Been done before I know but its always a good topic.
Carl Thompson's KO of a South African who's name I cant remember is by far the best 1 punch KO I have ever watched.Thompson was also a mile behind on the cards as well.

That was one of the greatest beatdowns but that wasn't no one punch knockout. He rocked him like 5 seconds into the fight and Ruiz flew into the ropes, dazed and confused but still on his feet, then Tua let loose a vicous 8 or 9 punch combo. The greatest one punch knockout has to be Vincent Pettway's left hook that put Simon Brown to sleep and had him throwing punches on his back in an unconcious state.Quote:

Cant believe no one has bought up Marciano vs Walcott 1.

Grimsley starts with a small feeler jab and Thunder throws a looping overhand right that lands flush @ 0:02 of the first round!
Crawford is down and out! count to ten.
Fight over @ 0:13 of the first round!
Fight was televised and is prob the most famous 1 punch KO and quickest KO in the HW div that is well known!
My vote..
that was an idiot ref, why the eff was he counting for it was clear the guy wasn't gonna get up, and he didn't even bother to help try wake the guy up after he counted, he should of instantly called the doctor instead of counting like a dumb monkey.Quote:

but love Mccallum v Donald curry is a classic 1 punch knockout
Some good ones so far but it took a while for Cockney to get Marciano - Walcott. The perfect punch. Doesn't get much better then that. But imo...
Floyd Patterson over Ingemar Johansson. Absolutely sickening. Patterson was on the outside, lunges in, put everything he had into a left hook that connected flush and sent Johansen flying. He was knocked unconscious and all the while his leg was twitching violently. Tthe most brutal knockouts ever recorded in a heavyweight title fight imo.
Probably the most significant one punch KO too, as it made Patterson the first ever 2 time heavyweight champion.
STARR CANT YOU COUNT ?
HOW MANY PUNCHES WERE THERE ?
That KO was the result of like 3-4 huge bombs wasn't it? Including one when Ruiz was falling.Quote:

jacksons KO of graham was in the fourth round !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Benn-Chantler.
Mike Tyson -v- Francois Botha. :boxing:
Bob Foster v Dick Tiger was pretty good
Donald Curry knocking out Milton McCrory
Erik Morales knocking out Angel Chacon
John Michael Johnson knocking out Augie Sanchez
Gaby Canizales knocking out Happy Lora
Ricardo Lopez knocking out Zolani Petelo
cottos one punch knock out of quintana...
Marciano-Walcott was devastating.
"The Phantom punch", Ali-Liston, just because it was wierd.
Wasn't the Judah shuffle a 1 puncher?
Also, Jeremy Williams has been on both the giving and receiving ends of rediculous one punch knockouts. Obviously he got KTFO by Peter, but a couple of years before that he knocked that punk out at 10 seconds of the first round. LOL Still in the guiness book I think for fastest knockout.
I actually hung out with Jeremy Williams. He's a great guy, and funny as hell. Obviously no brain damage from the Peter fight. He was a hell of a fighter before Peter got to him too. Devastating power, even though he was little.
He's doing MMA now. Currently 2-0. Ironically, I think he's won both fights by guillotine choke. I guess his dad was some stud college wrestler, and he's been training in BJJ.
He also had the sports quote of the year... "What's that white guy's name? Liddell? I'd love for him to stand with me. When I see these guys stand it makes me smile. It's like I'm a professor, and they're a junior college drop out".
I'd actually love to see Williams/Liddell. Williams probably actually has more ground game, and I really don't think Liddell could stand with a former world class heavyweight.
