I'm having a case of deja vu. Isn't this the same thing Floyd Mayweather was saying that had people calling him a fraud? And since Floyd's response made Margarito "the most feared man in boxing" is that title now passed to Paul Williams?

Granted, Tony's opposition has been slighty better than Williams but Tony is still a nobody. He's being served up for Cotto and after Cotto gets done with him then Tony can retire because he'll never get another title shot again. What bullshit!!! He's claiming he's still hurt but his promoter came out and said that Tony wasn't gonna fight Williams because he was gonna fight Cotto and that he would relinquish the belt. Bob Arum said that. Awesome point, agreed 100%. I think things like this expose certain boxing fans as being grossly biased and generally full of shit.

I don't have a problem with Margarito not fighitng Williams if he fights Cotto because IMO Cotto is the better of the two opponents right now, but if he opted out for some POS then I would be mad at his hypocrisy. However I truly believe Margarito is willing to face opponents... except maybe Williams.

the point is that if floyd loses to oscar at junior middleweight he can go back down to 147 and clean out the arum hype machines (before the clottey fight you were margaritos biggest fan, then you jump ship as soon as he has a bad outing) and take on some quality fighters and still go on to be great.

maybe after another 3 or 4 fights

ive posted these same opinions for a long time now and have posted in the past that the 1st cotto fight i saw was on shobox. perhaps you were at some fat kid/weight loss camp where they didnt have internet access so you could come on the forum.

Cotto destroys Margarito I believe. I love the body work Cotto puts in. He is one of the freakishly strong fighters that has power above his division I believe. Margarito is a top 10 solid fighter, however I think he will have to answer some very hard questions whenever he gets in with Cotto.
Margarito had a bad outing against Clottey, and that happens...still a cracking fight. However I think Cotto is really something special.
As far as Margarito beating Williams, VD is right. Sharmba is not a good indicator as to Paul's place. To be a top contender in the WW division takes a little more than that. Who knows?? Unproven, however he has been brought up very slow it seems.

And it is quite clear that Frozensolid hates(for want of a better term) on Cotto. Cotto an Arum hype machine..you're joking. Miguel is an awesome all rounder fighter that is going to break everyone at ww in half if they dare step in the ring with him.
