who wishes PBf stayed at 135 longer

i would have love to see PBF against freitas, raheem, casamayor, kid diamond there are some fights there that i wanted to see.

not only at 135, also at 140/147 he pretty much jst got title shots instantly and took weak champs titles and continued on up the weight divisions.

PBF should have stayed at ALL of his weight classes longer he missed out on a TON of good fights.....or maybe he didn't MISS them at all maybe he just dodged them


Not specifically the people you mentioned but there are SOME he could have fought that he didn't

i felt like PBF could have been one of the best lightweights ever

I have mixed feelings about it his moving up in weight.

The fights at 135 were more exciting.

But ya can't blame him to step up where the $$$ was, and still prove he has great skills.

PBF destroys all of the above fighters. I'm far more interested in seeing him in the big fights at 140 and 147. Win or lose against ODLH, I think he'll be back down to 147.

i completey understand why he moved up. i was happy at when he was chasing gatti. at the same time there were other fights at 135 that would have like to seen in. the probably would have never happen because PBF is an HBO fighter and showtime pretty much does all the coverage for the top lightweights.

i think PBF would win but they would have been good fights

I think his age and weight forced him to move up, plus he strived for oscar's achievement, I feel like his whole career is focused on out doing Oscar, and he's doing it.

I can't see any of them being difficult for PBF except Casamayor who he should have faced, but IMO its good he moved up because now he can fight ODLH which will do much more for his legacy, and perhaps Mosley, and/or Wright... his weight change was for this time in his career, and everything else just led up to this... lets just hope he doesn't quit after the ODLH fight for a few years.

exactly what i was thinking he needed to do to win this fight.

pbf at 154 would be sacrificing tons of speed and elusiveness, and i dont think theres room to sacrifice anything against oscar delahoya at yet another weight class :-\

Boxing is a money game. The bigger money fights for Floyd were at the higher weights. He did what was best for him. Like it should be. Mayweather-Casamayor was the only fight that should of happened but didn't.

winky will make easy work for floyd.

I prefer guys that stay at a weight class and clean up and imagine all the fights that could have been made! I don't think he's fought particularly good fighters at 140 and 147,whereas at 135,had he stayed,there are lots of names there as mentioned but guess there's nowhere near as much $$$ there.

I'm not so sure... Winky would have a hard time getting back down to 154, and he is alot slower than when he beat Mosley... I haven't seen Winky have the speed to hit PBF in awhile, and also PBF is more skilled than WInky which Mosley wasn't.

PBF didn't do shit at 140 but make money. the biggest fight he had at that weight was his easiest fight at the weight.

Your whole post was just hating garbage. How can you say he moved up because the divisions got deeper... It's just so amazing what people say. It can't be about that and the money. People aren't stupid, big money doesn't come from fighting guys who the average fan doesn't give a chance to beat you. And more importantly, you can't fight more than one guy at a time...People just expect him to fight everyone who makes a splash. Who did he duck at 135, he fought Castillo twice, who beat just about everyone else in the division, he moved up for the money. That's the only thing you say that is really correct. But after that he's taken a fine route... Who in your opinion would have been a tougher fight for him at 135 or 140 than Judah and Baldomir were at 147?? Not to mention DLH at 154.. I think the consensus among true boxing fans who don't have some bias is that Oscar is easily the toughest realistic fights Floyd could have taken other than maybe Winky which really wouldn't have been.. Least that's what I remember everyone saying after the MAyorga fight... The fight would never happen, DLH at 154 would be too much...

But do you honestly think that because he didn't fight Hatton or Cotto at 140, it has anything more to do with him then it does them?? For one thing there's no chance Bob Arum would have let Miguel Cotto fight Mayweather at 140, Floyd had recently left him and they were on very bad terms.. It would be the equivalent of Frank Warren handing Amir Khan to Hatton at 140 in Manchester, you know? There's just no way in hell. And as far as FLoyd vs Hatton you can debate that all day but bottom line the fight never happened for whatever reason, but since they respectively beat Tszyu and Gatti at 140 Floyd has fared better than Hatton. Judah and Baldomir are better than Urango and Collazo, and DLH is a much higher ground than Castillo.. There's really just no basis for so many people's hate of Floyd in some ways.

While i agree with most of your post i have to say that i personally believe Collazo would beat Judah quite handily. After that, i don't see much difference between Urango and Baldomir expept Urango is probably a bit quicker and a much bigger puncher for a 140 anyway. I agree that Oscar is a bigger name than Castillo but that's due to the way he is been marketed through out his career. Am not doubting that his ability has something to with it because he is top top draw. He's quality....well he was quality. To me a win over mayorga doesn't mean anything. Mayorga is crap and just had a big mouth. I personally believe Castillo beat Mayweather 1st time round and i don't think Oscar will come close to giving Mayweather that much trouble. I think Floyd will completely dominate the fight.

I can respect that you think collazo would beat Judah... I don't, and I think he'll get stopped by Mosley anyways, so we'll see. But even if you think he'd win, that doesn't make Collazo a more noteworthy opponent for Hatton than Judah was for Floyd. Collazo's only good win was over Jose antonio Rivera before Hatton fought him.. And as far as the difference between Urango and Baldomir. Please. Here, Ill give you a hand. Baldomir was the undisputed welterweight champion, who was coming off wins over Judah and Gatti. Urango was an ex prospect who had been exposed, a paper champ who didn't even beat Ben Rabah and didn't deserve to have a belt. Let alone the fact that he didn't even try to do anything all fight. How can you say that he's quicker or a bigger puncher, when he didn't display either of those things for two seconds against Hatton. He was terribly inactive all night, not like Baldomir against Floyd who tried but was way too slow, Urango didn't try to do anything for most of the fight. I can respect that your trying hard to come up with some good damage control, but really.. Face facts, Hatton isn't even fighting Castillo, the one elite established fighter he has talked about, anymore. Now he's fighting probably the guy who Urango supposedly just beat for the IBF title before Hatton took it. Since when is the loser of a title eliminator put right back into another one? It's crap and if Hatton was really confident and wanted to prove himself he'd vacate the belt.
