:dontknow: I still don't get it, is that all? So far the only bad things I've seen from him are that incident and the low blow of Mayweather that I thought was bad but I don't hate him or call him a turd or anything :dontknow:

Well, if every fighter acted like a total cock after losing a fight where would the sport be?
If what he did doesnt seem too bad to you thats fair enough I wont knock you for it ;) Just my opinion on it

Not when you've seen true riots and ref's getting beat up by fighters because of a simple thing as "too much holding". I can understand acting like a cock after losing a fight, some people act like a cock after winning, so I can understand why you can act bad after a loss, what matters is if you do it after every loss. Zab Judah had a close loss to Baldomir but he didn't go on a riot or a tangent about being robbed, all he said was he had a fucked up promoter(Don King) and I agree on that ;) But his dad was actually the one going off which is what I would have expected Zab to do. So I think it was that one time against Tszyu he reacted the way he did. And ref's are trained in this especially when they stop a fight how a fighter may react, just because zab did it I don't take anything away from him other then that moment and I feel like he could have handled it better.
But I don't see it as, as bad a thing as people make it out to be, not to the point I'd hate him or call him a turd or something :dontknow: You get me?
-
Re: Zab Judah ready for a ring return. Oh bwoy.
I don't see why anyone would be completely uninterested in his return and yet call themselves a true boxing fan... Your telling me that Zab Judah doesn't have anything to offer the welterweight division? NO interesting matchups he could be in out there? BS... Zab vs Mosley, Cotto, Collazo, Cintron, Williams, Hatton, Margarito, all great fights that would do alot to clear things up. I get that he's a prick but he's a damn talented fighter, and just because he does have a tendency to lose focus doesn't mean he isn't capable of keeping it together for long enough to let his ability win him some fights.. In fact I'd favour him over just about anyone but Floyd if he could come in the same shape that he did vs Mayweather..

Imagine yourself fighting and training hard for years and you finally get you chance. You dominate the first round and rock your opponent. Next round, you get caught and the ref doesn't give you at least an 8 second count to see if you can recover enough to defend yourself and survive the round. Put yourself in his shoes. Not that he should have done it but you have to understand the sacrifice that comes with training for a fight, let alone a career. Right afterward, Tzyu said he wasn't going to give Zab a rematch which told me he knew it was too dangerous. He was quick to give Mitchell a rematch though. The thing about him that really turns me off is that he doesn't take every opponent seriously and that has hindered his career in a bad way. Imagine if he had 4 or 5 more rounds like 1-4 against Floyd.
-
Re: Zab Judah ready for a ring return. Oh bwoy.
Nady did the right thing. Zab was out of it that has been long established.
Zab is just to damn inconsistent for me to be excited. For every Corey Spinks II there is a Rafael Pineda. Eh really, I talked myself all out of Judah leading up to the PBF fight, His mind aint right. And he's not even THAT good. I mean he has good speed and pop but a very subpar defense and he isn't right around the edges. You can hit him with the straight right whenever you want basically, he has a very bad transistion game, doesn't get inside/outside very well without getting hit. I mean he has speed and pop. About it. He's a fairly decent championship level fighter in terms of skill, add the inconsistency and...I don't care. I would definitely watch him fight, but don't think it effects the big picture much.

Look mate, if Nady let him fight on and Judah got hurt again, had serious brain injury as a result, people would slate him for it to this very day and he would probably not even be a referee anymore. Yes I would be upset if i was Zab but the thing is he did not even seem to remember half of it because he was almost knocked out while he got up and had a dance. Kostya NEVER said he would not give Zab a re-match. Zab said before the fight "winner takes all" which Kostya repeated after the fight when asked by that spaz with a microphone.

Then why blame him as if he did anything wrong? In the post fight interview he didn't even seem to remember throwing the tantrum and the person interviewing him had to fill in some of the blanks. I don't remember this clearly but I think it was, if anyone has the post fight interview could you put it up or something?

Are you thick as a brick? No he does not remember almost getting the head knocked off of him because he was half knocked out. He was however totally recovered when he stuffed his fist into jay nady's throat and threw a stool accross the ring.

Re: Zab Judah ready for a ring return. Oh bwoy.
He wasted so much.. He could have been PBF with a punch, but he wasn't disciplined enough... He only came in, in top shape for one fight that I've seen and that was against PBF, and he still became an ass when PBF figured his style out. I think he had the wrong trainer in his dad, and he suffered for it.

Had all the talent in the world mate and it's quite sad he never had the mentality to make the most of it.

I think he would be good to go back to Ronnie Shields. But Zab is grown, he could get a new trainer but would he listen?

As much as I dislike him (and really dislike him), I still enjoyed his rematch against Spinks and his performance against Micky Ward, and he did himself proud for the first 3 rounds against Mayweather.

Boxingtalk say April 27 in the Desoto Civic Centre MS. Opponent to be named. The name I heard was Hector Camacho Jnr, should be an easy night, although so should have been Baldomir ;D

Totally disagree. Just because he hung in there for 3 maybe 4 rounds doesn't mean that he wouldv'e or couldv'e won.

He had the ability not sure he does now though after his last couple of defeats,I think there is about 4 fighters at 147 that beat him and ko him bad.

Re: Zab Judah ready for a ring return. Oh bwoy.
True he had some ability, but nowhere near as much as he believed himself to have!!! The physical side is only half of what is required to be a great. Look at all the great fighters through the years and look at their training commitment. It would be a nightmare to try and train Zab. Also the main reason I dislike him is for his attitude and mouth outside the ring. If he could only back up half of what he talks then he would have a run at being the greatest P4P of all time.
Case in point: look at the interview he gave with "His Homeboys" before the Baldomir fight. His father added a contribution as well. It was totally disrespectful to another fighter, even if he was several leagues below him. But then to go and loose to him?!? For someone who got comprehensively beaten by 3 fighters he still talks a huge amount of sh*t before fights.
Typical bully, likes beating up on people who are a lot lower than him, but can't perform when the field is equal and go on to make excuses/throw tantrums/resort to dirty tactics when things go against him.
PBF may be arrogant and talk big, but he works damn hard in training to make sure that he can back it up. That means that it isn't arrogance but confidence.
-
Re: Zab Judah ready for a ring return. Oh bwoy.
I know it's fashionable to bash Zab, and yes, he is a headcase.
But he's still a very talented fighter who could beat plenty of the contenders at 147.
He can't beat Mayweather, but an in-shape Judah could give someone like Margarito hell.
-
Re: Zab Judah ready for a ring return. Oh bwoy.
I'm probably in the minority of 2 (me and Sal) who actually like Zab Judah. He always reminds me of one of those troubled black youth's with a chip on their shoulder that you see in so many Hollywood movies, you know the cocky little shit who is full of hate and anger until Samuel Jackson comes along and shows him the right path, and then he redeems himself and becomes a model citizen.
He's exciting in the ring I don't care what anyone says and he does have the tools to reassert himself in the weltwerweight division.
Lets not forget it was only a little over a year ago that Zab was the undisputed man to beat in the welterweight division.
I'd personally love to see him come back and have a shot at redeeming himself.
Good luck to him, no matter what all the haters may say 8)

Not with the glass chin IMO.

Obviously Zab got knocked out by Tszyu, and was wobbled badly by Baldomir, but glass chin may go a little far.
The big thing is speed. Margarito looked slow as hell against Clottey, and Clottey is nowhere near as fast as Zab.
Zab could give Margarito fits with his hand/foot speed. Zab may have chin issues, but I don't see Margarito as the destructive puncher people make him out to be.

You can add me to that list of Zab fans.

The main reason I think people don't care about him , is he got that thug mentality, He comes off on T.V as a punk ass bitch dog. ! Now if you gonna come off hard with all that verbiage , You better have some lead in your pencil... another words you can't go out there and get you ass tap danced on. You gonna talk tuff guy shit, you gotta walk it .
Also His work ethic is spotty .. he train hard for this fight,, fuck off the next fight. he's a head job ! . Zab do have natural ability. and once upon a time he had desire. Just my opinion O0

He can't beat Mayweather, but an in-shape Judah could give someone like Margarito hell.
Until Margarito touch that judah chin.. Zab aint got the stamina to do the things he need to do against Margarito.. Tony is as slow as cold Syrup no doubt, but he is consistent with that aggression.. just matter of time and Zab would be doing that dance he do. ;)
