Although N'dou is "champ" for all intents and purposes its BS. IMO it's vacant, I can't wait for D-hop to smash N'dou. At least he's earned a title shot.

Well Junior Witter must be pleased, he is surely now considered the best champion at 140lb!
I mean M'baye, Torres and Ndou could hardly be a worse trio of world champs.
You just know that Ricky is going to want to go after Torres and M'baye, I mean 5 then 6 world title belts, it's just too big an opportunity to miss :P

Urango wasn't being effectively aggressive, just aggressive
If one guy takes a step forward, and the other takes a step backwards, who's winning the fight? Either way Urango landed more shots in that fight, Urango looked like he was winning, he won.

We'll agree to disagree, but there's nothing to get over p4pking. Rabah isn't so great really and neither is Urango. They're chalk and cheese and its what ever your opinion is whether you prefer one or the other, but let me ask you this, do you think Urango could beat N'dou?

I guess I just can't see how a knowledgable boxing fan could have scored that fight for Urango, but I guess we can't agree there.. As for Urango vs N'dou.... Meh, who knows? I didn't see N'dou beat Rabah so I can't really say. I will tell you I think alot of fighters could beat Urango. D Hopkins, Witter, Rabah, vivian Harris, Pauli Malignaggi, Edner Cherry, Juan Lazcano even I would favour to beat Urango. So yeah, I guess I think N'dou would probably beat him as well. N'dou is a relentless attacker with good body punching, and is extremely durable. I think he's almost just a slightly better version of Urango. Noone I've just mentioned I would consider elite though.

Thank you Yotisdan. Also WTF is up with the IBF, they are embarassing themselves more than the WBC has lately. As far as I'm concerned their little 140 lb IBF belt means very little now. I hate British Troll, but he should not be stripped for choosing to fight a great fighter like Castillo!

Those are two completely differnt fights. Ben Rabah ran like a coward, threw few punches, landed NOTHING meaningful and was in full on retreat mode the whole time. British Troll boxed, and did NOT run. He also clinched and hit on the break repeatadly. However, he did land a good number of shots, that had some zip on them and came to fight. He used lateral movement and outboxed Urango. He did not throw pitter patt garbage while running for his life like Ben Rabah did. He landed meaningful punches and outworked Urango. Neither fighter hurt Urango, but Hatton clearly won. Ben Rabah did jack shat.

Im not denying that Rabah fought moving backwards, but if he's landing punches and the other guy isn't, how the hell can you say he isn't winning the rounds?? Boxing off the back foot is a viable way to win fights, it's up to the other guy to cut off the ring and win exchanges, which in most instances is a simple solution to a guy who's constantly retreating. Urango didn't, plain and simple. He was outboxed. I agree, Rabah wasn't impressive, and he was hesistant to engage with urango inside.. But if Urango couldn't capitalize on the fact that his opponent was scared of his power and constantly moving backwards, he simply proves to be an extrmeley limited fighter. I guess it comes down to, you see tying up constantly and punching in clinches as more impressive or convincing then boxing off the back foot. I don't.

You obviously haven't seen Urango vs. Ben Rabah. Neither are great, but Urango CLEARLY lost that fight. For you to call him a strong undefeated exciting fighter and praise Hatton for beating him, then say N'dou is a chump even though he stopped Ben Rabah, it just shows an incredible bias, really.
We actually had this fight televised in the UK on channel 5 fight of the week, and Rabah tasted a bit of Urango's power, then ran away. How can you win rounds on the back foot? You can't. 2 of the 4 criteria you score on is effective punching and aggression, the other 2 are generalship and defence, but everyone knows there's more emphasis on the first 2. On that basis Urango won more rounds.

Those are two completely differnt fights. Ben Rabah ran like a coward, threw few punches, landed NOTHING meaningful and was in full on retreat mode the whole time. British Troll boxed, and did NOT run. He also clinched and hit on the break repeatadly. However, he did land a good number of shots, that had some zip on them and came to fight. He used lateral movement and outboxed Urango. He did not throw pitter patt garbage while running for his life like Ben Rabah did. He landed meaningful punches and outworked Urango. Neither fighter hurt Urango, but Hatton clearly won. Ben Rabah did jack shat.

Boxing?! Boxing?! There is a very BIG differnce between boxing and what Ben Rabah did. What PBF does is boxing. What Ricardo Lopez did was boxing. What Whitaker did was boxing. What Ben Rabah, and even Worse, Spinks, have done, is run, throw pitter patt garbage, inflict NO damage on their opponent, in fact not even try to inflict damage, land few punches, zero meaningful punches, and SURVIVE. haha... Ok, wer're never going to agree on this and I shouldn't even still be up. CC for sharing my view of the hills have eyes.. And like I said, I was never impressed for one second with Rabah and I'm not going to argue with yyou that all those fighters you named are so many levels above him.. It's just that for as bad as Rabah was, Urango was even worse. I mean talk about hopeless.. He had a guy, who like you say, was always moving backwards, and never trying to hurt him.. And he STILL couldn't get inside and do any damage, or cut off the ring in any instance?? that's pathetic.

Urango wasn't being effectively aggressive, just aggressive
If one guy takes a step forward, and the other takes a step backwards, who's winning the fight? Either way Urango landed more shots in that fight, Urango looked like he was winning, he won.
