Does Anyone Else Think Miranda vs Green will Resemble******************
I have been thinking about this and IMO I feel that Miranda Vs Green will be alot like, Margario vs Citron with Miranda absolutely decimating Green.

I don't think so because the main thing Cintron was lacking was confidence and Green doesn't have that problem. Not to mention he's a good boxer. I still believe Miranda is gonna win and probably in brutal fashion but it won't look like the Cintron meltdown.

:coolclick: Not so sure as I haven't seen much of Green, JT. One thing is for certain: It's going to be a tough night for anyone that steps in the ring with 'Pantera'.

Allan Green is a highly touted Suppermiddle prospect who fights a majority of his bouts on ESPN...
his claim to fame is is brutal 1st round KO of Jaidon Coddrington.
His Strengths are: Power and Speed
Weakness: Mediocre Boxing Skills, Defense leaks live a sive, chin is questionable, no medium fight experience let alone Big Fight, he is going from crawling to a full out sprint facing Miranda, its to soon and thats what is gonna get him KO'D

Re: Does Anyone Else Think Miranda vs Green will Resemble******************
I disagree that Green has mediocre boxing skills JT. He's certainly got much better skills than Miranda who can't box at all. Anyways, simply due to that alone I don't see him being blasted out without putting up a fight like Cintron.. He'll give Miranda some major issues while this thing lasts imo.. But it's highly unlikely that he'll outbox him over 12 rounds. Someone is getting KO'ed. THought at first that Miranda would take this but now Im really not so sure. If Allan Green had no problems cutting the weight he may be able to pull this thing off.. He needs to stay completely focused though. Never know, Miranda has probably never faced anyone who's going to hit him as hard as Green will, and we know Howard Eastman had him hurt. Green should try to keep Miranda off him with his jab and fight from the outside. Green has infighting skills as well, but I doubt his chin will hold up if they start to trade.

Re: Does Anyone Else Think Miranda vs Green will Resemble******************
It wont be a meltdown like Cintron, that was more of a psychological meltdown than anything else. I think Green will be in for a big surprise when he gets hit by Miranda. I think it is going to be a slow demolition. Miranda wearing him down and Green getting tired from moving so much.
Pantera mid to late TKO

Re: Does Anyone Else Think Miranda vs Green will Resemble******************
And just to clarify, there's no need to remind me how hurt Allan Green was by that bum, or the fact that he hasn't faced anyone who hits half as hard as Edison.. Was just saying that it may be true for Miranda as well.

I just feel that Miranda has the big edge in experience and has faced better opposition... Again I feel in the scheme of things Miranda is on a whole other level than Green and this fight is gonna be leading the sheep to the slaughter...
Dont get me wrong, this fight is necessary for Green since he is at the point in his career where he needs to shite or get off the pot.. Is he gonna be a prospect, star or another overhyped bust? Its really time to seperate the men from the boys here.

Re: Does Anyone Else Think Miranda vs Green will Resemble******************
I favour Pantera but Green does have power, boxing skills and is the man moving down in weight,it will be an interesting fight but I really want Pantera to KTFO Green,Pavlik,Abraham(I hate this guy!) and then JT. 2007 could be a HUGE year for Pantera.

Re: Does Anyone Else Think Miranda vs Green will Resemble******************
...I've said it before, I'll say it again. Green-Miranda will resemble McClellan-Jackson. Green can actually BOX which he'll do for a little while and then he'll unleash hell on Miranda.
But I could be wrong, I've been wrong before

Re: Does Anyone Else Think Miranda vs Green will Resemble******************
could look more like benn eubank. Not in class but in excitement in contrasting styles.

I think you are dead wrong here. I think you will be extremely surprised at what you will see from Miranda. I saw him sparring the other day and he looks great. Although the Gibbs fight was quick, he showed a lot of patience, a good jab, great counter punching, and actually a decent defense. I mean it has been almost a year since the Eastman fight and he was outboxing him! Now he has a year of schooling from a great trainer in Puerto Rico and has come a long way.
There is no doubt in my mind that he will come out and completely destroy Green. I think your opinion will strongly change after this fight.

Re: Does Anyone Else Think Miranda vs Green will Resemble******************
Green has never met a fighter with Mirandas power...Green has never gone the distance...Miranda has and still had something left at the end....I question Greens stamina...everything impressive about him happens early.....I think the first few rds will be exciting...after that Miranda will impose his will and shut green down

Re: Does Anyone Else Think Miranda vs Green will Resemble******************
Miranda hits pretty hard with that right cross, if Green can box he can win because Miranda keeps his left low and isnt the best defensively.I dont see Miranda losing a slugfest against Green.Miranda is 2" shorter than Green but has 3 inches on him in reach. I think he will end it with one of those brutal rights. One weakness I see in Miranda, is he keeps his left low. I think a southpaw could take major advantage of that.Too bad Green is orthodox.

Miranda KO's Green and makes it look ridicuously easy.  It may not come immeaditaly but it will come in a flash.  One second Green is there the next second he's not.
There is something insurmountable about Miranda.

Green has been 10 rounds twice....Miranda has been 10 or more rounds three times....not a HUGE difference
as for power....Green=super middleweight....Miranda=middleweight.....I wonder who's going to have more of an issue?
Be as suprised as you want to but Green will stomp a mudhole in Miranda's ass! I am not trying to dis Miranda...lord knows he's one hell of a fighter but I see the size, speed, power, and boxing ability advantage leanign towards Green

But what are you basing statement on....... Green has O big fight experience, let alone with any fighter remotely considered mediocre...
Miranda is a big Middleweight just like Jermain Taylor.... Green is just another flash in the pan, I would even favor Manfredo if him and green fought at 168lbs thats how little I think of Allan Green at this point of his career..
Miranda is a solid determined fighter that has provern he is the goods.... Green is a glorified ESPN weeknite fighter

CC. Green has faced nobody and hasnt looked great doing it. This fight is a HUGE stepup for him. He is coming down to 162 and fighting a guy that will most likely outweigh him come fight night. I see a much better change of Green completely self destructing than making this a close one.

Green is a good fighter....don't be surprised if he does well vs Miranda.
How much did Miranda weigh in his last couple of fights???

Miranda weighed in for Gibbs at 159.5lbs. His weight was up to 180lbs hours before the fight. HBO offically called him 175lbs in the ring, but he was more like 178lbs (they took off 4lbs for jeans and sandels).
For Abraham I think his offical weight was 174lbs in the ring (160lbs at weigh in, 2nd try). But this was an IBF title fight and he could only gain 10lbs overnight.
The fight with Green is at 162 with no morning weigh in. I am sure Miranda will be pushing 180lbs in the ring. I doubt Green, being a vegeterian, will gain nearly as that much overnight.
