Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds Adamek vs Dawson.

Once again...it's on my fellow forum goers.

While I am sure that many of my Yank bretheren are preparing for the traditional Super Bowl weekend...I for one am not. It's been a ruff week for the Wackster...ice storms, computers getting wacked, & now my grandmother is in the hospital...but life & the fights...they must go on.

That being said...it's fight night!!!!

Tonight, Saturday February the 3rd, 2007 ShowTime Championship Boxing is cranking out two fights with four of boxing's most talented crowd pleasing fighters in the game...that being said...the Wacko's Drunken Round by Round will be there live...via satellite...laptop...remote & couch to witness the whole sha-bang-a-bang!!!

The highly anticipated main event features in a war between two of the unbeatens at 175lbs. Tomasz Adamek (31-0 with 20 ko's) as he will defend his WBC light heavyweight title against hard-hitting hopeful & the WBC's #2 contender "Bad" Chad Dawson (23-0, 15 ko's). I like both fighters...& think that Adamek wins it...but I gotta pull for BCD due to the fact that the guy is from Wacko's home state of South Carolina.

The co-feature will be the return of Jesus Chavez (43-3, 30 ko's) as he defends his IBF lightweight crown against IBF interim 135-pound champ Julio Diaz (33-3, 24 ko's) in what's gonna be one hell of a cracking fight!!!

Break out the chips & salsa, your poison of choice, find that comfy spot on the couch, or just plop down in front of your computer...it's fight night & Wacko's got you covered from the couch!

CC wack...i believe that doing an RBR in this situation is going above and beyond the call of duty, and I'm sure that we all thank you for the commitment.

Personally I've voted for a Diaz pts win cause i think he's got the tools, heighy and reach to beat Chavez, and I reckon Adamek will KO Bad Chad, unless Bad chad pulls out a cracking punch or a performance of a lifetime.

I'm not sure how to vote yet...I want Adamek to win...even though I like BCD...he needs a head check. I surely want Chavez to win...I think he's one of the most underratted gents of the game.

CC wacko! I tell you what i really do enjoy watching Julio Diaz fight, he brings so much pride into the ring and i respect him a lot for that. I really feel that this will be an awesome match up tonight and i feel Jesus will have to battle hard cos of the very long lay off and what happened with Levander J. I want Julio to win but i cant see who the winner will be.

I really aint sure about Ademek/Dawson because i havent seen them fight before. But i want Ademek to win.

CC Wack. This is going to be a hella of a night for the fight game.

Adamek-Briggs was an absolutely fantastic fight. All Adamek does is come forward, he never stops. All action fighter and I am really glad that he is getting some American exposure. Looking for him to come up big tonight even though I like Dawson.

I'm really happy for Chavez. Have read up on him a bit after his book release. All the stuff the guy has been through, not only outside the ring but inside with Leavander, I wish him all the best. Julio is slick though and he's transformed over his last few fights from a boxer-puncher to a boxer. Very intriguing fight.

Then we have Spinks and Rodney Jones. Know absolutely nothing about Jones but Spinks is, dare I say it, fun to watch. Before he gasses out anyways. Tremendous speed, ridiculous entrances, good accuracy, good movement, smart fighter ect. I like watching him fight.

And on the undercard the Johnson brothers are fighting. Both 2004 amatuer world champions at middleweight and light heavy. Marcus is fighting some nobody at 175 but James is fighting Darnell Boone, the guy that downed Andre Ward. Boone has fought guys like Ward, Pascal and Anthony Thompson so it's a pretty big step for Marcus. Interesting to see how he handles it.

I used to work with some Polish fellas and they were crazy about Adamek and made me watch some footage and i was very impressed by him.

Chavez has been out for 16 months after the Levander debacle & I'm curious to see where his head is...as far as dealing out punishment. I think that he'll be leery of hammering home the head shots.

Benn and Eubank were never the same fighters after Gerald/Michael so statistically he'll be holding back but he did state he wanted to Honour his family and ultimately him with a top notch peformance.

Ok, so it has just turned midnight here in the Yoo-kay, so anyone have an idea when the boxing card will be getting under way? I want to stay up, but sadly there's a mate sleeping in my lounge, so he may send me to bed cause he wants to sleep. :( Life's not fair, eh?

Ummm, I'm not sure how a non-boxing fan would react to the suggestion that we stay up until 5am just so that we can watch a RBR from a really good fight. He'll barely watch boxing anyway, let alone watch some random guy from America write about two boxers he's never heard of! :p I'll try my best.

I don't understand why they wouldn't show the Spinks bout.....or most undercards at boxing events, since the cameras will be there anyway..

Anyway this is going to be real exciting, however it starts in 40 minutes here. Much earlier than usual. So you all should check with you tv program. I live in central time.

Dawson is very green for the upper class of Light Heavyweights. His defense isnt that good because he's open after every punch he throws, if Adamek is a puncher and catches him with the same shots Eric Harding did he could be hurt. I've only seen Adamek against Briggs the second time and I didn't think he won. So I'll pick Dawson. I won't be surprised if Adamek wins it though.

Nothing on it. Diaz to the body Right hand from Chavez. Chavez swings wild to the body right & left & Diaz jabs. Right hand from Chavez again. Lotta lunging swinging & missing here. Left hand from Diaz. Chavez takes it & jabs out. Chavez cracks Diaz wikth a nice right hand. Chavez to the body. Diaz lands a nice left hook followed byh a right hand. RIght hand from Chavez.

Round to Diaz...but it was close for an opener.

Jesus is saying he tried his best and his knee gave out, hes saying hes sorry if he let the people down but he just couldn't continue..... He got choke'd up a little bit... :-\

I feel bad for Chavez :'( He's doesn't fight Barerra because of injury and Juarez gets the glory(and Chavez may have beaten him THAT night) and then he gets this fight and gets another injury :'( I feel so bad for him :'(

Too much time off...waaaaaaaaaaaay too many detractions going into this fight.

Didn't know that he had surgery on his appendix & knee.

To bad. Chavez is a hell of a fighter.

All I can say about Diaz is that he looks beatable...leaves himself wide open even throwing a jab.
