Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
At Superfeather weight who would win? Naz has speed, reflexes, KO power
and buckets of stamina. Floyd is fast and moves like a rubber man around the
ring.
Who would win?

Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
This is easy. Mayweather would have completely destroyed him. If Hamed was overmatched by Barrera at 126, how do you think he would do against a younger, faster, better fighter at 130?
Mayweather wouldn't have lost a round.

well said, but you failed to mention the wicked power that mayweather had at 130............. even 135
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
its not even a close fight, prettyboy would beat him inside 4 rounds, anyway the fight would never happen as naz would never sign the contract, unless prettyboy was 47 and having his first fight in 10 years
mayweather wins by ko in 4 rounds or under
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
naz would have been so unlike anyone mayweather has faught before that it's difficult to predict how he owuld handle fighting someone like naz. i think floyd would deliver a boxing lesson and probably embaress naz but it would have been interesting to see how floyd would have handled being hit by someone like naz.
and i don't think it would have been that unlikely that naz would have signed for this fight, he never really avoided anyone and faught barrera and nearly faught morales. yes his reasons for fighting barrera may have been because he was pretty sure he would make easy work of him (as some of you guys reckon). but lets not forget that barrera was coming off the first fight with morales and so naz had just seen (he was at the fight) how dangerous barrera is and what he can do.
it's just as likely that mayweather wouldn't sign for this fight as it is that naz wouldnt. mayweather hasn't really got a history for fighting the best possible opposition either.

Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
Who was/is that streak of piss Mayweather was fighting there?
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
Nice matchup, but ultimately you can't punch what you can't see PBF would be too elusive for Naz....
Though Naz had power thats not what it's all about it's takes more then that to beat a world class opponent.
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
I remember once there was a Naz vs Whittaker at 135 thread... It actually wen't on several pages with different opinions... Let's hope people aren't so silly this time.

Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
I remember after Mayweather destroyed Corrales, in the postfight interview Merchant asked Floyd who he wanted to fight next.
Floyd rattled off a couple names of guys at 130, and then said, "I'd also like to fight Prince Naseem if he moves up to 130."
Merchant started laughing hysterically and said, "Come on Floyd, that won't happen, after watching what you did tonight, Hamed doesn't want any part of you!!!"
And Merchant was right.

Naz also didn't want none of JMM either and turned down a fight against him.....

Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
If Naz lands, Mayweather is going to sleep. And naz was quick enough to land. On the other hand Mayweather may have given naz a boxing lesson. Depends which Naz were talking about. The half assed naz that showed up for barrera would have been schooled big time. Would have been close. Anybody who says Mayweather would kill Nas inside a few rounds is a complete idiot.
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
To be honest, I cant stand the little cunt. But before people started to try and mend something that wasnt broken Naz was speical, by the time he fought Barerra hed lost it, to many cooks.
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
Hamed was very versatile
By the time Naseem fought Barera he was a victim of his own hype but even then a prime MAB coulnt stop an easy to hit Hamed and also later admitted that Hamed was the hardest puncher he had faced, he obviously didnt have Mannys punch output but had harder shots
Floyd would have been made to fight a different fight to anything he has done before and would have not dealt with hamed awkwarness before either
Anything could have happened
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
floyd has an 8" reach over nas, with his speed and power at that weight, + the fact naz didn't have a rock hard chin floyd wins easily unless naz gets a lucky KO punch - and id ont see that happening
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
Mayweather was stronger at 130, good amount of power... endless stamina and unbelievable speed.
Naz's best wins came over chinny hyped fighters or fighters past it, MAB was never known as much of stylist when he fought Naz and he didn't even out fight he... he shut him out completely... imagine what Floyd would do?
Naz wouldn't lay a glove on him and because of Floyd's recent fights at 147 people seem to have forgeten his strength at 130.

Mayweather would kill Nas inside a few rounds. Nas had trouble with Kevin Kelly; a fighter on his best day who was Mayweather-lite. People tend to think Mayweather was thin-chinned because he was rarely hit, but that was not the case. Mayweather has shown, time and again, that fighters who give him room will have their @$$es handed to him. He adjusted within the ring to whatever was unexpected and given the fact his arms were so much longer he would have used that advantage and slice Hamed up like sushi.

I was going to say somewhat the same thing and bring up the Kelly fight as an example, but I wasn't going to make Kevin Kelly's year like you did.. Mayweather-lite?? More like Mayweather ZERO, or a Mayweather xtra lite now with aspartame that was opened last year and has been sitting on the counter... Not to mention Kelly was already past it by the time he fought Nas and still gave him all hell.. Mayweather would have had too much of everything for Naz, at 130 he would easily have the power to knock his block off.
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
kevin kelly was a southpaw. and he generally faught with a totally different tactic than mayweather does. he is a much more come forward fighter than mayweather. i can't really see any comparison other than they are both american boxers ???

Means nothing, he was 8 years older than Naz, 33 years old... which at 120-125lb is an old man... and if it's the fight I'm thinking of... the bloke had grey hairs and it was embarassing to watch... forgot which one it was, close to the MAB fight but Naseem fucked around and show boated with some ancient looking boxer which made MAB dislike Naseem.
Every big fight he won he was significantly younger and fresher.

I wasn't saying there was a comparison in terms of how they fight... I was saying that Kevin Kelly at his very best couldn't hold Mayweathers jockstrap and he had enough pop to put Naz in trouble at 126... Mayweather at 130 was so much better in every way. You really think Mayweather couldn't have fought coming forward against Naz?? He'd walk right through him.

This doesn't matter at all. Bungu had never fought above 122 pounds prior to the Hamed fight. He was the perfect fighter for Hamed, a guy with a decent reputation who Hamed could handle easily.
This doesn't prove that Hamed would've had the slightest chance of beating Mayweather, because he wouldn't have.
This fight never would have happened, just like Hatton vs. Mayweather is never going to happen now.
-
Re: Naseem Hammed Vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 130
this is easy, floyd would murder naz easier then anyone floyd has whoop. naz is a joke, his chin is a joke his style is a joke, all he had was power well not against an elite he never drop mab nor did he even daze him.floyd will murder the clown easy.
all floyd has to do is jab, thats about it to beat naz. but floyd has a millioin more then just a jab so yea floyd will murder naz easy.

I'm going to have to agree with you on this one......PBF is one of the Greatest fighters to ever live.....

Why because they are both British? Probably not worthy eh?

It has nothing to do with being British.
It has everything to do with the fact thay neither Hamed nor Hatton are anywhere near as good as Floyd Mayweather.

Tell me 5 fighters that haven't been beaten in 8 years right now that are fighting ??? And we'll see how little it means.

Gabula Vabaza
Nicky Cook
Sergiy Dzinziruk
Jean Francois Bergeron
Niclolay Valuev
And Carlos Quintana had been undefeated for over 8 years before Cotto destroyed him.

Completely agree, Bungu had fought his entire career at 122 and was a perfect fit for Naz. Undefeated solid record on paper a title holder in another div.....
Heres what I put on that "Was Naseem all hype" thread about his opponents.....

Gotta disagree with the ALL TIME GREAT part.
I just can't see myself discussing fighters that have fought in the Feather div. such as Arguello, Olivares, Saldivar, Pep, Nelson, Pedroza. Oh! and what about Naz?
It just doesn't make sense.....
I'll never get tired of saying that at their best Naz's opponent's are: Manuel Medina, Tom Johnson, Kevin Kelley, Wilfredo Vasquez, McGullough, Vuyani Bungu & MAB.
One 'A' Class opponent which he lost the fight against. The rest I would say Bungu was a 'C' class fighter who was moving up in weight.
Medina was a 'B' fighter, Kelly at his best was 'B'-, along with Johnson & Vasquez & McGullough.
I just don't think his resume speaks volumes and the part that I do agree with on your post BIG H is the part that he didn't have it in him, to dust his shoulders and get back in the ring.
Lennoxs and Naz brothers voices are still echoing in my head (from the Little Price, Big Fight documentary) as they say "He will be back, and he will be better then ever. All great champs have gone through this and they come back and thats what makes them great" :-X
Yeah!!! ???

He won his WBO title with a competitve UD over Daniel Santos and has since defended it agaisnt Sebastian Lujan with another decision.. So basically he's beaten Margaritos leftovers... Haven't seen much of him fight just saying that's pretty poor opposition to not blow away, plus considering he fights in Germany. I dont see much reason to get excited about him.
