has to be wladimir right hand or even his old brother who won every fight by knock out, except for 1 but that fight was straight after the byrd fight as klitschko took it easy against hoffman to not risk another shoulder injury, but still hoffman has not been knocked out since this day

My man tito has to be up there... specially at 147...
Obviously honourable mentions to fighters like Nigel benn, Jackson and hearns at welter...
Yeah - some devastating punchers already named.
How about Bob Foster at light-heavy, he could really take you out with just one punch.
Pound for pound???...Depends on what kind of puncher?....There are guys with one punch KO power who can only muster up the power when delivering that shot or guys who hurt with every punch.....
I like alot of the guys ive seen over the years at the very light weights ..
Bantam and flyweights and such...I wouldnt go picking who is the best..
But ive seen some really brutal one punch ko's at bantamweight...
There was this one guy who i think was called georgie smith from west ham a fair few years back...
A good entertaining fighter in england... Right cocky little bugger..But boy it seemed like most of his fights he would hit his opponent with unorthadox right hands that his opponents never saw coming...
The sort of punches where they were sparked before they hit the ground..Fell face first.
Think they called him st georgie...
Peace
here are some id like to mention
jimmy wilde
wilfredo gomez
earnie shavers
felix trinidad
george foreman
rocky marciano
julian jackson
g man
nigel benn
thomas hearns
mike tyson
and some others who hit hard
frank bruno
razor ruddock tyson said his punches were like getting kicked by a mule
tommy morrison
naz
Julien Jackson
Naseem Hamed
Ernie Shavers
Thomas Hearns
Ron Lyle
A lot of great hitters mentioned above...
I agree 100% with shavers
Would have to add that I believe Thomas Hearns should be MUCH higher on most lists...
Joe Frazier, I have never seen any fighter take his left hook flush and remain standing...just read Foreman's and Chuvalo's comments on the Frazier hook...
no mention of Liston?...guess I just did
Gerry Cooney, certainly not a great but he had ridiculous power in his prime...
Wasnt frazier a bit of a freak of nature after having broken his left arm as a child and never had it fixed..
So apparently his arm set strongly in a wierd shape and thats why smokin joe was so great with his left hook..Because it came from such an obscure angle from which he also bent down and used his entire body to put power into the punch...Great technique to it...
It was a beautiful punch when he threw it and one that Joe took great pride in...Quote:

Lol off topic ..But very interesting ;) :P cc!Quote:

Hed already beaten the welter and middleweight champs in non Title fights Billy Con didnt want to know. So he had to put food on the table, I love this qoute from Archie Moore. People ask me who was the best fighter you ever met I tell them Rocky Marciano because thats what they want to hear. Hell he beat me when I was 42 and I gave him a great battle. Charley Burley was the best, he beat me in my prime Burley gave me a Boxing lesson

Satterfield. Saw him up close and in person. Holy s---! When he missed, his opponent was staggered. Also, a guy out Chicago by the name of Box Foxworth. And also, Jeff "Candy Slim" Merritt.
nice list :coolclick: #307 O0Quote:

Exactly.. Gatti is another case of a guy moving up and not looking as good.. I agree. gatti at 130 135 was terrific fighter ! :coolclick:#247 One of the main reason I am glad Ricky is staying at Jr Welterweight.. that’s his best weight, why move up and look bad??? stupid people talking about Ricky moving up to higher weight.. It's not in his best interest to do so.. plenty of talent at 140.. Kostya Tszyu stayed at 140 his entire career .Quote:

Yehh im starting to think that these multiple weight champs are overrated.. Multiple weight champs who are winning and dropping titles like nothing and yet theres no divisions getting unified...
Gatti had some real power down low although he did suffer some losses there..He wasnt untouchable..
But thats where he made his name.. It was a shame to see him somewhat humiliated at the higher weights where he couldnt shine as bright...
Also i always found it a shame that arturo didnt box more often.. I was often amazed how arturo could start of a fight using his jab and he looked very good at times..
I like hatton's chances of becoming undisputed at light welter should he get past castillo...
I like a unified champ.. Only problem with that is having to take all the mandatories like bhop did..
Then they get criticised for taking the mandatories..
Peace
Remember the Australian middleweight Les Darcy now he was a puncher, died young could have been an ATG.

He raised all their hopes...
Every Saturday night
Australia's bonny boy
Would fight for the crowd.
He fought in the fairground sideshows
And the crowds all roared for more
He won his buckles in the big time
On that Sydney Stadium floor
He beat the finest fighters
They sent from across the world
And all the papers said he might be
Champion of the world ...
Every Saturday night
Australia's bonny boy
Would fight for the crowd.
The bugles blew in Nineteen-fourteen
But he was too young to serve
The papers said his country called him
White feathers tried his nerve.
The night before he came of age,
Les Darcy stowed away
On a rusty tramp out of Newcastle
Bound for the USA ...
On that Saturday night
Australia's bonny boy
Cried for the crowd.
All the big-time American promoters
Said they'd put him in the champions' ring
But the papers called him 'coward'
Only Vaudeville fights to win.
So he joined the US Army;
A Yankee fighter he had to be.
Broke his heart while he was training
Way down in Tennessee ...
On that Saturday night
Australia's bonny boy
Died for the crowd.
They shipped his body home with honour
A headline hero young and brave
Thousands walked behind his casket
To one more martyr's grave.
His name was Les Darcy
He lies in Maitland's ground
Colder than the hearts who floored him
But his legend won't stay down ...
Every Saturday night
Australia's bonny boy
Fights...
Cries...
Dies
For the crowd.
cheers mate ! ;) :beerchug:
