put him at risk of losing. And that can't happen. Valero needs to stay undefeated to make a fight with Pac huge. If he loses than it's over for him. That's why this fight needs to happen now.

That was a rowdy a** crowd.
I hope you're right that Valero is not going to evolve into a boxer-puncher or defensive counterpuncher of some sort with already superhuman punching power. He is already a handfull as it is.

but about valero vs pac, after k.oing another unknown fighter I am surely not sold on valero. so his calling out pacman now huh think his mister big shot, I`m not impress at all because what valero has done to the very weak oppenents he has I bet pac will do the same if not worst.
valero being a naturally bigger fighter I think will look good for pac after pac ends his hype, I have been saying valero should wait but since his talking shyt I hope pac grants him his wish and punish him soon, but I think its better for valeros career to wait til next year atleast because it`ll be a better fight then now.
valero may end up like vargas all the hype but once in with the elite hype over.
wow that article is sure making it seems pac is actually afraid of valero.

Valero's is as one-dimensional as they come. It's just that one dimension is a hurtful dimension.

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
Gotta disagree Violent Demise, I think Valero can improve and can get better. Don't know if you know this but Ricardo Lopez, JMM, R.Marquez, Gilberto Roman and many others moved and or trained for the most part or at one point of their careers in Japan. Once they made those moves they improved in their skills and they're careers shot straight up. The name of the gym they all wen't to leaves my mind right now. If I remember I'll post it. But yeah! I think Valero can get better and he should wait.....

VD you right on the money, as you are most of the time. I would love to see Valero fight Pac asap. Valero is to get too confident in his ability just to go out there and knock the f**k out of his opponent. That will eventually come back and bite him in the ass. But as of now he has the fire AND the desire and his style vs. Pac's would be a whole lot of fireworks. Valero has speed and he's got more natural power than pac.
Valero would be a huge underdog against Pac and I would be placing my money on valero for a glorious upset KO. And I would be making about %300 percent back after valero wins.

i agree. valero can definitely still improve. if he faces pac now he'll just get exposed. if valero could get one or two wins against opponents who's names are not obscure, then a fight with the pac would be a lot bigger than if the fight happens now.

Valero is not ready for Pac and there are bigger fish to fry for him...I don't think Pac fears anyone...Though ( and this is some inside limited info) I understand Pac turned down an offer of 5 million to fight Cassamor and Cassamayor offered to move down to Pac's weight?....Never know
If I remember right, that was the time when Pac was planning to go up from 126 to 130 and when there was negotiation to fight Morales (the first fight). Casamayor offered to come down to 130 from 135 to fight Pac but Freddie Roach immediately dismissed the idea as being plain stupid. But when Pac KO'd Morales in the second fight, Casamayor dismissed Pac as being too small for him and offered to fight Barrera instead. Strangely, that was almost the same reaction Barrios had at that time dismissing Pac and saying that Barrera is a much worthy opponent. I wonder why??? ??? ??? ??? ;D ;D ;D

Casamayor dismissed Pac cuz Roach had already said Casamayor was to big. He knew Pac would get murder by Casamayor, which is why he consider the taught of them fighting as stupid

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
I really want to see this fight happen now, pac is gonna k.o valero I can't wait for pac to end valeros overrated hype.
hopefully pac gives him a turn on a ass whooping, pac has so many possible oppenent to whoop. I am willing to 4get jmm for a while and guzman so pac can put a stop to this bullshit about valeros power. bums after another bum, its so funny people obsess with valero k.oing bums, but its already proven he gets one decent fight he himself gets drop by vincent valeros only oppenent we can all agree is decent. and he got took deep.
I seen him, valero aint got shit pac is gonna fuck him up. pac got real proven power one lands valero is out. I won't be surprise valeros power won't even look as hard against elite levels.
valero is OVERATTED OVER HYPE!
PAC WILL DESTROY HIM! his style is perfect for pacs hooks and quick straights.
WE CAN ALL AGREE VALEROS CHIN IS WEAKER AND PACS POWER IS PROVEN. valero is just hype against BUMS.
pac wins by k.o round 2.
if valero fights jmm guzman or mab
jmm wins via k.o by 6th
guzman win by u.d
mab wins by 10th round.
valeros is WEAK! he aint shit against the elite.
what a weak ass seeing him is so stupid people actually trying to hype him up. his gonna get punish by the elites.

How is Valero's chin weak? Pac's power is proven against fighters his size or smaller. He's never fought at natural 130 like Valero. Punches don't have the same affect against bigger fighters. I'm pretty sure you can agree with that. I'm not saying Valero is going to win. I'm just saying he has a better chance than you and a lot of people think. Him winning will not surprise me.

The guy Pacquiao fought before the Morales second fight, wasn't he the naturally bigger guy who hadn't been stopped?[

exactly valezquez is a naturally bigger guy than pac and pac took him out in 6th while pac practice his right hooks on him.
pac since the mab fight has never been naturally bigger then any of his oppenents. maybe only 3k battery because his shorter then pac. larios move up in weight but he walks around heavier then pac without a upcoming fight. pac has always prove that he has power against heavier guys. he spars and knock around welters up to middleweights plus pac is around 140 come fight night and during sparring and training before draining he sticks around to 140 like a welterweight. valero is not much bigger then pac and I said his chin is weaker then pac because vincent drop valero and pac jmm mab even guzman has more power then vincent and vincent doesn't have the same speed. and that vincent fight was just a few months ago.
you said punches don't have the same affect on bigger guys, but pac is known to drop a middleweight in sparring. and what you should keep in mind is that punches don't have same affect on elites, they are more hungry committed and conditioned meaning chins are stronger legs last longer and they don't just roll over and fold for pay day like the bums valero has been k.oing in the first round. all of those guys valero k.oed pac will k.o too or even worst pac may practice his hooks or whatever he wants to do before finishing them. valero hasn't proved shit. pac will knock him out back to silent ville. his hype is getting too annoying he don't even look at all special. he doesn't have nothing but a hype unproven power.
he steps up his oppenents his gonna get expose vincent a only decent guy almost already did.
valero probubly just want pac to get a big pay day. so funny like when larios was saying he wants a rematch.

Come on Jumount, Velazquez came in with 10 losses and had been stopped 4 times in his career. Real impressive. And how you going to compare sparring with actual fighting. It's not the same thing. The fact that he's dropping middleweights in sparring don't mean shit. It's not like those middleweights are Jermain Taylor, Winky Wright, Ike Quartey or some other big name. Him dropping Raul Frank, Robert Frazier or some other bum middleweight don't impress me. Valero getting dropped by Mosquera don't mean he has a weak chin. Mosquera is a very good fighter. And his power is underrated. Go look at his fight against Yodsanan Nanthachi. In which he dropped the iron jawed Thai 3 times. You'll see he has good power. Bottom line is this. Valero can't fight. He has no head movement. His defense sucks. And he seems to over-commit on his punches. But he can hit. He has outstanding power. And that combined with the fact that Pac ain't to hard to hit gives him a chance. Rather you won't to admit it or not.

Re: Valero Ready to face Pac
Demise, I dont think his issue is going to be throwing, I think his issue is going to be getting countered and beaten to the punch by Pacquiao, he always will have a one punch chance, but Pacquiao could afford a mistake against him, he can't afford any against Manny
