I sorta think that other title he has, y'know the undisputed linear one, is of much more relevance than this. I long since stopped giving a shit about the alphabet titles.
He's got The Ring belt, thats all that matters.
In theory what they aim to do is exactly what boxing needs if you look at the bigger picture. ;)
Cool click for that smash. I think that is what boxing needs more than anything. Maybe the IBO belt will be regarded higher than the other 4 main alphabet titles at some point in the future. I can see where they are trying to go with this.Quote:

Funny, didn't the IBO do something similar with Naseem & MAB when they fought?
If memory serves me right I think they did.....
:coolclick: # 339 I Agree. so many bullshit belts.. Ring Magazine's belt is essentially the best gauge as to ones Championship authenticity ! O0Quote:

At least one organization has got their heads screwed on
Well i think the belt that matters is the Ring belt of course but i like the concept that the IBO is trying to pull. thats what good for boxing.
It will never ever happen but gimme the old school (One belt) anyday ;)
Who changed the thread title from BITCH to B@*%$?
No Need ???

Lennox Lewis held the HW version,
Roy Jones,,Held the LH version,,so did Tarver ,,Glen Johnson and Bernard Hopkins...not that it makes the title worth much more but there have been big names associated with it
Currently Wlad Klitschko holds a version of it,,Vic Darchinyan,,Raymond Joval,,and Rafel Marquez all hold the title dubbed IBO
Lacy held the IBO belt to, dunno what happend to that after the calzaghe loss tho
Yeh but i think there is a real chance Tony can lose against Williams. Not saying he would but Williams is a much better opponent than any of Hatton's mandatories.Quote:

Nah! mate just don't like the way it appears....
The other night we modified a thread that Danny_G did that had the word "biatches" on the title.... So it's nothing against you... ;)
Hope you understand Smash, you know you're my boy!!! 8)
Dont act as if therre is suddenly some sanctioning body which has the publics interest in mind and cares about their fighters... the IBO are simply making a statement like this so maybe more than 12 people will know they exist, if they were ever to reach the same level as the main 4 bodies they would in turn become no different. You can't screw people over and enforce dubious mandatories when you may as well not even exist and dont have the power.
I think Hattons done the right thing, or should i say HBO has done the right thing they want action from Ricky an after the last outing he owes them a bit. Don't get me wrong I love Ricky but the last five rounds V Urangutan can't have bolstered his PPV marketability an haven't HBO given him a five fight deal or was it three. Also this will be his last fight of the deal he signed with Dennis Hobson i think, best thing he could do sign with GBPromotions and keep in fuckin shape between fights. COME ON RICKY!!
My favourite part of the article was regarding how the IBO select their top 10 contenders as opposed to the other belt organisations.
The IBO is the only sanctioning body - including the de facto ‘championship’ of New York boxing magazine the Ring - to have fully automated (‘computerised’) rankings which are based on fighter results and nothing else
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the method that boxrec use to calculate their rankings? :-X
No wander they say they don't enforce mandatories, any ranking system based on the boxrec method would produce even worse mandatories than the IBF!
Hatton's ducking N'dou?Quote:

Froch is looking in a v healthy position at Super Middleweight and needs to up his fight rate as he'll overtake Jeff Lacy and his KO record if he does ;)
the IBO are funny they have a great computerised unbiased ratings structure. Then let there champions box anyone they want. Some what defeats the object.Quote:
