Try these...they won't be the MOST exciting ever...but these are some of my favorites of recent date.Quote:

Here's a few older fights you should check out: Hagler vs Hearns, Leonard vs Hagler, & Foreman vs Frazier I.
My personal favorites are
1) Castillo-Corralles the first
I was doing my laundry that day and at the same time watching tv. I was jumping from the floor to the ceiling eversince the 1st round and literally. It was a blood and guts type of fight, I say better than Gatti-Ward. The ending was even better. I was such a good exciting fight
2) Pac-Morales 2
Pac pumped up the volume and the whole pinoy crowd that I was with just went monekys ga gag gaaa in that 10th round. I loved that fight and I still watch it every single day on my computer.
Castillo vs Corrales I was a good fight.Quote:

No I didn't like it because Manny lost. Hehe. I was crying and got myself drunk.
Manny-Morales 3 :
This fight caused me to lose my job. They wouldnt allow me to excuse myself from work on a Sunday morning so I never went to work. Im still unemployed up to this day...

Corrales Castillo I say is the best ever that I have seen on TV. Pure action and drama. My brother even hit me in the head for being so noisy while watching the fight. He doesnt like screaming and jumping around. But I knew he was thrilled watching that fight tooo

Atleast your'e honest. It was a worthy defeat. I'll bet that you really hated the Singsurat match then. That was a shocker.Quote:

Heh heh heh. Funny thing about that fight...generally, after the first few rounds, most boxing fans can pick who's going to pull it out...who's going to come out on top of the bout...I had no clue.Quote:

Pretty crazy...but it was a fight that honestly...I can say was fun to watch.
Manny wasn't making the frontpage then. But he sure was already making the sports page headline. I remember people wrote him off as lazy and undisciplined. I felt really bad with that fight. I thought he was strong enough for singsurat. They played the fight on a delayed basis. Never bothered to watch it. I head of the news a few hours ago. I sure did follow his career. I met him once and he was very humble. But not these days, you'd get punched in the stomach or elbow if you go very near manny by his bodyguardsQuote:

I was rooting for Chico honestly. But I was changing sides from time to time from chico to castillo to castillo chico whoever lands a good one. When Chico went down the 1st time, I thought OOhh this is over. It was such a good shot that Castillo landed. Chico got up and went down again. I thought it was really over. For some reason tho Chico still got his senses and was spitting his mouthpiece. I was just waiting for Chico to get knocked cold when he landed a really good shot and suddenly the fight over turned! God damn. Truly truly exciting fight. I love fight. I love talking about that fight.
I'd pretty much recommend any fight of the year by ring, they always pick the right one.Quote:

Still cant believe Benn won that one after spending most of 1st round on the canvas
Matthew Saad Muhammad -v- Yaqui Lopez 2 (1980) is the most exciting fight for me. O0
Most fights involving Saad between 1977 & 1982 could qualify; he was a very exciting fighter to watch. :appl:
I second that. The first Barrera/Morales fight was an absolute stormer.Quote:

some of the fights especially calzaghe vs lacy may have seemed more exciting at the first watching of it as i wanted calzaghe to win and he was the underdog and he put in such a good performance
That fight will never be equalledQuote:

Lewis vs Briggs - Big men and big punches being thrown
Cotto vs Torres - Class action all the way
Casamayor - Chico 1 - Knockdowns both sides
Thompson vs Rothman - Back from the brink of defeat
There have been too many to say which fight is the most esciting ever but...Try the Gatti/Ward trilogy....Any other Gatti fight....Ward/Augustas....
Another really good old fight Pryor vs Arguello. It was an amazing fight.
This fight was just insane. It went 14 rounds & ended by TKO but with a very controversial back story. Ring Magazine gave it the "Fight Of The Year" award and then it was dubbed as the "Fight Of The Decade" & that's a pretty big double whammy for a fight.
The controversy was over Pryor's trainer bringing in a black water bottle...a second bottle that Panama Lewis (a shady trainer who has since been banned) called "the bottle I mixed". Anyways, after drinking from the bottle, with lord only knows what was in it, Pryor came out swinging & how. He ended up winning by TKO.
It's a good one...controversy or not...by the controversy was pretty interesting. Never figured out was actually in the bottle.
Ali Frazier 1 and 3
Barerra Morales,all 3 fights
Manny Pacquiao Erik Morales 1 and 3.
Rafael Bazooka Limon v Bobby Chacon(probably top 3 for me,amazing)
Archie Moore v Yvonne Durelle(can't remember which one it was, when one of them was knocked down 3 times but got back up to win)
Castillo v Corrales 1(probably the best one)
Pryor-Arguello1
Hagler Hearns
Hearns v Leonard was boxing at it's finest.
George Foreman v Lyle
Meldrick Taylor v Julio Cesar Chavez
Sal Sanchez v Wilfredo Gomez
Michael Carbajal v Humberto Gonzalez
Tony Zale v Graziano
Felix Trinidad-Ricardo Mayorga.
the most brutal fight I have ever seen is Jack Demspey v Jess Williard I think. 8 knockdowns in 1 round, teeth knocked out, broken bones, blood everywhere!1919,great fight.
It depends which kind of fights you are looking for, wars, technical masterpieces, amazing 1 man shows, incredible knockouts. Personally,I love all the mentioned type of fights. If you tell me which ones specifically,we can help even more. Especially as you though De La Hoya Mayorga and Judah PBF were good,I 'd say the above list would excite BIG TIME!"!
I didn't look too far through this thread, but I was suprised that I didn't see Pacquiao vs. Marquez.Quote:
