Should be a great fight. I've only seen Andrade fight once, last time out against the Alien. It was over so quickly you couldn't really tell anything about it.Quote:

As a Calzaghe fan, I have to grudgingly go along with that :(Quote:

HBO had a full production team in Denmark for the Kessler-Beyer fight and then only showed 30 secs.Quote:

Who knows.
This is going to be one of the most exciting upper division fights in a while. Both guys could be stars in America if they had more exposure.
I got no call on this fight, yet. I need to review more of Andrade's fights. He's looked good in the couple I have seen. But I want check out more. Mad props to Kessler. He ain't taking the cowards way route like Calzaghe is.
none of these guy's are in calzaghes class both if any of you guy's have ever seen kessler fight you'll know he's b-level. a win over markus beyer doesn't make you a superstar, when calzaghe was fighting lacy both these guy's wern't quoted, ive seen kessler fight about 12 times although he dopes have good power and a descent jab a fight with joe would be another 120-108 fight or even a late ko.
If Kessler is B-level, how would you describe Calzaghe's average level of opposition since becomming a champ? C-? D?Quote:

How do you compare Jeff Lacy to Kessler? I think Kessler is well
better than Lacy.
What you think of Andrade, carnal?Quote:

Bottom line, my opinion:
Pros
===========
Great power in both hands
Hell of a beard
Cons
===========
Leaky defense
Doesn't let his hands go enough.
For the 1,000th time. Yes. Let me break it down for youQuote:

Hopkins: 168? I can still make 160
Calzaghe: Don't you want to fight for the WBO Super Middleweight title?
Hopkins: WBO still in buisness? What fighters they rank?
Calzaghe: Yeah they still around. They got me facing future HOF's like Will McIntyre, Tocker Pudwill, Miguel Jimenez. Need I go on?
Hopkins: Please don't. Anyway I'm not sure if 3 mill is enough for me to move up in weight and give up my titles. I am 40. You know. Plus I made more knocking out Trinidad
Calzaghe: I know your 40. I love facing old shot fighters. I'm not saying your shot. Just old fighters are easier to beat. Come on, let's do it
Hopkins: I tell you what. I'll say yeah for now. But give me 2 weeks to sign the contract. If something better comes up. I'll take it. Is that cool?
Calzaghe: That's fine. If you can get more money somewhere else. Go ahead. I understand. It's all about the chedder. And don't worry about me. I won't say anything bad about you.
De La Hoya: What's up Hopkins? I'm trying to make history let's fight?
Hopkins: You want to fight me?
De La Hoya: Yeah, why you got anything lined up?
Hopkins: Not really. Calzslapply, Calzcrappy. Whatever his name is wants to fight.
De La Hoya: Really? You going to waste your time with him? He's garbage
Hopkins: I know. But it's an easy 3 million. Did you know the WBO is still around? He's there champ
De La Hoya: 3 million? And you got to move up in weight? Just to fight for the WBO?
Hopkins: That's the plan
De La Hoya: I'll give you 10 mill. And we fight at 160.
Hopkins: Alright. Joe said he understands good business. Plus I can always ko him later
Hopkins: Ay Joe. No deal. Oscar wants to give me 10 million. To fight him
Calzaghe: Oscar? You mean Oscar Del Hoya? O'h my God I love him. I got his record album. It's good
Hopkins: I'm sure it is. Anyway we cool?
Calzaghe: But what about me? Fight me. I need the exposure
Hopkins: Tell you what Joe. Since you came at me first. I'll give you a chance. Give me 6 mill. And it's on.
Calzaghe: 6 mill? I don't think daddy Frank will go for it
Hopkins: He got deep pockets
Calzaghe: But he's a cheap bastard
Hopkins: Just do it
Calzaghe: Okay, but if he says no it's okay with me. I understand you fighting Oscar. I won't talk shit. Just do me a favor
Hopkins: What's that?
Calzaghe: Get me Oscar's autograph?
Calzaghe: Ay daddy. Hopkins wants 6 to fight.
Warren: I know. Oscar's offering 10
Calzaghe: So we going to do it
Warren: Hell no ! You want to get your ass kick? You can't win. You see the plan was never to fight Hopkins. We just wanted to make it seem that way. I knew about the De La Hoya fight all along. So we make Hopkins a lower offer. He rejects it. And we tell everybody he scare of you. You understand? That's call making you look good
Calzaghe: I see. Thank you daddy. I never wanted to fight Hopkins anyway. He's scary. I heard he went to jail
Warren: He did
Calzaghe: By the way, daddy. Guess what
Waarren: What?
Calzaghe: I'm getting Oscar's autograph
That's priceless. Great post. CC.Quote:

Hopkins made $2.5m against Trinidad. $2.5m is less than $3m.
$1m to fight Hakkar. $1m is less than $3m.
$300,000 to fight Joppy. $300,000 is less than $3m.
$1m to fight Allan. $1m is less than $3m.
$1m + $300,000 + $1m = $2.3m. $2.3m is less than $3m.
Why was it he didn't fight Calzaghe for that easy $3m before getting to the Golden Boy? What sets those guys apart from Calzaghe?
Why was it he demanded $6m to face Calzaghe in 2002 and yet in 2006 he fought Tarver for his second biggest pay day ever - $5m?
You really need to get your numbers straight. Once the PPV money was added Hopkins took home close to 6 million for the Trinidad fight. That\'s according to both Ring magazine and KO magazine who I think know a good amount about boxing.Quote:

Violent Demise have a guess at how many times you have contradicted yourself on that one in the last 3 or 4 months?
Once or twice. It happens. Rarely for me. But it happens. Tell many how many times. Give a me number. That way i can give you your number. I might not log them down like you do, but it doesn't mean I ain't noticed the number of times you contradicted yourself.Quote:

By the way I dont log anything ;D Its just that when a man of your unquestionable wisedom slips up or has to squirm you cant help but notice. Kinda like If Wacko did a sober round by round, or claims to like girls, you notice that kind of stuff.
I don't know the number. I remember losing count at around 63. If you double that you might have the number of times you done it in the last 2 months.Quote:
