Calzaghe, Hatton, and Castillo prove absolutely nothing by winning these upcoming fights. They're supposed to win.Quote:

Mayweather proves he can beat top-notch opponents even at weights above his natural weight, and cements his title of #1 PFP.
To be honest I wouldnt do cartwheels over any of them, all of them should win IMO.
Obviously all the kudos will go to Mayweather and rightly so because there is more risk involved in his fight.
That's pretty much how I see it too, except I need to see how ODLH performs before I judge this, if he shows ring rust and his age starts showing I can't give PBF as much credit, but if ODLH is on his game I will leave PBF as p4p #1.Quote:

If joe beats manfredo..Well ..so what.. Joe is in the league to stop manfredo early...But i bet he doesnt..But he better put on a show..And peter better be game.. Then joe needs the fights that'll secure him at the top.
Hatton should be urango comfortably.. Ive seen weakness in the iron twins style.. And in comparison it looks like a cake walk for ricky..But i think it was atlas who said..Beware those easy nights..You say its easy..Oh yeh?.. lol... But i can totally understand taking the fight because of the sentimental value of the ibf title and it bieng ricky that is the challenger...
And ricky is one of the selection of people who i believe when he says he'll have this fight..He'll go get it.
Castillo needs the win so that he can get hatton... A very big fight, the fight alone will add to his legacy..as far as i know Is castillo's opponent is a fairly unexperianced yet undefeated prospect..
Obv not a protected prospect though..Which is the downside for castillo in the bout...
The guy has already beat augustus a couple of fights ago..Thats pretty early for that fight somewhere around 12th fight..And he's fighting castillo now...So there absolutely must be something about this kid since theyr throwing him in the deep end and they must have confidence in him..
Valuev...A name on his list.. a new test for nik..He'll prob get as much credit as he deserves for the fight..Which will be mediocre..Depending on his showing..
Nobody will mind as long as they are confident val will prove himself in future..But a good step up..
Good job looking after val and giving him a step up test..Prob the safest..But i dont count out jameel one bit..
Sorry dont know about this other fight..lol
Peace
PBF beats ODLH - If he wins a close match, it reassures us that he's a great of today and still P4P #1. If he blows out ODLH or even stops him (which won't happen), proves that he might be an all-time great considering the guy IS NOT a light middle much less a welter.Quote:

Hatton beats Urango - If he wins a close match, it proves that his days at 140 are probably over because he needs to lose too much weight and he needs to move to 147. If he stops or blows out Urango, it proves that Hatton can move back down to 140 successfully and rule the division again.
Castillo beats Ngoudjo - If he wins a close match, it proves that he needs to start taking better care of himself in between fights because this constant struggle to make weight is hurting his overall boxing skills. If he stops or blows Ngoudjo, it proves that Castillo can be a legitimate 140 fighter.
Valuev beats McCline - If he wins a close match, it proves that Valuev is really overrated. If he stops or blows out McCline, it proves that the hype might be justified and that he can hang with a decent big guy (McCline is like 6'7 or something like that) and I'd give him a little better shot of lasting until the later rounds against Wlad before he gets his chin checked.
Zsolt Erdei beats Danny Santiago - If he wins a close match, stops, or blows out Santiago, it proves absolutely nothing.
This might be unfair to Floyd though. If Oscar isn't effective, how do you know it's age and ring rust, and not just that Floyd is making him look bad?Quote:

Before the fight they kept saying, "Baldomir is tough and strong, he's going to give Mayweather an extremely tough fight and could definitely win it." Then after Floyd pitched a shutout, all the same people (like Steward) said, "Oh well, I wasn't that impressed, Baldomir looked very slow, he didn't have a chance."
I think Floyd may be put in a no-win situation. If he loses, people will say this proves he was overrated. If he wins, people will make excuses for DLH because of his age.
All the fights involve a massive favourite - barring Oscar-Floyd - and it'll be a huge upset if the jolly gets done
Is the point that no-ones opinion will change?
They're shit fights?
We should be able to tell a difference between ODLH being slower than usual and getting winded faster and just getting schooled. Baldomir was on his game, to his credit he gave it his all, it just wasn't nearly enough to be competitive.Quote:

I fully expect ODLH to be in top shape and 100% on his game come cinco de mayo.Quote:

if npbf wins it takes his legacy to a new level.
but all the others should win.
Most of those listed are expected to be victories for the bigger name,ie JC,JLC,Ricky etc As for PBF-Oscar,if PBF wins,I'll give him credit but I expect him if he is anywhere near as good as he says he is. If Oscar wins,I'll give me HUUUUUUUUGE credit especially taking into account his layoffs, recent losses etc and it would also make me question how good was Floyd?
To be totaly honest... (providing the losser still fights well...)
PBF beats ODLH I think this would really be a massive win for mayweather, i think there will still be questions about oscars ring activity, his age etc, but a massive win for floyd
Calzaghe beats Manfredo - he needs to win inside 6 imo
Hatton beats Urango hard to say, coz hes been made out to be a joke champion
Castillo beats Ngoudjo never heard of him so no idea?
Valuev beats McCline not seen McCline fight...
Zsolt Erdei beats Danny Santiago dunno who the hell either one is ;D
Well all of these guys are odds on favourites so it wont be a big surprise to see any of them win. Honestly tho I'd give Oscar a decent chance and really hope he beats Floyd. De La Hoya and Mayweather is certainly the only one there where Ill be betting against the favourite.
Sheep whats the current Vegas odds on the Mayweather Delahoya fight.. Who is the favorite at the moment??Quote:

I have it as
Mayweather = -150 = 2/3
de la Hoya = +125 = 5/4
draw = + 2500 = 25/1
Man I am so retarded reading that stuff but if I am seeing it properly, Vegas has ODLH the favorite and you have Mayweather as your favorite.. Am I right? your gonna have to have a class for me so I can grasp this whole concept. LOL!!! ;D
I agree they are pretty useless fights. The only one I can see worth watching is the Mayweather fight in case there is an upset, but I don't see that happening.Quote:

American odds
if the number is negative (i.e. -188) that is how many dollars you have to bet to win 100 dollars
if the number is positive (i.e. +200) that is how much you win if you bet $100.00
Traditional odds
Paysout numerator i.e. 5/1 for the amount in the denominator bid 5/1 so
this example would payout 5 dollars to every one dollar bid
Thank you Bro... :coolclick: for the explanationQuote:

Depends on how Manfredo beats him, if it's a lopsided decision for Manfredo, I'd have to say Calzaghe was over-rated, if it's a close competitive bout, I'd say Manfredo was better than I gave him credit for. Seriously doubt this will happen though. IF Manfredo were to win, then he should fight the winner of Kessler / Andrade.Quote:
